This place sucks! I called three times to find out about ammo. A woman finally answered when I dialed zero and passed me on. I tried EVERY DEPARTMENT extension and no one would pick up. What an amazing store! You can find anything you need, fishing, hunting, motor sports, clothing. Their giant aquarium is awesome! Could stand there for hours watching the gigantic fish! This is the second trip I have made to basspro in hooksett NH, the first time was my 30th birthday and my fiance bought me a new shotgun, the service and experience was terrible. Took 2 hours for the older gentleman to process me but would hardly ever speak to me, every time I went to walk away to look at ammo he would yell and say I needed to stay put...... This is now my 2nd trip here for my 32nd birthday and I decided to purchase a crossbow and couple other items. I walk up to the archery department with only one guy working (Eric, started in November of 2024) and already helping two people, I patiently wait about 5 minutes and he now asks if I need help after the other two have walked away. I tell him I'm interested in two different types of crossbows, he helped me out and explained everything he could to his knowledge, even told me about some slightly cheaper models instead of trying to be the typical salesman and sell the most expensive thing. I ended up trying out one of them and made a purchase! All of this within 20 minutes of him approaching me! I did buy the more expensive one because it was my choice, he waxed the strings and lubed the rail for me, helped me pick out a very nice Budget friendly bag for said crossbow and bolts. Overall 5 star experience this trip around so happy! The guy definitely deserves a raise!! even went over to the gun department to see new faces and all of those gentlemen were very very friendly. Absolutely frustrated with Bass Pro Shop's STORE policies on purchasing firearms, and further, wasting my time. Legal NH resident with all ppwk in order to purchase firearms as ive done multiple OTHER places. Own a number of them and shoot for sport/fun. Due to huge lines and limited counter help (VERY kind counter help up to point of delivery) i left the store where the gun was *in stock* and purchased it on their website. I walked back in, waited my turn for help and asked to fill out my ppwk and take delivery, the gentleman looked up the order and said it 'wouldn't be ready for pickup until the next day'. Fine. Went home and received an email the next day titled 'your firearm is ready for pickup'. Returned to the store and filled out the necessary ppwk on their computer, provided my 2 forms of id and was told they do it online because they can get an answer within about 4-5 minutes. After filling out the ppwk was told it will be 2-4 hours. Checked the next morning and still not complete. Finally, around 2pm the third day i received a call ppwk was back and I'm all set to pick up. Returned to the store a 4th time, in 3 days. All ppwk complete with my 2 forms of id. Check, check, third check guy says 'sorry, because your driver license shows your last address, not your current, we cannot let you have the firearm'. **I'll note here that upon changing my address, the town advised me the state no longer issues new licenses for simple change of address, only upon renewal, which im not due for yet. This is after I'd accepted paying $70 more for the firearm because it's more rare, and felt that ordering in store would be better than online. Lesson learned. SO.. if you're in the market for a firearm, i would STRONGLY advise going to the FAR better gun shop in Hooksett where i recently bought most of my other guns. I'll be avoiding spending money at Bass Pro Shops in any way I can out of sheer frustration in time wasted. Bass Pro Shops has stolen my reward points of $$16.00. I know it's not much but they took the money anyway. I tried to have the reward points converted to a gift card and they put me into a Causality Loop going over and over again. It always brought me back to the main Phone Tree and I had to start all over again, and again. So, I told them to just cancel the credit card account. They said I would loose the $$16.00 if I did that. I told them their voice tree kept going around in circles and circles and they said they were sorry but that was the only way I would get the $16.00. I told them I've had enough and wanted out of the Causality Loop and to cancel the Bass Pro Shops Mastercard. I will not be buying anything at Bass Pro Shops on credit again. Bass Pro Shops is now open in Hooksett inside the former Lowes on Route 3A, just off I-93 Exit 10. My coworkers who are avid outdoorsmen and enjoy hunting, have been waiting with great anticipation for the first Bass Pro Shops store to open in New Hampshire. Bass Pro Shops is similar to Cabela's (closest store in Scarborough, ME) which features a massive selection of merchandise for outdoor enthusiasts and sportsmen including outdoor gear, apparel, footwear, camping, fishing, hunting (a new choice for guns & ammo in Hooksett!), archery center (with indoor range), marine, boating, home goods, toys, snacks (beef jerky!!), candy, spices, food, gifts, knick-knacks, Duck Dynasty stuff, and more. The store is nicely decorated with painted murals of outdoor scenes, plenty of game & birds display high throughout the store, and a big fish tank in the back of the store. This outdoor superstore officially opened to the public on Wed Feb 19, 2014 at 6PM during the Evening For Conservation (50 cents of each dollar spent went to conservation groups). I arrived here around 4:15 PM after driving through very messy roads and waited in line to get inside the store. A funny clown (from Southern Illinois) and Max The Lion (mascot for the Manchester Monarchs) entertained the line outside. Inside the store, the opening ceremony and ribbon cutting was held with celebrities, dignitaries, and plenty of employees on hand welcoming customers into the store (clapping & cheering!). The place was really busy and traffic to get to the store was backed up onto I-93. 