One of the reasons we went with Bathfitters was because of their "lifetime warranty". We're having an issue with our curved curtain rod being droopy and loose since the very day it was installed. They've come out twice to fix it. First time the screws were tightend and it looked great. Before the tech left my husband noticed that one screw was raised and not all the way in on one of the anchors. The gentleman said the screw was stripped and would need the whole thing replaced. He said we'd have to call and set up another appointment. I called and set another appointment. The next gentleman replaced the anchors and screws and sealed the anchors to the wall with silicone. The curtain rod immediately looked droopy again. He told us not to hang the curtain or touch it for 24 hours. After 24 hours had passed we hung the curtain and noticed the rod along with the wall anchors are loose. I called once again and was told they've had problems with customer complaints with these curved rods, but that the tech that came out also noted that this was a child's bathroom and suspected the children were pulling on the curtain. There has been no pulling or hanging of any kind to cause this. It had this problem from the get go. I was also told this curved rods have some give and that's just how they're made. It doesn't make sense to me that the rod is not expected to be parallel to the ground since that defeats the purpose of having the curved rod hold the shower curtain out further. I was told the next move is to install a straight rod, which I'm OK with, however the anchors are now loose plus they've been installed pretty far back into the shower wall so I'm not sure how a straight rod would work in this space. I do not want any new holes made in the shower surround either. I was told they didn't want to keep sending someone out to waste time. I did request another appointment so the tech can see his finished work and see that the rod is droopy and now the anchors are loose from the wall. My biggest complaint though is the customer service. Speaking over the phone I get the feeling I am annoying them with my concerns. They are short and dismissive. I have been abruptly put on hold or transfered to another department without being told that that was happening. Customer service before the sale was top notch. Now that we have a slight issue, their tone has completely changed. I am hoping to update my review once they come back to re-address the issue. My next appointment is August 18. read more

The work was promised to be completed in one day . This was the reason the we choose to hire Bathfitter. They did not finish in one day but had to come back three days later to finish. They also sent the wrong color shower parts and had to come back for a third time to swap out for the correct parts. I am disappointed with this company and not happy with their service and will not recommend them to anyone that I know that is looking for a bathroom remodeler. One of the workers came shortly after my first review and put silicone along the door, so I no longer have any leaks. It should have been sealed in the first place. He also had to put in a screw for the one handle as it just came off without it. While I do now love my shower, I just wish everything had been done correctly the first time. The guy had to come out twice since he didn't have the correct screw with him when he fixed the shower door. Overall, I like my shower. It's easy to clean and functions well. UPDATE: posted a review in 2020 so wanted to give you a heads up that Bath Fitter is still horrible. I've reached out the BBB at this point for help. I've shared my experience with management and they were uninterested and still made me chase the glass installer for service. They are not taking accountability for their third party installers or their service. Very quick to take your money but not providing any follow up services. I've had 2 repairs in less a year and now a new piece is peeling off. Still waiting for my door handle since my first request last July. My advice is do more research and maybe pay the extra money for better service and quality. read more

We had a bath tub ordered and installed recently. The bathtub is beautiful but the installation was rushed and sloppy.

We requested a quote from Bath Fitter in early June. A representative came to our house and took measurements of our bath (a new bath liner). We signed a contract, paid a 35% down payment, and was told the liner would be in by the end of June. Called early July and was told it might be in today, but definitely by next week '. Called early August and was told 'it will be delivered August 23rd'. Received a call from Bath Fitter today as was told 'The factory just informed us they will not be able to make our liner because of the age of the tub, but we will completely refund your down payment.' I said, 'You couldn't have let me know 6-weeks ago when you purposely checked and updated delivery schedules.' Their answer was just more BS. When you sign the contract, the contract says you cannot cancel, even when the delivery schedule is much later than promised. However, they can cancel the contract after you have waited several weeks. Bottom line: This is a highly unprofessional, unreliable company. I would seriously recommend that you use ANY other company than Bath Fitters. read more

