    Big Bass Pro Shops
    Jon W.

We were driving through this area and of course when we saw a Bass Pro Shops store we had to stop and spend some time here. We love this place. The closest one to us when we're home is in Rocklin, so whenever we come upon a BPS we gotta go in and walk around, and maybe pick up a couple things. My kids love this place, there's so much to look at, it's like going to the Great outdoors but you're indoors so there's no complaining from the kids, a win-win. They especially like the giant aquarium in the middle of the store. There's usually some pretty kois, but also some wilder fish. I think we saw a shark or sturgeon of some kind this time. All the "stuffed animals" taxidermied creatures are super cool. I enjoy seeing them as do my kids. I get a kick out of seeing my wife freak out and walk as far away as possible from those animals because they scare her, haha. My kids get a kick out of seeing their mom all scared too, usually that woman isn't even scared of spiders or cockroaches, and kills them by hand with a paper towel, but I digress. There's so many cool areas all over the store, but my favorite are the camping and hunting sections. They have a fantastic selection of knives and of course, nice guns too. They have everything you can think of for camping the wilderness way or if you prefer to bring civilization with you, they've got all kinds of glamping supplies too, that's what my wife says it's called. Glamorous camping. My kids really like the archery section and the range in house is cool too. Too bad it wasn't open the day we stopped by this time. Finally, there's everyday stuff like tons of sports and camping clothes, insulated bottles and coffee mugs, igloos, thermoses, hiking and regular shoes for trails and serious hikes, all kinds of backpacks, travel bags, some luggage, and camp chairs that really can be used for any outdoors activities from the local park to a real camping trip. There's just so much cool things here and you can walk around till you are exhausted and then you can climb into a tent and take a break. My kids may or may not have done that. Good times. As for value, there's things that are reasonably priced and some items are definitely over priced, but you get good personalized customer service here (but you do have to seek it out) vs online where you're just on your own, plus here you get a whole experience shopping so it's worth the extra to get good service. Till we drive past another BPS...

I've never been in one and wanted to explore. This place is huge! The selection is very impressive. Please come and create your own adventure.

Love going to Bass Pro Shop! The selection on various outdoor items is amazing. I'm super impressed with the types of rods available. The kids were mostly impressed with the aquarium, shooting range, and archery. The staff was very helpful especially with the archery. Thank you Ron. Prices here are competitive but overall worth it. We will be stopping by on our trips to San Francesco.

I usually go there when I am in the area as something to do that's free (although it's hard to leave without goodies). The staff is always super nice and helpful. I can't speak to their inventory but I usually find what I'm looking for. You find good deals displayed in bins. It's like a free aquarium and animal (taxidermy) exhibit, it is a fun place to go and explore.

I loved the ambiance in this bass pro shop! It was my first time in these sorts of shops but they had such a variety of sports and hobbies! It was very accessible as well! They had two glass elevators that were very beautiful so you don't have to go through the stairs but there are also many options for stairs around the store!

Bass Pro shop is a really nice store really wish we had one in San Francisco because there are so many outdoor and camping gear here. The hat is really nice and the merchandise, I really like how the store looks with all the animals and everything it's pretty crazy how the store looks really nice. The value of the items were about 36 bucks after tax which was really good for a shirt and some hats. Service here is very friendly and everyone who I asked would help me.

The 1st time I walked into a Bass Pro Shop, it took my breath away. This shop is no exception. Its grand atmosphere makes it a fun place to shop for all types of sporting gear. The kids love the waterfall and the fish. This shop has a trout pond too which has huge fish which you can look upon (reminds me of a koi pond). There's lots to shop around and some great prices too. A welcome diversion to see if you're staying at Great Wolf Lodge. You can walk behind the waterfall and it's a magnificent experience. Highly recommend!

These sales people are way too aggressive I avoid eye contact at all costs

So if I have to pay $1.13 more for a lure here, I'd prefer to do so. What you will get here? VERY knowledgeable service, from competent guys, a majority of whom all fish. Several of the guys here fish the same bodies of water I fish & they gave me some excellent tips. Selection is wide. Service is above the bar. For example; I purchased a spinning reel here. For injured at work, couldn't use it for almost 2yrs. Came here 2yrs later & asked them to help me figure out how to switch it from right hand to left handed reeling. NO PROBLEM. The fella right away said "I see what the issue was" and in less than 2min buddy had this reel set up. It was a user error issue & I overlooked one basic piece. Two years after a purchase & these guys are there to help me figure it out. We buy tackle here regularly & hope to see them remain open. We bypass bass pro most of the time to come here. lol. Great locally owned tackle shop.

A female employee was aggressively slamming doors, throwing a ladder onto the floor, and repeatedly giving us dirty looks. It felt intentional and incredibly disrespectful. We are all brown, and it was impossible not to notice that white customers were being treated normally while we were ignored. I was waiting at the counter to purchase ammunition, and despite clearly being ready to buy, no one acknowledged me or offered help. It felt like we simply didn't matter. The combination of rude behavior, lack of customer service, and the clear feeling of racial discrimination made this a terrible experience. No one should feel profiled or unwelcome while trying to shop. I will not be returning, and I strongly recommend management address this behavior immediately. This happened on 1/26/26 around 2:00pm
