Tim was beyond professional, highly knowledgeable and is by far the cleanest, most organized tradesman I've ever met. He had to demo our existing shower to the studs and subfloor. He was fully prepared for it and finished up ahead of schedule even though he was tackling the install alone. He went over a million details with us as he went, keeping us informed. Tim made very sure where we wanted the "grab bars" and made sure he sunk them into the wall studs with all proper care to avoid leaks/future water damage. I will update this when our install is complete. First always ask for a building permit. The reason this is helpful is the inspectors make sure it's done according to building code, otherwise they may not install properly. We started install on Tuesday with Stephen. Demo was fast, tub, tile removed in a couple hours. The new drain installed and shower head pipe moved up to proper location. Then I noticed the blocking wasn't behind the pipe as required, instead the guy put copper pipe behind the water line as a spacer and barely screwed in the pipe to blocking 6" below the shower head. On Wednesday when he came back, it took a lot of convincing until he fixed the shower head blocking and moved it thankfully to where it should be. Then they install what looks like 3/8" paperbacked green board. The cheapest stuff possible with gaps between boards 1/4-3/4" definitely not industry standard, especially given our back wall is a fire wall separating the bathroom to the garage. Then I stepped on the shower pan and it flexed so much it splashed water out. So much for a sturdy install. I called and complained, but Tobias did much convincing to tell me this was all ok after looking at these photos. Then Friday inspector comes and looks at the walls and goes, "oh wow what's being installed?" Then I showed him the acrylic panel, he agrees then the wall should be sealed. He said he would write it up, and left. Inspectors are hard to get to stay more than 5 min. Not sure, but I don't think they passed that inspection. Then this morning, now 4 days after they started the install, I just realize they didn't install blocking for the grab bars. I'm hoping all of these bad install issues will be resolved and putting this review up to hope to give them some motivation. To be continued.... read more

I did not use bath fitter, I would suggest going to their office and warehouse in West Sacramento. I worked by them, it was an absolute pigsty, trash all around the dumpster, by the warehouse doors and the general area. I I would avoid walking anywhere around their building., it would take about an hour to clean it up.. I'm hoping this post changes things, I went to the dumps in Sacramento and their work areas were cleaner and better organized. read more

If you don't mind paying a premium price for a so so product li that has wall patterns that are basically invisible, a shower pan that stays wet for over 8 hours after showering and a management team that assumes customers are stupid; go for it. read more

Very disappointed. I cannot fully open my door to my bathroom. They contacted me about the problem only to tell me they cannot do anything about it. They recommended I cut my door (seriously!?). We just put in brand new doors and I'm not going to cut it because of their botched job. I appreciate them looking into fixing it, but after telling me, they can't do anything about it, they didn't even offer me a refund. Now I have to completely redo my bathroom with a different company. Also, their product stains. I have changed cleaner and their suggestion is I change my bathroom products. Please do not use. I was prompted to write by the endless commercials promising one-day installation. We were promised that too. What we got was a process that stretched over months and required at least five visits from the contractor. Often work would just stop until we called repeatedly to complain. The design we agreed on was changed twice to simplify it for the contractor's convenience. The final product and the price were decent, but the process was far from what was promised. read more

For the record never ended up having them install a shower, although the experience leading up to it was so bad we decided to cancel the whole thing even if it meant losing our $1000 deposit. To be fair, as soon as we decided not to go with them anymore they promptly refunded the $1000 deposit, so props to them for doing the right thing. We originally had the evaluation and had the salesmen come and measure and pick everything out, and had everything set and paid the deposit. We mentioned several times that time is especially important to us, and they promised us they can do the installation roughly 2 weeks from when we signed the contract. Roughly a week after they confirmed that all the materials are shipped and confirmed the installation date, and we were reassured. However day of the installation, not only did they not arrive on time, but an hour after their supposed appointment time I received a call saying they have to cancel and push back the appointment a week, because apparently the shower wall panel did not arrive yet. Apparently when they said the parts arrived they didn't actually check it and the day of the installation when they actually looked over the parts they realized the wall panels were missing. How a shower installation company did not realize the core component of the shower, the largest and main object, did not arrive the week before eludes me. But I understand things happen, and accidents occur, but their poor handling and miscommunication really upset us. Another large issue that soured this whole ordeal was the really poor and bad communication that we had right after we signed the contract and. Once everything was signed, we had some clarifying questions about the shower. Due to my work schedule, it was hard to talk over the phone and i hate to play phone tag, so i rather communicate through text or email. Not only did they not answer my texts or emails initially, but I had contact several people until someone did. And when they did, rather than answer our questions, they asked us to call them, and when I clarified that my job doesn't makes it hard to communicate over the phone, they kept replying to my email insisting I call them at THEIR convenient hours. I was so confused why someone in this day and age refuses to communicate using email or text, especially when I've repeatedly expressed my preference for it. Review is already long enough, so I won't go on. But essentially, I would never do business with someone that can't even answer an email appropriately, and I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy. read more

