I love, love, love the lychee martinis -- they're perfectly balanced and so refreshing. Mateo and Nico are the best bartenders -- super friendly, attentive, and always make the experience fun. They serve delicious Peruvian corn at the bar, and the selection of happy hour apps and drinks is outstanding. The atmosphere is great -- it's a lively, fun spot where you can easily meet and chat with other people. We've also taken advantage of their half-price steak menu on Sundays a couple of times already, and it's been excellent every time. We can't wait to get back there soon. Highly recommend! read more

Between the service being a disaster and the food being inedible and overpriced, I do not recommend this spot. We had two servers, which actually had the opposite effect of what you would expect - neither was around the few times we needed anything. We had to wait to flag anyone down, multiple times, despite supposedly having two servers at our table. The cauliflower was served so hot it was honestly dangerous. The space is dim and it was hard to see just how much steam was coming out of it. This dish should not have been brought out at this temperature and my friend badly burned her mouth taking a bite. Once it did cool down, we all tried it and it tasted so bland it honestly wasn't even worth eating. It tasted like standard steamed cauliflower and I don't remember what it supposedly came seasoned with, but none of it had flavor. We also got the truffle corn side dish and onion rings. The corn was small bud edible. The onion rings, however, were not. They were SO hard that I couldn't bit into them and when I tried to use a fork and knife it ended up just making a mess. We ended up barely making a dent in both the cauliflower and onion rings and when they took our plates we were honest that both dishes were basically inedible. We went to Meat Market for the Valentine's Day early dinner and were so excited. I think this was the wrong time to try meat market for the first time. For how excited we were, it didn't feel romantic/have the ambiance we envisioned for something as special as Valentine's Day. The tables were very very very close together where you could hear the conversations in the middle of the dining room next to you and did not have the ability to choose a section with more room even though we made a reservation a month in advance. When seated, we were a little rushed to pick drinks/food right away to get it in. The server didn't go deeply into specials or anything like a normal fine dining experience. We honestly would've gotten more if we weren't rushed right away. The grouper and beef dumplings were amazing. I love how the Caesar salad had a more grilled/torched taste when eating. It added a new flavor and I liked it a lot. I want to try the sushi next time or go during a weekday night when not as many people are there. read more

It was raining heavily that evening so I'm not sure if that had something to do with the quick seating. I really wanted to try their happy hour but the bar was packed and I didn't want to wait for someone to leave so we ate in the dining hall. Our server was Nikolas. He needs a raise!! He gave the best recommendations and everything he suggested we ordered and it was delicious. He was the one that recommended we share the tomahawk and add a 3oz Japanese wagyu. I've never tasted a piece of meat that melted in my mouth before. That was the only way I could describe the exquisiteness of this cut of meat. I'm not a steak person but I thoroughly enjoyed the A5 and tomahawk. Everything was well seasoned and delicious. The Rockefeller oysters were okay. I've had better so I don't think I'd ordered them again unless it's for happy hour. Our drinks were delicious as well. I ordered the passionate love affair and watermelon breeze (not pictured) and my boyfriend ordered "some like it hot" (pictured). It was a cool presentation because it was delivered with the lime on fire. All drinks were on the sweet side but not overly sweet. Also, they give complimentary corn. Great spot for happy hour!! I finally tried the one in Palm Beach last week after my colleague raved about the food he had for dinner. I had their signature Tito's martini with blue cheese olives. This is my first time experiencing the famous meat market happy hour, and I was blown away. They extended the hours for the summer to 8 PM so now they have an awesome happy hour from 4 to 8 PM which is unheard of! Their happy hour includes eight dollar specialty drinks, like lychee martinis or margaritas, and a discounted limited menu. Some of the food offerings I tried were colossal shrimp, salmon truffle sticky rice and a King salmon sushi roll. Everything was divine!!! Started off with the ceviche. It's tiny portion and not many taro chips left much to be desired. I asked for bread and it was sourdough. One of the best sourdoughs I've had. Came for happy hour and 50% specialty steaks on a Sunday. 