100 free t-shirts were thrown randomly into the large crowds of people during the opening ceremony. During opening night, there was a live band playing, Bass Pro Shops race cars on display, several booths with various outdoors groups, and a dedicated celebrity autograph area featuring Bob Sweeney (Boston Bruins), Trot Nixon (Boston Red Sox), Samantha Russo (Miss NH 2013), Bob Foulkrod, Rob Keck, Gene Ellison, Paul Hebert (Wicked Tuna), Timmy Horton, and Jimmy Houston. The line for the autographs went smoothly (store staff and Hooksett Police on hand) and I was able to meet all of the celebrities mentioned. Also, I've been to the Bass Pro Shops location in Foxborough, MA, which dwarfs the Hooksett location in size. The Foxborough, MA location has multi floors of shopping including a giant boat center on the bottom floor, big waterfall, shooting range, snack bar, and restaurant, features not available in Hooksett. Overall, Bass Pro Shops in Hooksett is very nice store to check out for outdoor related merchandise and gear, ALL SALES TAX FREE!! Don't forget to bring the kids too! read more

I stopped here randomly yesterday and I can honestly say that it was my first time going to Bass Pro Shops. Overall, I was very impressed. They carry hunting, fishing, camping, and other outdoor gear. I went specifically to look at fishing gear and I was blown away. They have so much fishing stuff that I actually had to ask where something was because I honestly couldn't find it myself. Some of the prices are higher than you'd expect, but you're really paying for the amazing selection and experience. The selection is unparalleled. I've been fishing for years and definitely saw stuff I'd never seen before. The staff seem to really know what they're talking about and were very friendly. One of the nicest things that they offer (for an angler) is that they will spoil your reel if you buy it there. It's not like it's hard to do yourself, but it is a nice/free service that they offer. read more

***ANNOUNCEMENT*** I'm not the outdoors guy, my friends are!! I've never been in this store. I was legit amazed!!! When I walked in, there were animals that had been stuffed, a huge fireplace, etc. I felt like John Candy/ Dan Aykroyd in "The Great Outdoors" it felt like a lodge. I failed to capture what I saw. We went to take my friend's child for pics with Santa. The was no wait. I've heard the wait could be hours. The child walked in, sat on Santa's lap and took the photo. In a moment of surprise, my friends grabbed me and we all took a "family photo" with Santa. I'm sure their friends are gonna be shocked when the Christmas card arrives!! They have everything you can think of, for the outdoors. Fishing things, grills, smokers, they even have candles and clothing. There's a huge fish tank in the rear of the store. I'm guessing the price points are on par with other places like this. They were having a holiday sale also. I wanna go back for the pork skins, candles, and anything else I can fit into my apartment in the city. read more

I went in end of February to order a boat cover. I had to order it by VIN#. They claimed it didn't come in the color I wanted (blue) so I had to order tan. Four and a half months later it finally comes in but the cover ordered was for a bass buggy and not a party barge as needed, only to find out that they had 20 of the right one in stock the whole time in blue as originally requested!! I was forced to wait 4 1/2 months when I could have gotten it in early March. Stay away....they have no idea what they are doing!! On another note, I brought my UTV in for repair which took TWO MONTHS!! They got in there and cut some wires without my knowledge & ended up killing my brand new battery. Went in today to pick up some winter boots. My first time at this store. I asked the guy who worked on the shoe floor for a pair in my size to try. He wasn't friendly but wasn't unfriendly either so ok fine... I didn't love the pair I tried on so I asked for a different product in my size, and his response was a low-key-sassy "ANOTHER ONE?". Mind you, this is after after I waited so many minutes for him to come back around that I was literally getting ready to just go to another store when I finally spotted him and chased him down (I had a pretty desperate need to buy them today - my only good pair of winter boots finally stopped being waterproof after many years and this is February in New England!!). I get that it's tough to work during the pandemic... maybe they keep a low number of staff in store because of that, but I'm not looking for A+ service - just looking to be NOT treated like I'm some kind of a hassle. What an impressive place! Not being an outdoorsy type, this wasn't the kind of store I would typically shop at, but won't be a total stranger anymore. It's big and open, not claustrophic. Aisles are roomy so you're not constantly bumping into people even when it's busy. Yes, a bit smaller in terms of floor space than Kittery Trading Post, but that place just seems cluttered and overwhelming. This was inviting and well organized. That fireplace in the front entrance is something to behold. Must be glorious when a fire is actually burning. They have furniture, bedding, and a nice variety of home decor items. Certainly didn't expect to find an attractive, non-camo (though they were available), decorative cushion for my family room. Didn't realize they were so dog friendly, especially if your dog is under good control and well mannered. They even have a water bowl station near the back. Pet supply stores, take note! Our trainers from Pet-Agree organized a field trip to practice those manners and social skills in a real world setting with