First things first , their brunch menu is outstanding and I love how they're a from scratch kitchen ! Hint: if you go for brunch hour def go on the earlier side of brunch hour, we had a 11:15 and by noon it was filling up rather quickly! We had two servers and both were excellent as they checked in on us constantly to make sure we were feeling good! Batch has the best chicken and waffles ever - so flavorful! It was enough for a full lunch the next day. We enjoyed our seats on the patio. It's something about sitting outside when you're in the area. We were fortunate to find parking on the street about 8 steps from where we ate. Our server had a beautiful personality. First of all, it's a busy downtown area because it's the Boat Show, but we came around 3:30 pm & there was no crowd to wait. The hostess was super friendly and considerate of the space we needed with a little one. Tessa was a great server, and was very helpful in deciding what to eat and drink. We started with the Tips and some Drop Biscuits. They were devoured! Hubby ordered the Goose Island Bourbon County Brand Stout, and I tried the Bootlegger drink... great recommendations! I read all the reviews of the chicken & waffles, so I had to try it. But I'm going for the Shrimp Po' Boy next time. We also had a brisket sandwich, the Nashville sliders, a Pot Pie, & a kids waffle. Sweet Lordy I ended up loving this place more than I thought I would when we first walked it. First off: yes it's kind of a sports bar but the food and drinks are top notch. The chicken and waffles are a must - I got it Nashville Hot, and while it was tender and tasty it wasn't that hot. That didn't matter as much to me as the overall taste, however if you're looking for real heat you may be disappointed. Me being me, I also ordered a few drinks: New Fashioned (like an old fashioned but aged bourbon and brandied-cherries), Pecan-infused whiskey (so good I bought a bottle of it), and a spiced rum punch. I would recommend all of them. My wife got the steakhouse salad but with salmon and raved about the horseradish dressing. First time visit. We had reservations at 6pm. Not many in the restaurant but within 30min, it quickly filled up. Nicely decorated in a trendy style. Seating was indoor and outdoor. The noise level is very high inside. We were basically yelling at each other. If you want to have any type of conversation, I would suggest eating outside. We started out with the drop biscuits served with honey, maple butter & jam. We also had the burnt ends. Both were delicous! Next we followed up with the chicken and waffles. Really enjoyed my first visit to Batch. We met some friends for brunch on Sunday. The place was happening, good crowd, lively, a little loud but that's part of the energy. The food was well presented and quite tasty. The flavors are interesting and sometimes surprising. This made the meal for me, one to remember. We started with the cinnamon rolls and I'm glad we did. They were served in a small cast iron pan and so gooey wonderful with the molasses and whiskey blending for a very rich flavor. Next we're biscuits and gravy and the pulled pork bacon tots. Really good stuff, the flavors were great and serving size was where I was hoping it would be. The hot sauce hollandaise was just spicy enough to be "hot" without being overdone. We also had a side of the pecan-whiskey candied bacon. It was three strips of thick cut bacon and it was a treat. I've made candied bacon before and everyone loved it but this stuff was next level. I'm going to change my personal recipe going forward. The only thing that was not excellent was the wait staff. And don't get me wrong, it was not bad, they were simply working hard and it took a bit of time to catch them. But from order to first plates it was quick and efficient. So I've been wanting to try Batch for sometime and was planning on going to the location in Ft. Lauderdale. However I had an event in West Palm today to celebrate my Birthday and based on the 1,000+ reviews figured I'd try the WPB location for a late lunch. Big mistake. After searching for parking we arrived to find the reception area vacant. We stood there for 3 minutes before a young lady came out from the back. No smile, no greeting just said 2 people. We said yes, she said you can sit at any clean table. We sat down she dropped 2 menus and disappeared in the back . There was one other table inside and one table outside occupied. After 10 minutes no one came out from the back so we left. From other reviews it seems like this may not be unusual. Wasted my time and money on parking. Guess I'll try the Ft. Brunch!! Bottomless mimosas sangrias and Bellinis for $21 who wouldn't pick this for brunch! Lol I ordered the Nashville chicken sliders. It is 3 pretty big sliders with a side of fries. The fries were good. I asked for them to be loaded which was a little too much but still good. The chicken was not hot it was tasty but they were like chicken tenders. It was honestly a very hefty meal. I couldn't eat more than one slider. My boyfriend ordered the shrimp and grits. The shrimp was very well seasoned. He loved it. And the grits were also good. Love this location even though they're always busy they have availability for sitting without you having to make reservations which is a plus. This specific time we got a server by the name of Taylor. She was so funny, relatable and very precise with she our groups orders as well as. I love the fact that she was able to adjust to everyone's individual needs in our small group. She always made really good recommendations as far as food options and best sellers for the restaurant. Food came out fairly quickly, and it was all up to par with the standards of the reviews I saw previously about this location. Food is a little expensive here so alcoholic drinks so be ready to dig deep in your pockets lol. We went during happy hour and sat outside since we had a toddler with us and it was quite noisy inside. I rained while we were outside but the umbrellas they have are huge and it kept us dry. Unfortunately the waiter seemed to have had a bit of an attitude at the beginning of our sit down but it got better with time. It wouldn't be a place I have on my list as a must go to again. Stopped by here for happy hour! It was a fun spot with a great menu. For happy hour all drinks under $13 (which is most of the menu) is half off. We got the pecan whisky sour and the bootlegger. The bootlegger was one of the most refreshing and tasty drinks I've had in a while. Pineapple and jalapeño infused moonshine with guava, nicely balanced and not overpoweringly spicy. For food we got the ribs, pulled pork egg rolls and a few oysters off the happy hour menu. All were pretty tasty. We also got the chicken and waffles. The Bootlegger drink was tasty and the food was very good. I had avocado toast that was garnished with "farmer's cheese" (a queso fresco type cheese), roasted