Then, AFTER he finished installing the new disposal, he told me I needed a new air gap (which was clearly obvious even to me before he came so he must have seen it then), but only LATER told me that needed replacing, $75, and he had to go to Home Depot to buy a new one. It took him almost 3 hours from start to finish. Cost was $760. Now, 1 week later, I woke up at 1 a.m. and found dirty water on my kitchen floor in front of the garbage disposal cabinets. I opened the cabinets and found my large plastic container that held supplies was FILLED WITH the DIRTY WATER to the RIM! I called SoCalPlumbing at 2am hoping they could send someone out to fix on an emergency. Joseph did call back, seemed undisturbed, no concern at all, and said they will try and have someone out 9a-10a, that it was a "quick fix". I already had problems with the extended time the installation took over what I was told in getting this installed, so was already very stressed, especially since I had to at least clean it up the outside floor myself, and am worried about the wood/pressboard base insidegetting ruined also.

They brought me out to look at the camera they put up the pipe to showed me how much it was clogged and told me it was going to cost $3800 to fix it. Long story short Graham plumbing came out and showed me what was on his camera and there was no debris in the pipes at all like the other company showed me. What ever they showed me wasn't my pipe. The Graham tec probably could have told me the same thing or something close to that to make money but he was so honest with me and said I didn't need to get that done at all. The technician explained everything to me so I could really understand what needed to be done. He was so professional and thorough and I will never use another plumbing company! Our plumbing bills typically run between $20k and $30k per year. we started using Rob and Austin in Nov 2025 with seriously mixed results, ranging from on-time and fair, to complete failure to return calls and/or show up. most recently they charged us $425 to replace a new valve and a couple 3/4" nipples that feed a water heater. when asked why it was my fault that they did not have a standard 3/4" brass ball value on the truck, rather than a constructive dialog the conversation decivilized, ending with him accusing our on-site contractor of 20 year of lying. truly unbelievable. nobody needs that in their life. there are simply too many options to put up with folks that have a chip on their shoulder, and everything is somebody else's fault... nothing to see here. move on.

They went above and beyond to clean out my plugged up deck drainage system and the entire rest of that part of the yard drain system, all the way to the street. There were so many roots but they got them all out, even when it meant getting down and pulling out roots by brute strength.
