Yorba Linda is starting to have an influx of specialty ice cream shops open up around town, but old faithful, Baskin Robbins is still an excellent place to grab a cone or sundae! In fact, it's the perfect place to reminisce about trips made to 31 Flavors, as my family calls it, as a child. All those classics flavors still make the rotation: German Chocolate Cake, Baseball Nut, Chocolate Mousse Royale, all the different cheesecake flavors ~ they're all there to bring back fond childhood memories. Some of them have even become standard flavors like Pralines and Cream, Gold Medal Ribbon, and Jamoca Almond Fudge. Fun times, fun memories! The shop is still set up much like it always has been. The color theme and the uniforms have changed over the years, and although it's been "updated ", it's still familiar. Our local Baskin-Robbins didn't offer the SpongeBob cake design but luckily this location did and wasn't too much farther from our home. First off the ice cream was already melted in the freezer. Second of all there was only 1 employee working with over 12 people in the smaller store on Mother's Day. I just can't believe that big corporations are always understaffed to save a few dollars. Now the worker who was working was super nice and was very quick at his job. In a world where customer service has truly become so undervalued, I can't express my appreciation enough for kind people like Libby! We were fortunate enough to meet her when we stopped by for some ice cream scoops and she was beyond gracious. She allowed us to try samples, was patient with us while we took our time selecting our final choices and rang us up quickly. I live in Anaheim Hills, a mile away from Baskin Robins Anaheim Hills, but I go and drive to this Baskin Robins about 12 minutes drive. It is not because I like driving on the freeway in traffic to get away from my super hyper children so I can listen to my music full of cussing (just kidding) and calling it free time. It is because this particular Baskin Robins has great customer service. I had three issues and I won't mention what they are because I don't wanna be called a Karen but the three staff who handled my issues were so understanding. All of them did what I requested with no hesitation. I just felt like they do want their customers to be happy. I also like this particular location because they can accommodate cakes within 24 hours, unlike other Baskin Robins that require 48 hours. Their cakes are also super cute compare to the other location. They seem more creative. This location will be MY Baskin-Robbins!!! Please don't change wonderful staff!!! We didn't get desserts at restaurant because we wanted Baskin Robbins. We went next door at 9:45 and the employee refused to serve us. She said she needs to close. I've always liked going here. They have good quality ice cream, but I would rather go to Rich Farm even though it's a little further because it's more expensive here. And personally, I think they make their ice cream too sweet here. All of the flavors still tastes pretty good though, especially Cake Batter and Rocky Road. The cakes are good too and my favorite cakes are the ice cream cakes. The creaminess and how tasty the cakes are will for sure make anyone's birthday better. Tonight 09/08/22 Received the wrong order, called the location was told by a girl that I need to be put on a brief hold.. 10 minutes goes by and I decide to call again. The phone was after disconnected (mind you 40 minutes before closing) time. Felt like my money was being stolen. I drove down to the store to be welcomed by a rude girl at the front. After the attitude that was given to me I asked for name. She looked at the other boy employee in the back and said to me "why". I stated I needed it for business reasons as I'm sure the owner would not like someone like this working under them especially in yorba Linda. She said it was Rachael but not sure if that's the truth.. When you work for the public and a customer has a issue, it's common knowledge to state your name. I was sent here on a mission because someone was craving some gold medal ribbon. It was the first time I had been in a BR in many years and holy crap this place has gotten expensive. Late Friday night and one person working- not the end of the world but the service was pretty slow. She wasn't, but serving people just takes time. They need to staff better. My biggest issue was the deal they were running on buying two prepackaged items. The price was advertised as one thing, but kept ringing up as a more expensive item. When I called the employee out on it and asked why it wasn't the advertised price, she said she wasn't sure and didn't know how to change it. Excellent product. Excellent service. The product is spectacular compared to the light almost sugarless flavor of frozen yogurt. I recommend a combo of the Wild and Reckless sherbet and Fudge. It's the ultimate combination of fruity and chocolatey. People are constantly complaining about the price, but it pales in comparison to the price of frozen yogurt. Wow. It's funny I came here for the same reason most of these reviews came here for. I hate leaving bad reviews but the workers that worked tonight literally pissed me off. I felt like dumping my ice cream all over the floor and walking out. They are so damn rude just because they want to leave early or right on the dot. We walked in at 9:39 and they close at 10PM. The first girl sweeping just looks at us annoyed and says hi. Then the next girl comes out and I ask for a new sample they have and says sure in a sarcastic voice. Then I finish my order and she goes is that all and I say no there's another order. And she says with a sarcastic fake smile and goes oh there is huh. As she's finishing she asks the other girl to start ringing us up. Rushing us and throwing her spoons around. She does here you go and I sure as heck didn't say thank you. They don't deserve a job. I worked in retail for 5 years and people used to walk in 5 minutes before we closed the door. They need training on how to respect their costumers and deal with the last minute customers. Normally our experience is good when we go for ice cream. However tonight was subpar. Super hot out & craving a good ice cream. Only 1 employee & she was already cleaning for the night. The girl "Brenda" took my name and number so the manager could call me back... I never got a call. I know mistakes happen but there isn't an excuse for poor customer service and lack of apology. But at this location, it's usually got 5-6 people waiting in line for their ice cream because theirs is only one worker who is really slow and was in the back room half the time. I was 2nd in line the whole time and it took 15 minutes to get what I wanted. If you need to kill time somewhere, come here, you'll waste more than you need to. read more
