It was hard for me to believe that we would have a whole new tub and shower surround in one day, but it's true! We found Bath Fitter at the Home Show in Del Mar. We got two quotes (one from another installer at the same home show) and Bath Fitter was much more affordable and, offered some great financing options! We needed to replace a 36 year-old builder grade, fiberglass tub and surround. It was cracking and looked awful! Our installer, Aaron was amazing! He arrived right on time and quickly got to work! It was incredible, watching our bathroom transform! The whole process took about eight hours. These guys have it down! Aaron needed a part and it was quickly delivered by another Bath Fitter employee. And, at the end of the day, Greg, who we met at the home show, dropped by to check out the work. I would most definitely hire them again! I wish I had done it sooner! read more

I cannot recommend them enough. 10/10 is too low, they deserve an 11. Most of my neighbors have had their bathrooms done by other companies; for them it took months and cost well over $17, sometimes $30k. Ours took 2 days and was just under $10k. More importantly everything was done right the first time. These people have an awesome system unlike any other company. They are ORGANIZED, that's what sets them apart. I still can't get over that it only took 2 days, and this included removing drywall and starting from scratch! This is the experience every customer hopes they'll have with other companies, but never happens. My thanks to Barbara in sales for being so patient and co-ordinating what we needed and putting up with our constant request for changes. Eila and Shelly were very helpful and made sure the transition went smoothly, again, addressing all my changing concerns. Our installer Art was the best. He is living proof that one guy can get a job done and RIGHT the first time. We've had other rooms remodeled by other companies and they always sent a small army of guys that handed off jobs to others because they couldn't get it done, turning a simple job into weeks or months. Art was different, he was a one-man army of "can do." I've been showing off my new bathroom to all my neighbors. They must think I'm nuts. I can't stop admiring it. Bath Fitter - General Contractors Near Me - El Cajon, California

I was interested in a bathroom remodel and contacted Bath Fitter in El Cajon. I was already familiar with the company due to a family member, that was employed with them out of state. After the sales pitch, I agreed to use their services and the sales person gave my husband and I a quote, and told us he would need a $500 deposit and would run our credit and get back to us the next day. Saturday morning I received a call and was told my credit was declined and at the time I assumed that our agreement was null and void. To my surprise about a month later my credit card statement came with the charge for deposit for services with Bath Fitters. I then called the salesman Joey, and he told me to call the office and they would take care of it! After numerous phone calls, and the run around from the officer manager, I have yet to receive a response regarding my refund. I might mention that Joey also back dated my contract which is unethical, and against the law! Buyers please beware of this companies tactics. I'm quite sure other seniors like myself live on a fixed income and $500 is quite a bit of money. This is a hard and tough lesson learned! I will also be following up with the BBB as well as the state of Ca. Don't use Bathfitter, they make all sorts of claims about installing in less than a day that they will not meet up to. The product looks and feels cheap, but they sure don't price it that way. I have been in the process of getting a shower remodeled for 90+ days and I still do not have a usable shower. I have contacted the office in my area multiple times, and they don't seem to think its important to return my calls or to even get the shower finished. They are inconsiderate of me and my time. I scheduled an install for a specific day, took the day off work so I could be present for the work, and they didn't ever specify a time to show up until I called them more than half way through the day, and even then didn't show up until the normal business day was over. I could have worked all day and still made it home for the install, if only someone had called and told me..... The company is poory managed and run at best, and dishonest and deceptive at worst. They will intentionally leave details of the install out to make it sound better, like mentioning their installers are scheduled 60-90 days out. Had they told me it was going to take 90+ days I wouldn't have ever agreed which is I am sure why they didn't. All in all I would give them zero stars if I could, product is way overpriced, service was absolutely terrible, and as of writing this review my shower is still unusable. read more