50% specialty steaks is only on Sundays in off season, summer time. Happy hour is all year 4-8. Everything was great. I asked for med rare and it came out the temperature i asked for, the tater tots are huge, a glass of vue filled to the top. It was busy when I got there. I sat at the bar. Happy hour is only at the bar,the 50% specialty steaks is throughout the restaurant. They were busy, I'd suggest a reservation if you go on a Sunday. There is street parking or valet. Dined here on a Friday night during the winter holiday season. We arrived at 6:30 pm and the bar was packed for the happy hour. The dining room was quite empty but filled up by 8-ish. The place is really cold, so bring a jacket. There was nothing on the drink menu that I wanted to try so I had the server put in a custom drink for me and he delivered. We had a 5pm dinner reservation at Meat Market. We were able to find street parking nearby, and there was also a valet out front. We almost passed the front door, as it wasn't well marked. When we walked in, the bar area was busy and very loud, but the dining area was much quieter. We were seated right away, and there was only one other group there when we arrived. The dining room filled in throughout the evening. Tables were fairly close together, and I was surprised when they sat another party directly next to us when most of the dining room was open. We ordered the sliders as an appetizer, which were good. They also brought us a bowl of their house made corn nuts, which was a fun and unique snack. I had the wedge salad, which was very good and the mango was a nice touch. I also had the short rib ravioli (3 pieces) and it had excellent flavor but I wish it was served at a warmer temperature. My husband had the duck, which he enjoyed. For dessert, we shared the chocolate torte. It was big enough to share, and the ice cream and marshmallow parts were good, but the torte itself was a pretty mediocre slice of chocolate cake. My husband also had the cookies and dreams martini which looked delicious. The main reason I am giving 3 stars is because of my experience ordering a mocktail. Although this restaurant did not have a mocktail menu, I had seen reviews where people ordered custom drinks from the bar, so I hoped it wouldn't be an issue to order something non alcoholic. I asked one of our servers if it would be possible to order a cocktail from the menu without the tequila, and she told me no. She said there were only two mocktails to choose from, a mojito or a strawberry based drink. I ordered the mojito and it was good. A while later, I asked our other server what was in the strawberry mocktail, and he seemed unaware of the two mocktail options our previous server had mentioned. He offered a few drinks they could make with the strawberry puree, and I ended up ordering a strawberry mojito mocktail. When my drink arrived and I took a sip, I distinctly tasted alcohol and asked my husband to taste it as well to confirm. We notified the server and he took it back to the bar for a replacement. He told us the bartender read the ticket wrong but never offered a sincere apology, and of course we were still charged for the drink. I was very disappointed that a mistake this serious was not handled as such. If the intention behind limiting n/a drink orders was not to confuse the bar, they ended up confusing the bar anyways. Happy Hour is always enjoyable, however. There are cocktails at good prices, and above-average food choices. On my recent visit, I ordered the Strawberry Caipirinha and asked for it to be less sweet than usual. It was delicious. My friend, a big tequila fan, had the Quatro Verde and was pleased with it. We asked about the ceviche of the day and were delighted that it was grouper. (They do change daily we were told.) It was a beautiful presentation and was fresh and delicious. Food: Never disappointed with the Meat here- always done the way I ask for it and always served piping hot. This particular evening I ordered the 6 oz. Filet Mignon with the Red Wine Reduction Sauce - the sauce was addictive. I ate every bite of my Filet. The fresh, warm Bread and perfect temperature Butter plus seasoned, crispy Corn Chips start the meal off nicely. And the sweet Strawberry Shortcake like dessert was a lovely way to complete the meal. Service: We had two waiters for the evening- oddly when I needed either of them they weren't around. Food: from the delicious Michelin style starters and specials to the beyond fabulous steak offerings, you cannot go wrong here. * Wagyu beef empanadas were so favorable and cooked to perfection; they taste homemade 10/10 * mahi mahi ceviche, punch of citrus in your mouth, not enough plantains for the amount of ceviche but still refreshing and good *short rib ravioli - could've been perfect but came out cold and it's 3 pieces of ravioli. *12oz filet topped with truffle butter with a side of lobster mashed potatoes was what my husbands dreams are made of - he naturally wanted the tomahawk but I refused to make that my problem * Alaskan king crab hand roll was the perfect combo of delicious and beautiful. it's a petite burrito stuffed with crab, what's not to like?! * crème brûlée was the perfect ending. I'm not a CB fan, but dang, what is in that! Service was great for the most part, you can tell they are extremely busy but still knowledgeable and assisted by other busboys and waitstaff. I've dined at Meat Market a few times in the past year. Happy Hour is from 4 PM to 7 PM daily. It's the best Happy Hour in Palm Beach. Last night I had shrimp cocktail (not pictured) - plump large shrimp served with a spicy cocktail sauce (spicer than the average and I love that). The ceviche of the day was mahi. It was soaked in a mango spicy citrus and served with chips. I liked it - I didn't love it. The Wagiu dumplings flavor was nice. Spicy with a lot of flavor. I would say this time they were a bit too over cooked but didn't stop me from easing them. The slider burgers were delicious and what I expect out of a steakhouse. But what stole the show are the Gouda tater tots. I didn't capture a photo since we ate them up. They are cheesy inside and crisp on the outside. Imagine cheesy potatoes fried to large golden tots. They were served when a chipotle aioli that paired nicely Another show stopper is the Kobe tartar. So good we ordered 2. My dining partners agreed they hadn't had tartar this hood in a long time. I noticed the original glass for the pretty in pink was a martini glass instead of the mule cup, and the waiter switched it out without having to ask. Arriving at 7pm our server was friendly, welcoming and attentive. Having never been, we started with 2 of