lots of distractions and new people to meet. The staff, and customers, were wonderful about giving us space and not crowding into the dogs (especially my nervous Nellie), until the dogs were sitting politely. Really fun time. so I order items at bass pro I get a text that it's in. I call to confirm. The person on the other line says yes don't worry come in. It's here I go in, the first problem was my drivers license weren't current with new address fine I leave and get my drivers license current I go back and they say oh you didn't get an email you didn't get a text you didn't get anything because it's not here, at which point I open up my phone and I show them the text my bass pro text states it was in needless to say it was not and I believe that the people they were very rude. so I would not recommend this place anybody unless they wanna waste a lot of time going back-and-forth and if you have to takeoff of work to do it, there's more money lost and the people there wow do you wanna talk about very uncourteous that would be them read more

This is one of those business that has 18 workers on the floor just hanging out while one register is open with a line with 30 people in it, half the time they don't even have a register open it's just the service desk. Another issue is they only have gigantic sizes for clothing and will not restock until all of there giant sizes are sold. Good luck finding something smaller than xl in absolutely anything. Another thing is this is the type of store that only Carry's the most expensive version of what you want never having the affordable products they advertise online. The ultimate bureaucratic inanity - store policy is trigger locks on ALL handguns. An overabundance of caution, but acceptable. However they can not or will not remove the triggerlock until the gun is purchased. What educatecgun buyer buys a gun without feeling the trigger mechanism. Had an issue with being able to make a purchase, lead cashier, manager on duty both said when this problem arrives, nothing they can do and have to send customer away. Called customer service, they gave me a number to retail admin and said they could probably answer issue. No call back when called. Was given the managers email, No response to email. Spoke to assistant manager in store, No call back. I did want to shop there, but no one seems to want to make an effort at all for what is a simple issue. The main grudge here, is that everyone is super nice, but no one has ever responded to my question with any kind of answer, unfortunately have to do my shopping else where. I absolutely love this store. It is not only filled with anything and everything I could want, but the interior is beautiful. Everything is well organized and easy to find. They even have a giant fish tank with a nice selection of game fish. I went in the other day to purchase a new sidearm. The selection of firearms was satisfactory and i was able to find a great gun to fit my needs. The staff was very knowledgeable and helped answer all questions I had. The man working in the hunting department was excellent, he spent over an HOUR helping me get the bow ready, and even showed me how to use it. Went in tonight to purchase my first bow. I've been a firearm guy/hunter and want to extend my hunting capabilities. Glen in the archery department met me as I was browsing and asked if I needed help. I had done some research prior to going in so I asked if they had the bow in stock I was looking for. Glen gave me the run down on the newer model of the same bow and at the same price I decided to go with that. But that's where my bass pro experience just began.. Glen was hands down the best retail employee I've ever encountered. He walked me through every single inch of the bow and what everything does and the adjustments we can make. He then fitted me for the bow and taught me the ins and outs of archery better than I could of ever imagined. He took his time and explained proper stance, proper draw, proper trigger release... literally everything I needed to know. Then we stepped into the range. Glen proceeded to have me shoot 3 arrows and got an idea of what the peep sight was doing. He made some adjustments and had me shoot 3 more. He proceeded to walk me through, step by step having me shoot till I was shooting arrows into other arrows. I left the store with a serious lesson, 2 hours of free knowledge and heck, even a new friend. I will be going back to see glen for ALL of my archery and firearm needs from this point forward. Don't bother shopping here if you are female. A friend of mine and I went shopping here tonight. We waited over 10 minutes for someone to help us in the shoe department. When noone came around so we searched someone out. A young man heavier set dirty blond hair with glasses was asked by my friend to come help us. He came over, when I asked him for what I needed he huffed and said ok. Clearly annoyed that we were asking for his assistance. Ten minutes later he comes back, walks right next to us to the computer and starts looking up waiters on the computer. Completely ignored us. Goes out back then comes back to the computer that is next to us. Again completely ignores us. He leaves to go out back again. Comes back a 3rd time. When I spoke to him to ask what was going on he just shrugs his shoulder. A few minutes later we walk by the shoe department with our husband's and a dark haired gentlemen. The one who was to busy to help us before and asked the blond kid to help us asks my HUSBAND if he can help him. Now my husband was behind me with my friends husband. My friend and I had just walked passed him and he didnt say anything to us. When my Husband pointed to me. I explained to the gentlemen what had just happened. He said the other associate must have forgotten. He apologized but it was extremely condescending and completely insensere.