My nightmare started with Jim Stallings (Field representative) promising me things bath fitter could not deliver. In order to run a successful business it is very important to listen to the customer. Bathfitters not only failed but they made it literally impossible to cancel my order. I asked Karen who answers the phone for Bath fitter if I could please have a supervisor because she was unable to understand my concerns. I find it unacceptable when a company does not have a supervisor ready and available to address customer concerns. We had an appointment scheduled for 6:30pm today (7/7/2020). My wife called the office at 7:15pm because no one arrived.m and was assured we would get a phone call with an ETA. It's now 9:05pm. No phone call. No technician. This is the most unprofessional service I've ever received. Im very surprised based on the reviews I read online about Bath Fitter. My wife is a real estate agent and cancelled showings tonight to be here for this appointment and it was a complete waste of her time. We will be looking for another contractor. read more

The sales process was great. The sales lead made it sound like this was an easy install, took very specific instructions, measurements and was helpful. That is where the great stopped. The install took all day, it was much more complicated, messy and loud then initially communicated. I had two bathtubs installed, one has been issue free where the other has had continued problems. They have sent a number of technicians out before finally coming to the conclusion that the bath liner needs to be replaced. There is very little follow-up, I have to call week after week in order to get resolution. I was told the bath liner would be ordered in Nov, now it won't be done till January. The issue started in September. I am not impressed with their customer service and motto - how can we make you smile today. Place your customers first and when there issues, follow-up on your word. read more

I speak with Steve, he always tells me I need to speak with Sharon and she will call me...she never calls. Worst customer service ever. We needed to change out the tub for a shower due to my dad getting older and losing his vision (he lives with us). I was skeptical at first with the whole "one day remodel" thing, thinking it might look cheap, especially because their quote was $2,000 less than the other company we had out. We decided to take a leap of faith and go with Bath Fitter. Boy are we glad we did!! As promised, they delivered in one day and I couldn't believe it. They removed the tub and installed a beautiful shower with grab bars and an adjustable seat for added safety. It basically looks like real tile even though it's a one piece wall. My husband and I welcomed Bath Fitters into our home for estimates on our upstairs bathtub, but I am beyond angry and disgusted with their guy's demeanor and aggression. After we saw the total we were a little hesitant because the price was higher than expected. However, we really liked the product and my husband and I wanted to talk it over, and possibly have a few other companies come out so we could compare and contrast products and prices. My husband mentioned this while the guy was writing down numbers, and apparently he didn't like that my husband said we were going to look into other companies because he just started to put his things away. My husband asked the guy if he was going to let us see his numbers or leave any info that we may look over, and the guy annoyingly responds with...Did I not earn your business? He then proceeded to pick up his crap and leaves. This was very awkward and made me super uncomfortable, and honestly it pissed me the f.. off because my 8 year old daughter was sitting there listening. Bath Fitters, this is unacceptable. Horrible customer service! Initial measurements were wrong, installer tried to turn chicken crap into chicken soup. Looks like garbage. Had to have another "expert" confirm that it looks like hot poop. Scheduled to have a new end cap installed. Rescheduled us repeatedly. Wasted time off work. STILL SITTING HERE WAITING FOR AN INSTALLER 3 hours later that the rescheduled arrival. They know how to talk a great story. Actually showing up and providing quality is another story. read more

Did two conversions about a year and a half apart. First was tub to shower and second was tub replacement. We love the new appearance. All the work was high quality. Staff were professional, highly skilled, friendly and helpful. Jim Stallings came to our home to show what's available and advise. He was very patient, answered all our questions. DO NOT use Bath Fitters for your remodeling job!!! They are horrible! Their customer service is non-existent. They do not stand by their commitment to fix any problems. They told us they could fix the leaks from the shower. Foolishly we believed them. They tried numerous occasions to fix it but it never worked. Finally, they stopped trying. When we try calling them it is pointless. They either don't answer the phone or they don't return the calls. Horrible, horrible experience! The whole shower needs to be replaced since they said they could fix it but that will never happen. Also, they put the drain cover on wrong and they refuse to fix it!!! I can't believe it and yet they say they will make everything right. Put your money with another company! We are so disappointed. read more