Joseph Avila was our sales/project coordinator for both projects and created great designs that included complete removal of our existing bath/showers (not the typical "bath over" project). He came out for the first day of the removals and worked with the site project manager Brandon Klein. Brandon provided great service (on time, clean up every day, and great craftsmanship). We were so impressed with the addition of a partial wall in the first walk-in shower remodel that we added it to the second bathroom remodel. Sarah Sisco kept us informed of all of the schedules and the changes we requested in our projects. She coordinated the building inspectors' schedules. They were all awesome! I cannot rave enough about this company. For starters, their sales rep, customer service, installers, workmanship and product selection get a five star plus in my book. And I'm very meticulous. Sales: Dan was my rep. No pressure or no hype. He was respectful, knowledgeable, and took his time. All his i's were dotted and t's crossed. The product selection gave me many options that fit my needs, budget and style. Dan supported me for the length of the project. Customer service: I started this project March 2022. Because I live in a condo complex and our heating units are heat pumps that use a hydronic system, shutting off the water can have an impact on residents. Throw in an HOA (grrrr), was the reason this project took a year and cancelled after the contract was signed last year. The office staff Danielle, Victoria and Claudia worked with me through the anxt, even though all the products were ordered and the permit paid for, they kindly refunded my deposit minus the permit fee because that had been paid. Fast forward to March 2023, I decided to resurrect the project. Same great customer service and staff. My permit application was still valid, so no out of pocket expense there, as was my architectural approval from my HOA. However, we were up against the clock to get everything ordered again and installed before the valid dates expired. BathFitter came through with flying colors. Got everything reordered, scheduled installation and the city inspector. Installers and workmanship: Brandon and his crew (Frank and Stephen) showed up on time, told me what to expect, confirmed my order matched what I signed. Because I was having this project permitted, it took four days vs. one. Day 1 demolition. Day 2 city inspection. Day 3 final installation, day 4 final city inspection. My install did not qualify for a fit over due to the original tub. The first day was a bit gnarly. There's no getting around demolition. It's messy and noisy. But the guys got it done and ready for the inspector the next day. Final installation went off without a hitch. I kept peaking in during the process. Upon completion, I walked in and I was so excited I grabbed the guys and said OMG! it's exactly what I envisioned. What was once an ugly outdated, cracked and pealing tub and shower surround was gone and a brand new bright white tub and shower surround living in its place. What gave me trepidation from the onset, ended on a beautiful high-note with no gotchas. See for yourself from the photos. BTW - I'm writing this review from tub. Where to begin, everything started off great. We had a new tub liner installed with the walls and new fixtures for the shower and everything looked great. Fast forward 48 hours and the first time we attempt to use the new setup and give our son a bath when my wife tells me she hears water leaking downstairs directly below where the shower is located. Sure enough, we have water coming out the walls onto the floor and leaking into our kitchen. It was Saturday, luckily, so they got the installer back out to try to fix the leak. He pulled the drain out resealed it and thought he had fixed it. We waited another 24 hours to try again as requested and sure enough same problem. Ends up taking a week to get them back out to decide that they need to cut into our ceiling to see where the water is coming from. Before they did that they attempted to have me sign a very generic waiver that appeared to be typed by their office team waiving them of responsibility for the leak. The term "consulting their legal department" was thrown around before this on phone calls with the Project Manager Tabias which immediately made me concerned. After going back and forth about how we are going to proceed we agreed to let them cut into the downstairs ceiling to find out where the water is coming from but I absolutely was not absolving them of responsibility. They did fix the leak which is honestly the least I expected them to do since we had no leaks prior to this install. When discussing how the hole in our ceiling and the subsequent water damage was going to be resolved Tabais kept assuring me they are going to "make it right." At this point of the process I assumed that would be the case. It has now been over a month, we still have a hole in our ceiling and now I feel like the games of trying to skirt responsibility for the damage caused to our property are in full effect. We were asked by Tabias to get them quotes for the work to be repaired. When attempting to get those quotes I was told by multiple reputable contractors that in order for that to happen, we need to have testing performed to determine if there is lead or asbestos present in the downstairs bathroom due to the age of our property. We got two quotes, as requested, to Tabais for that test to be performed and the costs so that we could get this process started. Full transparency, we had a family emergency which delayed the time between the leak being fixed to attempting to get the quotes by about a week to a week and half tops. However, we were told this past Monday afternoon (03/25) that these quotes were being sent to their back office and that we could expect a check to cover the costs of the test. By Wednesday I had not heard anything so I reached out, Tabias said he's still working on the request and will have an answer on Thursday. No response on Thursday. Friday comes and I am now being told that they want to send their own contractors that they approve of out to look at the damage, completely bypassing the test for lead and asbestos. This seems incredibly wrong for two reasons. First, I was asked to provide quotes and find my own approved contractors only for BathFitter to then change their mind and say they want to send their own people. Second, they want to bypass a step that requires testing because it could be deemed unsafe to complete the work without knowing what they are getting into. They don't live in this house. Me and my family do. It seems like they are trying to cut corners to save themselves money. I then asked Tabais who his boss is because I wanted to escalate this situation and make them aware of what we have been going through and what is being suggested by their team. I was told Aaron O'Keefe was his boss and was told by Tabais that he "wasn't at work today so he needs 45 minutes to look up his bosses phone number for me." Complete B.S. everyone has their bosses number either in their phone or somewhere close in case they need to talk to them. The contact information never made it to me. That conversation happened at 10:17am local time on Friday morning (03/29). Apparently his computer is really slow because he still was not able to get his number to me by the end of the business day some 7 hours later. At this point, I don't want any of their approved contractors out here because I don't trust that they will be doing what's right for us as a customer and instead will be looking to save BathFitter money. Meanwhile, we still have a bathroom with a hole in the ceiling that is unusable because we don't even know if it is safe. This experience has been completely awful from the first time we noticed we had a leak until now. I just want to put our story out there to others can be aware of the type of treatment they can get from this company. All this talk of "making it right" appears to be just smoke and mirrors to buy themselves time and figure out how to delay this process as long as possible and cut corners along the way. read more

