You could spend all day in here! If the kids get bored, they can head toward the giant aquarium with a lot of cool and kooky looking fish swimming around. I would like to know the name of a weird fish with a long snout - me and the hubby could not figure out the name of it. It has markings similar to a tiger or a spotted cat. If you know the answer, can you please let me know? This is a huge store with a huge variety of things in it. All of our mega- sports stores in Hawaii closed down so we're at the mercy of mail order, the local Walmarts and the small mom-n-pops stores (the ones still standing). Clean bathrooms. The man at the front was nice and greeted us when we came in and when we left. This is the nicest sporting good store in NWA. During Christmas I came here to do some Christmas shopping for my son in law who is a big time outdoors guy. He wanted a pair of boots and decided to give this store a shot. They had the best selection of boots around. What was nice was I didn't have a salesman hovering around the whole time while I was picking out a pair of boots. The store is well stocked with lots of stuff to look at. The last time we went to a Bass Pro was years ago. I went in this week for an online pick-up. I was very impressed by the friendliness, clean store, and selection of items. They have amazing sales and something for everyone. Some of the highlights for me were the selection of clean candles and wax melts, the jerky station, the fudge station, and the nostalgic candies. We also did the Santa Wonderland. It was an incredible set up with the most authentic Santa I have seen. He was funny, engaging, and kind. i purchased a shotgun online and had it shipped to the store for pickup, the store would not let me complete the transaction due to me putting "apt" instead of "#" on the form. 2 emails to the store manager went unanswered, it appears this store does their own thing instead of answering to corporate who i contacted and they said he would e mail me as it is required, but he never did. i ended up getting one at bass pro in springfield. This is a nice Bass Pro. Not as big as our favorite in Springfield but spacious, fully stocked, with a helpful staff. I love the entrance with the cozy fireplace and sitting area. They have an awesome walk through area with fish tanks and animal displays in the back of the store. We have been to a kids fishing event here which was fun, although smaller than what we expected. I love that you can get on the boats and look around. Great coffee, fudge, and clothing too. Conveniently located near the interstate in Rogers. They also offer a military discount, price match, and have many free family events throughout the year. read more

From the moment you step foot in this store; they are pushing for people to apply for their credit card. Then towards the middle of the store & the back where the fish are, you have employees asking where your from, asking if you go to Branson, the (older lady, w/ blonde hair) approached us & I told her No & then I caught a seriously rude attitude from her; she made a rude comment about my pants; uncalled for; I was cordial & polite; no one wants to be approached in this manner. Pretty annoyed at customer service. I purchased some Sperry shoes in Springfield MO. at the BIG Bass Pro Shop. The laces lasted ONE WEEK. Both shoes busted! We don't have Bass Pro here in Rogers. My husband said no worries just take them to Cabela's . Bass Pro owns them. Well, these were comfy shoes, I didn't expect to return them. The young guy in charge said I needed to call the manufacturer! I am beside myself! If you higher the mentally handicapped please place them in the more suitable area of the store. Just about anything you could think of for the outdoors. Tents and camping supplies, paddle boards, guns and all the accessories, clothing for adults and kids. I like the housewares: lighting, dishes, curtains.. All in a very nice setting. Just inside the doors is a very cozy seating area with fireplace. You can also get licenses in this area (not the car kind), and make returns. Definitely come in when thinking about making a purchase to speak with their knowledgeable staff and to find what is available. A good place to spend an afternoon. The Bass Pro Shop, formerly called Cabela's, located in Rogers, AR is an underrated spot for items and gifts you did not realized you needed or know of to even buy. If you are reading this then you have probably stepped foot inside of a Bass Pro Shop before and this store is well maintained and aisles are easy to navigate through. If you have not been to a Bass Pro Shop, you should check it out and you will find that perfect gift for that someone and maybe grab and item or two for yourself. read more