Bath Fitter installed a shower. The shower water regulator would not give hot water. We called for service and they would not come out and fix it for over a week. I had to call a plumber and spend $160 to be able to take a shower. Very poor service!!!! read more

We had a stall shower redone a few years ago. We have had constant trouble which was just poo pooed away. We finally found out that the shower floor was leaking. They had to come and rip out the floor. Several months later they replaced the floor. Still having problems. It has been an absolute nightmare. Never never again read more

We contacted Bath Fitter and although I thought they're prices were quite high, now that I see the outcome I'm thoroughly impressed with their work. The only negative part is that when the Rep came out we felt pressured to sign the contract on site because they offered a 10% discount. Personally we like to usually think about a project like this, especially when spending such a large sum of money. We just had our shower done today so we haven't been able to use it as of yet but we're thoroughly impressed with the outcome! It's very Beautiful and the installer James did a stellar job. He showed up early and although it took him two days instead of the one we were told it would take, his partner that came out to help him had a sling on his arm so I'm guessing that's why it took two day instead of one but he did an incredible job. As previously stated we are thoroughly impressed with the way it looks! Thanks for doing a GREAT JOB JAMES! IT'S ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL and we can't wait to use it!! Thanks again!! read more

This is BS, Installer forgot to install a corner tower, made an appointment to have them stop by to install at a later date/time by myself having to take a day off work. Installer never came by, called the office, representative said it wasn't scheduled even after I gave them the date and time that I called to schedule the 5 minute installation. This shower seems very expensive and the material can be easily scratched. Do not recommend it and service is lousy. Go somewhere else. read more

Although the warranty didn't transfer with new ownership, they offered to still come out free of charge to touch up the silicone seal. Arthur arrived today to take care of it. The new shower looks absolutely fabulous! The old one-piece fiberglass unit had to be removed, and then green board on the walls and heavy duty plywood underneath. It seems everything is now far more substantial than the original, older construction. My installer was James Campbell, and he did a fabulous job. He was on-time and totally competent (I have done some building myself, so I can judge a bit). James was also the perfect gentleman at all times. With representatives like James, I would highly recommend Bath Fitters to potential customers! read more

Not impressed so far!! Ordered a new bath almost two months and still not installed. I had to call them to even get on their scheduling calendar, only to be rescheduled an entire week later. I tried to call today to discuss this with a manager, and he is out of the office and no one is available to speak with me. Very disappointed!! read more

Have had a terrible customer service experience with this company. The poor caulking job came up on the tub and water was getting underneath the tub liner. It feels like I am showering on a water bed floor at this point. I called to have this problem looked at and the technician came out and only replaced the caulking around the edges, he stated he did not have the tools to fix the problem and that I would have to call the company again to get it fixed, rather than escalating it himself. It already took two weeks for the company to send a service tech out to repair the caulking and now I have to call the company again when it should have been the responsibility of the service technician to escalate the problem once he noticed it. He saw how much water was trapped between the liner and the tub and just sealed it up and left it, such a lazy job and the worst customer service experience I have experienced. Now I have to wait god knows how long for another technician to come out and fix the bath, after already taking one day off work for this to get fixed. I will never recommend this company to anyone, unless they enjoy mold growing under their tub and the company not caring one bit. read more