Our tub got installed today but it doesn't seems worth 8k. I'm not happy at all, seems like we got ripped off. Too much of a gap when Dan (Bath Fitter Sales Rep) that it will be covered from top to bottom and they also ended up giving us Chrome and not Brass Nickel faucet and shower. SMH!!!! For that much money, we could have done the entire bathroom not just the tub. They didn't even offer military discount. We need our master bathroom upgraded too but I am not sure if we will be using Bath Fitter again. read more

A pleasure to review Bath Fitter's mini-bathroom renovation! I am SOOOOOO Happy with our new BathFitter bathroom renovation. In one week, our horrible old tub and mildewy tile has been completely replaced with a stunningly beautiful, forever clean and practical new walk-in shower, exactly to our specifications. Naturally there were some limits on the selection because they can't offer every possibility, but the tradeoff in speed, practicality and longevity are all worth it. And honestly, the whole customer experience, from day one to completion has been a pleasure. Our sales person, Dan C, was a gem from the getgo, making sure we were happy during all steps in the process, including throughout installation. Dan thoroughly explained what was possible and what he would recommend given his breadth of knowledge and experience with the company and the field. No hard sells here! As for our installer, Brendan T, I am not even sure how to sing Brendan's praises loud enough. He involved me in every step along the install, ensuring that I understood what he was doing, what the plans and next steps were, what to expect from the inspectors, and how to care for our new shower. Brendan's extensive general contractor background was carefully translated to give me descriptions in very clear language and he made sure at every step of the way that I had all the information and decision-making power to determine the things that I could. Bath Fiitter installed a tub and enclosure in my home over 10 years ago. It has been wonderful and so easy to clean. Two years ago Tim Klein installed an additional grab bar. The bar came out of the package with a scratch. It could have been hidden, but Tim (knowing my OCD) ordered a new one and installed it. The customer service from this company has been phenomenal. I recently discovered that the caulking was loose on part of my tub. I called to make an appointment and was delighted to see Tim show up at my door to do the work. I only wish it was easier to make an appointment. The company is willing to make repairs, but it takes a few calls to obtain an appointment. We had our shower redone by Bath Fitter several years ago and are alright with how it functions and looks (Full remodel would have been better overall) but the customer service has been terrible. Within the past year or so, a small magnetic piece for the door has rusted and broken off, requiring a repair. We called them back in February to schedule a repair and they told us they would have to check on the part required to replace. It's now June and we have yet to find out if the correct part was found and when a date will be planned for someone to install it. We've had to call them several times to check in with the progress but are just given the same excuse that they are very busy with customers. As far as I'm concerned, we are one of their customers and deserve some type of response in a timely manner. It's not like our repair is some huge project. It's just a 2 inch metal piece. If I had the piece, I would just do it myself but it's not something sold anywhere else apparently. We left a stern voicemail again (6/14) and have not received a response. If you're in need of a bathroom remodel, check elsewhere. At this point, we wished we just did a full demolition instead of taking the 'easier' option. My technician arrived on time to give me a free estimate. I saw the commercial and really need to update my shower and shower door. The tech was here for less than 5 minutes because apparently, replacing my shower, the base, and the door would cost upward of $8,000!!!! Lowes quoted me less than $600 for the whole project. Look at the picture of my shower and shower door - there is no way I am paying $8,000 for new shower doors, floor, and door. That's just ridiculous. This company is a rip off! Stay away! read more