I've been here multiple times the past month since I was gearing up for a camping trip. I ordered online before even checking out the store. I had my order shipping to the store to avoid shipping fees, plus I had to go in there anyways to look at some other items. Customer service at the pick up counter was good, easy and quick. Their selection of items is great. I mainly checked out the camping, shoes, and clothing sections. They should have everything you are looking for. They have a large fish tank that my daughter loved checking out. I'm not a huge fan of taxidermy animals, but they have a ton in here. Their hunting section is around half of the store. They have a café and food item area, but every time I came it was closed. I don't remember seeing any hours, but I might have missed it. read more

I got a new bow sight for Christmas. Kevin in the bow range was ZERO help trying to get it sighted in. In fact, he broke my brand new sight and we had to return it because he didn't know what he was even doing and tried to act like it wasn't broken. On top of that, he adjusted so much stuff on my actual bow beside my sight that now my bow doesn't even shoot as it did before we took it there. He refused to look at the instructions after he said he didn't know how to work the sight multiple times. DO NOT trust those guys with your bows. read more

If I could write a negative minus five I would do so. A few years back after one of the supposed school shootings Cabelas took advantage of their patrons by raising prices to MSRP on many of their firearms related items. I had been in a few weeks earlier looking at a Benelli M4 shotgun, the price at that time was $1099. After the shooting, a week later I went back to purchase the above shotgun. I noticed the price was $1699??? I asked the the firearms manager why the $600 increase in price on the M4 shotgun? Her response was Benelli had just had a price increase! I scoffed at that response as large companies like Cabelas buy one year in advance at the S.H.O.T show every January. This sets the price thru out the year, Benelli ships monthly, quarterly amounts to Cabelas per their request. While standing at the counter with firearms manager I looked up Benelli's web page. The MSRP on the M4 was $1699.00. While Cabelas did nothing illegal the ethics of this increase was horrific. Greed drives the American business. I was in the firearms industry for 30+ years in California. We had 17 stores in the greater Los Angeles area. During one of California's largest earthquakes we had 1 store severely damaged. No electricity for 4 days. Patrons came to this store looking for protection, flashlights, batteries, lanterns, ammunition etc etc We could have sold lanterns for $200, D batteries for $10 ea, Ammo of any kind for $100 a box !! We had no registers so we gave away what we could and asked the clients to come back and pay for what they were taking, they did :) Cabelas will never see another dime of mine and I continue to spread this story, let greed die forever. read more

I usually have pretty good experiences at cabelas but in the Rogers store tonight that wasn't true. I had my arms full looking for an item I could not find. I wanted around for 20 minutes looking for it and an associate to help me find it at the same time. Finally tracked a guy down who helped me. Standard Cabelas store, offers high quality items for hunting, camping fishing, boating etc.. My kids love coming to this store because of the giant fish tank and life size animals decorating the place. We also enjoy the small cafe and delicious fudge! Shopping at Cabelas is an experience, the service is terrific and they offer huge selection. Price tends to be on the high side but they only offer high quality brands and do have very good clearances. Also so glad that this particular store was open during winter weather..allowed us to get out of the house and get some nice boots for our 2 yr old. read more

Very EXPENSIVE in comparison!!! They think their merchandise is made of gold - but I discovered you can buy fishing poles at lots of stores... Even some gas stations! Anyway, I gave it 2 stars because the fish tank is kind of fun - but I agree with the other post that Bass Pro would have been better!!!! Cabelas is ridiculously expensive on their guns! I can also tell you that the reason the employees are less than friendly is probably due to how they treat their staff members... I have family that used to work in upper management for them in the Chicago area and let's just say that oppressed and substandard is being nice. Typically they don't have 'permanent' managers at their store locations because hiring temporary managers is much cheaper. read more

the receipt says that i changed my mind for reason of refund but definitely got a refund because the staff (firearm staff) was extremely rude, unhelpful, and condescending. staff encouraged me to get a refund while my background check was delayed. after explaining to manager "dan" and other employees how i was dissatisfied with the level of customer service and unfriendliness, there was no "i'm sorry for your experience" or any kind of change in attitude. i was very disappointed in the customer service so much that i purchased the same fire arm at a gun store down the road and they were grateful for my business. i will not recommend bass pro/ cabelas at the rogers location after these encounters. i do hope this review reflects the poor quality customer service that i've received. read more