My wife and I saw the Bath Fitters exhibit at the Dia De los Muertos celebration in Oceanside, liked what we saw and asked that a representative come out to the house to show us the product line. Barbara made an appointment and spent about two hours at our home showing us the products available, taking measurements etc. We thought she did a very nice job at the time. As time was running late and we needed to get somewhere we asked Barbara to email us a quote so that we could decide what we wanted to do. After she left we decided we liked what she showed us for one of the baths and we're waiting for the quote. AFTER A MONTH, STILL WAITING FOR A QUOTE. No follow-up from Barbara which I absolutely do not understand why a sales rep would not follow up after spending so much time at our house. 1star only because I have to. My landlord contacted Bathfitters on Dec of 2019. Someone came by did the work and it was beautiful. By March of 2020 the glue began to crack and peel off. So I called to get this fixed, since they're supposed to have a lifetime warranty. I was scheduled an appt the following week when I called. I left work early and no one came. I didn't over reacting then but thought well maybe due to covid. I waited a bit longer then again in June called, several times, then July and aug. NEVER got any call back. So honestly I've disregarded this. Now, it's February 2021. Water is seeping into the cracks. There's huge water pockets under the tub. I called spoke to the sales rep she then transfers me to the installation department, I leave a msg and get a call back the following day. I was told that my appt back in March showed up as a cancelation. Completely untrue. Sounds more like their field guys don't like to work. I was scheduled to have someone come out this week Wednesday between 2-4. So again, I left work early, and no one showed up. I call at 4:30 and the sales lady hears my frustration but says that's not my department. Now I know that if something at my company goes wrong even if it's not my department I'm going to apologize and try to fix things. She did nothing but transfer me to a voice mail and now it's Friday and no one has called and I'm out time from work, again. Now my family is showering with an uneven bathtub that makes you loose your balance. I would never recommend using bathfitters. This is just about the last thing I wanted to do, but I'm also hoping someone will do us right. I had to tape the area with a silicone tape that can be removed so that no more water seeps in. I spent over 3k for a shower surround. I get home to find trash and cigarette butts in the front yard. Inside I find they chipped a square inch of porcelain from my tub and scraped several areas of paint from the ceiling. They will not discount or reimburse me for the damage they have done, but instead send me several thank you letters for using their business. The bathtub spout is not secure and wobbles in the wall when diverting to shower. So delicate that it has ripped the caulking from the wall and I have caulked it again to help to secure it. I have notified them of this also, but as with the other issues I expect nothing to be done. read more

Despite some scheduling difficulties and initial installation issues (and the office staff are not great at returning phone calls), we are very happy with our new bath tub. We already had fairly new shower tile job so only got the tub installation. Unfortunately when Jim came out to take initial measurements he swore to us that the installer could modify the tub to work it around our vanity (next to the tub), so we paid the deposit and ordered the tub. When the installer came out he said no they couldn't do that, and we had to rip out a nice vanity only about 1 - 2 years old. At that point we had already made a sizeable deposit. My husband had to spent his vacation days ripping out a nice vanity, doing the plumbing retrofit, and we had to purchase a new vanity, just to get the tub installed, then install new vanity/plumbing. This all happened about the time our refi appraiser was coming out so then he had to come back once the vanity was installed (extra cost). Well finally our only bathroom is now back in working order, Raul did a really nice installation, addressed our concern on uneven slope of original tub and other questions, and we love the tub. He was very neat. We appreciate that the company did make good on this issue with a discount for the extra cost we had to pay for new vanity. Just make sure if your vanity is next to the tub, don't believe them when they say it won't be any problem!! But so far the quality seems very good. read more

We just got our new walk-in shower installed and we are very pleased. Matt the sales rep was on time and very knowledgeable and provided us a fair price. The installer Kyle who came out to do the work went above and beyond and is a valuable asset to the company. There were a few issues that came up on the day of the installation and Kyle worked well into the late hours of the evening and came back the next day to finish everything up. The new shower is absolutely beautiful! I would be happy to refer Bath Fitter to any friends or family or anybody looking for a bathtub remodel. read more

We just had our tub removed and a walk in shower installed by Bath Fitter. From beginning to completion we were very happy with the job. Barbara Lang came and described the process and the company. She was very thorough and explained all the options that we had and helped us in our decision making when we needed help. James C. did the install. He was prompt, very personable and polite and did a great job. He was respectful of our home taking care to prevent any problems or damage to anything.