June 19th, 2019 I am Beyond disgusted with the how this company Bath Fitter is treating my senior citizen mother and father who where looking to get their bathrooms remodeled. May 31st, 2019 The company rep. Jim/James came into their home Friday Evening, did some checking/measuring, showed them some products and gave them a quote. Took a deposit of $2,200 cash (which was more then the $1,000 deposit limit stated in the contract) and left. Per the contract she had 3 BUSINESS days to cancel. On Monday June 3rd my mother called Jim/James and asked him to hold back on moving forward because she had another company coming to take a look at the job. On that Wednesday June 5th, the 3rd business day, she wrote an email stating she would not be going with their company and she would be needing her $2,200 deposit back. Jim/James then contacted my Mother and told her it was to late, that they count Saturday as a business day. (Nowhere in contract does it state Saturday is a business day, And after a quick Google search. Monday-Friday are business days) She also later found out that then had already opened up a line of credit with a $2,200 charge on it, which doesn't make sense. As of today June 1she is still out the $2,200 and they are saying she will not be receiving it back. I'll do my best to keep this post updated as long as this matter isn't resolved. Bruce W. I have been wanting a soaking tub for years but could never find the right one, as we have a small space and odd size walk-in shower. We saw a Bath Fitter booth at the Santee Street Fair and got some info. Patrick came to the house, explained everything to us and helped us put together our new bathtub layout. Six weeks later, Jake came out and got everything installed. He was great! They did not deliver what I purchased then did damage to my ceiling in the process of installing the tub. A guy came out and said they would repair the damage to the ceiling and they would refund the difference between what I purchased and what I got.After many calls and emails that they refused to answer and not rectifying the situation I finally contacted my credit card company. Bath Fitter ignored them also and the credit card company refunded my money. I called and offered to pay the difference which they ignored and not they are threatening a lien on my property. I'm so disappointed in this install. There are so many things Very sloppy work and the office has no urgency to correct. I agree with the other yelps the office manager is arrogant and isn't effective. I sent him a photo of several items I wanted corrected, rather than respond he forwarded my email without direction to a "service" memember without the photo triggering her to leave me "a long voicemail" (her words to deflect the lack of communication) looking for a photo I already provided. So long story longer, the project management sucks, the accountability sucks, the communication sucks the quality of workmanship sucks the product isn't any better than others on the market. It was very difficult to find someone to help, when I got there he was not apologetic it's like he's jaded from dealing with this all the time. Still missing a few punch list items and they booked me a month out, I didn't fight this because they don't seem to care. Watch out consumers. They have no contractors license, They are not bonded , They do not pull permits or do the deain systems correctly I signed up for there fantastic one day installation, Ha. I watched as they destroyed my existing Jaquzzi tub, Which nI told them I wanted to usr on another propoerty. But , No way, the installer took a sawall and cut it in half Then in watching the process the installer had no idea what code was for a shower drain. I stopped him and told him to contact his boss and explain this. He never contacted me, instead a plumber from another company showed up to do it correctly. But the worst was when there was no invoice no [a[er work at all , and no communication on whart was going to b e done about the damaged tub. Come to find out they us3ed the charge card I put the deposit with to charge again without my consent. Still have not heard any resolut6ion after makong numerous calls to there office. A friend of mine had BF install a shower and it not only looks nice the quality looks good as well. The salesman told my friend that they pay $100 for referrals that sell, that being said I purchased a shower as well, after 3-4 calls they never sent my friend the referral fee! Poor customer service. $8500 for a 60" x 30" shower I'd expect better shower doors, these are very cheap glass doors. I was going back and forth on respraying and redoing the bathtub in the home we just purchased. The old outdated 1980's drop in just looked and felt horrible so I gave Bath Fitter a call. I ended up speaking with Justin the GM and he gave me some options and showed me some of the different models. I decided that because this was our only tub to do it right and replace the whole thing. I scheduled the installation and the office staff called me two days prior to confirm the appointment. The technician was scheduled for 8am and he showed up a few minutes early and was outside and ready to go promptly on time. I had been worried about the fact the the tub didn't have an overflow drain but when the tech pulled he got us back to good as new. We went with the smaller of the tub models and let me tell you this thing is still huge. I don't take bath's very often but when this thing went in I couldn't help but to sit down in the tub and there is so much room its amazing. In addition having the curved bar makes the shower feel really big. My wife is pregnant and I help wash her back and we both fit in there with room to spare. The walls and tub look so good that this is the best renovation that we've done on our new place and we renovated close to 75% of the home. It makes me proud to show friends and family who come over to check the place out. With my wife being pregnant and the place being renovated and clean one of our concerns was that it was going to be messy. I mean, we are talking about a bathroom renovation basically. I was at work while it was being installed and I came home to a house that looked untouched. EXCEPT for the awesome new tub! I couldn't be more pleased with the new tub and the work Bath Fitter did for us. It is so easy to clean and great to look at I won't hesitate to use them again or recommend them to anyone. read more