the chefs special appetizers for that evening, the burrata and the grilled shrimp with chorizo... uh maze ing! Flavors were bursting, salad was so refreshing and shrimp were ENORMOUS! Having also ordered the short rib raviolis to start, we decided to just split the 7oz Australian waygu as we were looking forward to the crème brûlée, another yelper had raved about. We add the truffle butter to the steak as well as a mushroom sauce on the side and it did not disappoint. Absolutely delightfully delicious. The side of salt crusted baked potato was perfectly cooked with butter, sour cream, bacon and chives, a real splurge. Sadly, at this point the restaurant got busy and we got forgotten. We sat for at-least 15mins before our server came back to take our dessert order, then it was another 45mins for our crème brûlée which was totally not worth it. Having had one a few nights earlier at Henry's (I highly recommend that one) I would not order this one again. I came on a busy Saturday for which there was a line up out the door, which is not surprising considering it is an iconic restaurant. Luckily, I had a reservation and the line moved very quickly. Long story short as possible: 4th anniversary of entertaining clients at MM, this time 8 people in total. I booked 3 months in advance with a $2500 minimum, a la carte ordering as usual. I always go above and beyond for my clients and again ordered the seafood tower, which at "market price" is usually around $300. Since we had fewer seafood eaters, I asked for one tower to be split and placed on each end of the table, asking to add enough shrimp cocktail for everyone, open to the server's discretion. As usual, it was amazing! When I got the check, I was charged close to $1,000 for the tower. Lobster tails and king crab legs at a per-person price of $70-90 each. Fine, it was all amazing but the price? Blindsided! I would not obviously question the check in front of clients, and in fairness, when I emailed my sales contact with the question, she contacted the manager and server and said I approved it. There was no mention of cost. I'm not looking for a refund, just be aware. And note MM is down to 3.5 stars, probably for good reason. The place was empty on a Sunday night in April (I live here and understand seasonality). Check your check! I'm not going back next year. read more

Meat Markets service stands above all other establishments in the area. The food was delicious even for someone from the Chicago area. We were brought a small bite before ordering, it was tasty. We ordered two different steaks and a few sides that were all really good. I ordered the twice baked potato which was really good but I feel they should maybe serve it with a little more sour cream. The mashed potatoes were great as was our asparagus. Each of the steaks were cooked to our liking and sauces recommended were good. The drinks were made great as well, we really liked the Fig Old Fashion. The dessert, wow!! My friend took me here for my birthday and I had the best 12 oz filet mignon in my life! Absolutely perfect in every detail. The peppercorn cognac sauce was delightful! The wood-grilled broccolini was flavorful. The last 3 oz of steak went home to become a steak & egg breakfast...scrumptious! The appetizer was some kind of empanada - lots of dough and little filling. Two bites and I pushed that aside to leave room for the steak. My friend's Chopped Mango Wedge Salad was tasty. She ordered the Korean Style BBQ Short Rib and had to send it back to be cooked further, as it was served medium and she was not asked how she preferred it when ordering. I was quite surprised that it didn't have at least 4 stars, but the great reviews and photos convinced us, so we went last Saturday. HOW DOES THIS PLACE NOT HAVE 5 STARS!?? This was by far one of my most favorite meals! Everything was amazing!!! Our waiter Niko was FANTASTIC, and he made the best recommendations! I would absolutely recommend this restaurant! A couple negative reviews mentioned that it was too loud and too expensive. Both are true, BUT the price was totally worth it, and we actually loved the volume of the music! We could hear each other perfectly, but not our neighbors. Plus the music selection was great!! Now to the food: WOW! We started off with the wood grilled octopus (which I believe was on the daily specials menu)... and it was the BEST octopus I've ever had. It was like butter! We also got the White Truffle "American Style Kobe" Tartare... chef's kiss! After Niko asked what we were both thinking of ordering for our entrees, he recommended the 30 Ounce Wagyu Beef Tomahawk Ribeye - which we could share. He also recommended the trio truffle on top. HE WAS ON POINT. That was some of the best steak I've ever had! As for our sides, we got the salt crusted baked potato and lobster mac n cheese. Obviously, those were amazing as well! For dessert, as recommended by Niko again, we ordered the s'mores dessert and it came with ice cream, a huge fudge brownie, roasted marshmallow and graham cookie. It was SOOOOO good! I honestly can't rave enough about our experience at Meat Market! We both really loved the atmosphere because it didn't feel stuffy as so often restaurants of this kind are. Love the meat market, palm beach location is decorated well with a clear distinction between bar and restaurant not over the top but well done up. The prices are not for the faint of heart but the favors are on point. This most recent time we had the wagyu dumplings and sushi platter. Dumplings had a great rich flavor from the fat with a fantastic crunchy shell. The nigiri was so flavorful with the perfectly cooked rice. For mains I was hungry and went with the tomahawk which had the perfect level of fat for cooking and taste. Been back may times and will keep going back. read more
