Bastion checked our house for mold before we purchased it. We were pleased with the service as well as the outcome.

They were super responsive & efficient: they were able to schedule someone to come by one day after I called, and we got results the next business day. I had also asked about doing more lead testing for the rest of our home out of an abundance of precaution, since we have two little kids at home. I really appreciated that Robert gave me fair & thoughtful advice vs pushing me to test as much as possible (which would be more beneficial to TITAN). Highly recommend them!

Stay away from this company…read more They secretly worked with my public adjuster behind my back and billed my insurance policy an outrageous $5,000 for an asbestos test -- all without my knowledge, authorization, or a signed contract. They even went directly to my insurance adjuster to request payment, bypassing me entirely. To make matters worse, their so-called $5,000 report is only valid for 60 days. If you don't complete the abatement work within that time, they charge you again -- even though all they do is reprint the same report with a new date. No new testing. No new work. Just another charge. When I filed a small claims case against them, they refused to accept the delivery of the court documents by not opening the door for the serving man, dodging service attempts by not answering the door. It was clear they were trying to avoid accountability. I had to find alternative ways to serve them because they simply would not cooperate. Attached is the invoice they charged against my insurance policy. I have also reported them to the California Department of Insurance and is pursuing them through small claims court. I will update this review with the outcome once the case is resolved. If you value transparency and honest business practices, please stay away from this company. Learn from my experience. Excellent experience from start to finish…read more We contacted Air Quality Testers during a very stressful time after an unscrupulous contractor caused a leak into a wall cavity, and we were concerned about mold. Everyone was patient in answering my many questions and scheduled our moisture and mold inspection promptly. Our inspector, Elizabeth, arrived exactly on time, immediately put us at ease, explained everything clearly, and investigated and documented the situation with exceptional attention to detail. Because we were especially worried about our child with asthma being exposed to mold, she even called us the next day with the preliminary results before the full written report was ready. The final report was clear, comprehensive, well documented, and easy to understand. After the remediation was completed, Elizabeth returned for the post-remediation sampling and was once again thoughtful, meticulous, and a pleasure to work with. Of the many contractors, investigators, and inspectors we've dealt with in the aftermath of the leak, Air Quality Testers stood out for their professionalism, responsiveness, and genuine kindness. I would highly recommend them.

Jacob was professional, knowledgeable, and thorough throughout the entire process. He took the time to explain what he was testing, answered all of our questions, and provided helpful information and advice on what we could do to improve and maintain our indoor air quality. I would definitely recommend Air Quality Testers to anyone looking for professional and reliable environmental or indoor air quality testing. Great service from start to finish!

I hired Synergy for work in my home, and the experience was extremely disappointing and costly…read more The work was never completed properly and required multiple return visits because of incomplete and defective workmanship. After removing the acoustic ceiling in my living room, the crew left the ceiling exposed with visible water damage and walked away. I ultimately hired someone else to finish the work because I did not want the crew returning again. During the process, my home sustained additional damage, including a kitchen cabinet being ripped out and left in my driveway, damage to my kitchen floor, electrical wiring being cut (which required a licensed electrician), and custom drapes and blinds being torn down and balled up even though they should not have been removed. An oak cabinet was also disassembled on top of my washer, rendering it unusable. These issues were documented on site by their own representative, who expressed dissatisfaction with the quality of the work. Despite causing documented damage, the company refused to reimburse for my custom drapes, sheers, and valences for seven windows. They rejected estimates--first claiming it was fraud--without providing any alternative valuation. To this day, my window treatments have not been replaced. To make matters worse, the company attempted to bill me for a disputed balance while threatening a lien, even though the damage caused far exceeded the amount they claimed I owed. This experience resulted in significant stress, additional out-of-pocket expenses, and unresolved damage to my home. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company to anyone looking for professional, careful, and accountable work.

We were concerned about it, worried about any longterm effects it may create to our home and our health, and so decided to look for a company to remove the white substance build up, treat the the whole area, and apply protective barrier to prevent the moisture. After getting an estimate from another company, we decided to go with Bordi Restoration. The work included: scraping the top soil, spray a disinfectant onto the soil, used a HEPA air scrubber, and then fitted a crawlspace moisture barrier. They just completed the work today. The work was estimated for three days, but they finished in two days instead. Everything was done nicely, with the moisture barrier fitted neatly, really clean install. The workers were friendly and respectful of our property. Communication with Craig (owner) was easy, as he responded quickly to our text messages, explained things very well, his responses being detailed, but also easy to understand. It was also easy to communicate with Donovan, the staff member who handled the scheduling and billing, as he was very easy to work with, and very helpful. The value was very good, as the estimated cost was cheaper than the other company, and the work they did came out very nicely. Working with this company was easy and smooth, and we would recommend them for sure. Thank you Bordi Restoration for the great work on our home, and also for the awesome service! Very happy with tour work! Much appreciated!!

Craig had came out to take a look at our closet…read morewhich developed surface mold due to moisture and lack of air circulation in the corner and helped us understand if there's other sources of water/moisture/leaks we need to be worried of. We got a quote which was very competitive and reasonable and moved forward to setting a date for the crew to clean and do a deeper assessment. We had accidentally forgotten that we agreed for the work to start on a Thurs instead of Friday, and the office called right away to clarify and sent the team out very quickly after we sent them away. The cleaning crew themselves were great! Shu, the forewoman, was on top of it, communicated the problem and solution in a very straightforward and simple manner. Was very thorough with pictures, instructions, and her assessment. Craig identified that we may need a moisture barrier in the crawlspace to really help decrease the amount of moisture impacting the walls during the rainy season. Another quote for the closet and bathroom clean-up was sent to us, which had not changed in terms of pricing. We knew that the 2nd project would require a new quote later. After 3 days of drying, we contacted Craig to coordinate time for pick up of the equipment. We also received the finalized invoice- the cost ended up being nearly 2x the original quote, which caught us off-guard. Craig explained that the labor hours had to increased from an estimated of 4 hrs to 12 hrs and covered for travel (though we only live about 2.5 mi away from his listed office) and equipment loading time, which surprised us as it was never mentioned or called out. There was already a $100 service/trip charge, so for additional hrs counted for travel felt unreasonable. The crew was on-site for 5 hours max. He did give us a discount which was appreciated, but we felt that the quotes and pricing model were not transparent. This really disappointed us, especially given the quality of service and how easy it was to work with Craig initially. We had a 2nd project to encapsulate the crawlspace which we went with another company whose pricing ended up exactly as estimated, despite taking a 1.5 days more than anticipated.