Bathfitters is the way to go when it comes to updating your shower or bath. We converted our bathtub-shower to shower only. The pricing is extremely reasonable and mind you, they do financing as well. The quality of work is superb. Our installer Luis was ever so meticulous! We couldn't scrutinise any part of his work. I would like to start this off and say, our inital visit with Bathfitters was GREAT!! We were going to go forward with our remodel, placed a $200 deposit down and received a phone call every couple of weeks seemed like every week in regards to a 25% deposit from Roberta. She was very nice by the way. After discussing this further as a family we decided that moving forward was not going to be a decision we could make financially being that it was only a one-income household. So I called and explain to Roberta that we decided to cancel our decision to move forward. I was given the runaround and told I would be given a call back a couple of weeks past, I kept following up and of course I received the, "It is past your refundable time frame for your deposit." Of course it is, so the money that we place down which was our $200 we will not get back and that's fine bathfitters can keep it but I do feel that was unfair because they were very persistent with calling us in regards to 25% down which was about $3,000 but we're very reluctant to return our call to return our $200. So please make sure that when you are seeking out a company to provide services in your home, make sure you read the small print or sure you are within that timeframe. Make sure you are very persistent and ensuring that you get your money back or you receive a phone call back within their time frame, because of yoi don't you will be holding the short end of the stick. read more

Exceeded my expectations. I will update after we use the shower but the install was thorough. Our technician was professional, courteous and tidy. He communicated that we would need to shut off our water so he could install pipes and a new drain. I inspected the plumbing and it was beautifully done. Once that step was complete our water was back on and he was right back to work. We have a pretty small bathroom and he worked tirelessly to make the most of our space. Bath Fitter provides an interesting product, but beware of their highly dishonest and irresponsible sales practices. THE GOOD: Bath Fitters is very easy to schedule an appointment with. They send a salesperson to come to your home and measure your tub/shower and do a general inspection to help prepare their estimate. The salesperson that came to us was very friendly. THE BAD: Pricing is not very transparent, and it's hard to shake the feeling that you're getting taken for a ride. The Salesperson will offer you a 10% ($500 max) discount if you sign a contract that day and put down a 10% deposit. THANK GOD we live in California and have three days to change our minds. After reading about other people's experiences online, it seemed clear that Bath Fitter's pricing is all over the place. If you live in a nice neighborhood, prepare to pay way more. Due to the high cost, my wife and I decided to change our mind and cancel our contract. Two weeks later, and Bath Fitter still hasn't refunded my deposit. I am going to take this back to a two, and last review. BE AWARE THAT THE LIFETIME WARRANTY IS ON THE VINYL ONLY, NOT ON THE WORK - that's about a year, but I couldn't get a concrete response on exactly how long. They recently came out and "fixed" the part that had pulled away from the wall with basically a hair (heat) dryer. Bottom line: I paid $7,000 for something I'm just OK with and will probably slowly come off the wall. The bathtub itself is very nice. I REALLY WANTED TO LOVE THE PRODUCT AND EXPERIENCE BUT IT WAS JUST OK. Would not use them again but would shop around. It is a way to get a bathroom done when you don't have all the money. At 2-yrs interest free then 29% interest it will definitely give you the boost to get it paid off as quickly as possible. read more

I wanted to echo some other people's comment about Barbara as she was wonderful. Greg is also very helpful. My 3 stars is based on the install crew. The work was good but attitude for one them was less than pleasant. One of the shelves that were order was not on hand to install, clean up was not there in 2 of three bathrooms. They failed to put back my water hose and clean up scraps. The installer in the master bath knocked my travertine tile on the opposite wall because he banged the wall to hard. It appears that paying over $15000 for three bathrooms you would get better service. Update to this review. Greg is not good at all, Shelly is nice but over tasked and the workers they send out are not competent and could not work for a real plumbing company. I have been negotiating for 1 year to get my master bath shower to have shower door and still no glass guy to do measurements and install the door. read more