corn, pumpkin seeds, and radish slices. We also got the impossible frittata, and an order of buttermilk drop biscuits. All food was done well, and was presented nicely on wood boards. However, I'm not a big fan of the boards. Food was falling off as I tried to cut up the toast, and it was a little narrow to maneuver the food at first. First, I love the decor. It's simple but really gives that clean, country, modern feel with wood, greenery and southern charm. The menu had a variety of foods to choose from. I really wanted the crab cake benedict but I asked and found out it was served on a fried green tomato as opposed to a biscuit or English muffin so I decided to try the Brisket & Short Rib Burger with smoked white cheddar instead. The fries were amazing! Perfectly seasoned and fried. The burger itself...I wanted to love it. It was slightly overcooked and while the flavor on the initial bite was good, there wasn't a ton of flavor inside. You can tell they seasoned the outside well and got that good crust on the outside that I love but the burger was a little thicker so it needed some seasoning inside too. Nonetheless, it was okay. What I loved the most were the biscuits! They came out piping hot, good color on the outside, nice and soft on the inside and buttery flavor. The presentation was so cute. They came with chili-thyme honey, fig and raspberry jam and bourbon-maple butter all in individual mini jars/bowls. The honey was good but I was missing the kick from the chili. It's located on the downtown strip so there are plenty of bars to visit and people watching to do while waiting. The food was very good. I ordered the 6 oz steak cooked medium rare. It was cooked to perfection, so tender & juicy. Didn't even need steak sauce. The potatoes and asparagus were pretty good. We also had the Chicken N Waffles with hot chicken. The chicken was AMAZING! It was spicy, seasoned so well and just perfect! The waffle was your standard waffle, but it was hitting with the spicy chicken! The Mac & cheese with fried chicken was just average. I'm not big on writing reviews and especially bad reviews. I typically spend extra time reviewing a restaurant for an over-the-top experience versus a bad or mediocre experience. However, I feel obligated to let others know about my repeated experiences with Batch because I cannot be the only one having this problem. First, let me say that all of my experiences are due to food delivery. I have been to the restaurant to eat only a few times, and the service and the food have always been good. In fact, I have a soft spot for their cinnamon rolls made in an iron skillet. Now that I've been fair and said something nice about Batch, I'll get to the problems I've experienced with their delivery. I said about a year ago that I would never order from Batch again due to the ongoing issues to that point. It had been 8-10 months since I had last ordered, so I figured that I'd give them another shot. It did not work out... at all. The last order I made involved, among a few other items, a burger and a chicken sandwich. I can't recall the name of the burger or sandwich because this review is being written about a month after I ordered the food due to their reviews being shut down for what they claimed were "political issues" on their review page. I had to laugh and wonder if they shut it down due to an overwhelming amount of negative feedback at that time, but that's probably just an assumption (or is it?). The burger arrived with no toppings that were supposed to be on the side. The chicken sandwich arrived with... get this... no chicken. They did manage to include the toppings for the chicken sandwich, though. Props for that because I ended up using the toppings for the burger. If this were to have happened once, I'm a pretty understanding person. I'm human, and I make mistakes, too; I'm not always perfect. The issue here, though, is that I quit ordering from them almost a year ago because these mistakes are commonplace. Out of 7 orders I've made with them, 4 have been incorrect, and I want to be clear that when I say "incorrect," it's not like they forgot ketchup or the fries were cold. Every single time, it has been an issue where a significant item(s) has/have been left out. One time, it was a dessert, while another time, I ordered 2 burgers and one of the burgers was incorrect (I ordered a different burger). What is even more frustrating is the apathetic response that I received the last two times I reached out by calling them to let them know that they, yet again, forgot items that I ordered. The response both times was, "If you call Uber Eats they will credit you for the items." Here's the thing: I don't give a s*** about being credited the money. I have plenty of money, or I wouldn't be ordering Uber Eats when the restaurant is less than 2 blocks away. I order the food because I'M HUNGRY and I want the food delivered so that I don't have to move my lazy a** off of the couch. I will admit that a GM or someone more important (and less apathetic) did reach out to me a couple of days later to let me know that they wanted me to come in for a meal and they would pay for it due to what happened. However, I politely declined because I don't prefer to sit in a busy restaurant with loud music and try to enjoy a meal. That's why I order delivery most of the time. Again, their food is certainly not bad, and I've not had a bad experience IN the restaurant. Just know that if you order delivery, it's likely that you are not going to get everything you ordered based on my experience. I won't order from them ever again. When I'm hungry, I want all of my food to arrive so that I can enjoy it without being irritated that something didn't show up, and I then have to spend time convincing Uber Eats that this restaurant has again screwed up my order. read more

Husband had the blackened swordfish with jasmine rice. He said the fish was bland. I had the short ribs with mashed potatoes. The potatoes were great, but the short rib tasted like pot roast. Friends and I used to love this place. Good food and a great happy hour. They recently changed their menu removing some of the better and more unique things and raised their prices on other things like their drinks making nearly all of them fall outside the happy hour special. The Nashville hot chicken was slightly spiced but tasted nothing like Nashville hot. Service was fairly slow and they never seem to be staffed appropriately for how busy they are. Bartenders covering tables who pay more attention to those at the bar than those at tables left us with empty glasses and missing/incorrect food. No one came to check on us after part of the food was delivered and we had to ask for our check. This used to be such a great place for great drinks, decent food and a good value. Haven't been back since and not likely to return unless the happy hour is restored. Too many other good places to go to. read more
