I needed a new bathtub rather than the standard slipcover that the put over an old tub. Because of that my old tub had to be removed. When Bathfitter met with us they said that had someone who would do it. As it turned out the person they had was experiencing some difficulties and was uncertain he could perform the removal. As it turned out the removal person showed up a day early and my tenant had to go an extra day without her bathroom. I called the manager about this and he basically told me that the removal person wasn't their employee. So it was basically my responsibility to make sure the guy Bathfitter told me would remove my tub did the job properly. Just be aware of this if you need a replacement rather than the slip cover arrangement. It took me more than 36 hours to reach the manager. He told me that was because his area manager was in his office all day in meetings. Don't you think an area manager would tell the manager to break off from the meeting and talk to a customer who was having a problem? Now I want to report on the work that Bathfitter itself did: they didn't have all the parts when they arrived. So they had to come back on a subsequent day. Throughout the whole ordeal the manager's position with me was not very customer oriented. He had the old "not our responsibility" attitude. For the money I paid (a LOT) I expected more. read more

I just got my new shower and love it. it looks great! Michael did such a good job. he was so professional and gave me good ideas for adding grab bars. He got here at around 8:15 and was gone by 2pm! This was a long process that didn't go smoothly. First the positives: The employees are very nice. The finished project looks nice. Now the negatives: The product is overpriced. It was only 10 minutes before the first install appointment was due that I received a call saying "Oh, your tub/form hasn't arrived so we won't be installing today, sorry." Next came a missed appointment. I was told the sales person had an emergency and then found out "No, he was on vacation". Next, the big install finally came and the (younger, not as experienced installer) cut the tub/form wrong. I'm satisfied with the final install and wish I could give Bathfitters a better review but can't. I had to plan too much of my personal time to see this project finished. I spoke too soon! As it turns out this second tub insert DID NOT seat itself well and had to also come out! The last two pictures are of tub insert number THREE which I am very happy with. We hired BF to remove an existing bathtub/shower setup and replace it with just a shower. From the time we called and set up the initial estimate appointment and install day our experience was top-notch. I can't express how happy we are with the completed project. We were told it would take 2 days and it did. But what I want to write about is the best workmanship, attention to absolutely every detail from start to finish I've ever experienced. Our installer's name was Erin O'Toole. I'm here to brag and give thanks to Mr. O'Toole. I've had many of contractors over the years doing various projects but Erin is absolutely the BEST I've had in my house. Across the board, from start to finish his organizational skills, cleanliness, precision, craftsmanship, communication on timelines, everything, just unbelievable. The bathroom looks fantastic. I'm retired Army, and I have a habit of going behind people and checking their work/progress and to learn new things (LOL). I have zero, 0, things bad to say about Erin's work. I can write more but you get the point. Thank you Erin for being our installer, you get 5 Stars. Your a Good man! Now, on a different note. I would like to say that I waited a week and a half to write this review because I was hoping BF was going to do a followup call and basically inquire about our experience but we haven't heard back from them or the sales rep (Robert). I am updating my review because shortly after my first review, I was contacted by the Sales Manager who expressed a genuine concern for his employees while also understanding and apologizing for the misleading sales presentation I received. His concern for the livelihood of the Bath Fitters staff expressed a true passion that this was more than just a business to him, but a family. As someone who worked in sales in my youth, I totally understood where he was coming from. I hold no fault against Bath Fitter as a company. However, he also admitted that the sales person I spoke with used some deceptive tactics by not mentioning the 20% discount beforehand. The in-person demonstration I received tells me this is still a very quality product, and for those who can afford it I would reccomend these baths for their custom bathrooms. read more

The product is wonderful - the installers did a fantastic job but don't expect any service if you happen to need to schedule a repair. Six phone calls to Service desk and a call to store manager were never returned. Just had to keep calling to finally get someone to talk to about the repair. Bath Fitter gave me the appearance and quality I wanted for my full bathtub/shower upgrade to acrylic. The salesman Joey was super friendly and helpful in the selection of product and the install by Tony X. was top-notch. Tony was professional and very hardworking, finishing the job in one day! Tony X. even came back the next day in an hour or so from me requesting an additional shelf installed in shower. Best response time ever!! The tub and shower look great and shows his experience installing. Every detail from trim, height of walls, and buttoning up the window beautifully. Given all the negative reviews, I thought I should post a positive one. We just had our bathroom done (standard tub with shower) and the process went very smoothly for us. The saleswoman was very nice and installation was quick (done in a day). All employees were always on-time and very professional. I received several confirmation calls and emails throughout. We knew what the price would be from the get-go after the saleswoman came out. Keep in mind that products like this are not cheap! It was cheaper, however, than a complete demolition/remodel with tiling would have been. The tub looks good - no issues at all. I don't give it 5 stars only because this was just done a couple of days ago, so I can't speak to how well the installation will hold up. **update 08/2018: we just sold our house and the bath still looks brand new :) read more

So, purchased a new home and spare bathroom was hideous, gross and abused. The kids use this bathroom, and it was designated "The Swamp". Called and met with Olu, he was awesome! Full of information and was a pleasure to talk to. He was very knowledgeable with no high pressure sales pitch. The great customer service continued when I spoke with a wonderful gal, Veronica, over the phone. She provided timeline regarding delivery and installation date, and was professional, funny - she was great! Delivery/install day arrived and it was a smooth process, and my installer Branden T. was awesome. Brandon T. arrived on time, he was polite and the neatest installer I have yet to encounter. Very careful regarding my floors, covered the intended pathway, and cleaned up within the bathroom on day 1. Since my plumbing presented a small challenge, we had a 2 day installation, which was fully explained from the beginning of this process by Olu, as a possibility. Brandon showed me the issue and what he had done to make it work. Clean, professional and took time with explanations and my 800 questions. Most importantly, he was funny and personable. Very impressed with the wages advertised. The reality was much different. Advertised was $1,200 to $2,000 per week but to start off with four to six months of training you make only $20 an hour. I've worked tile and construction over 20 years, I don't remember the last time I got paid $20 an hour. Not enough for mortgage and a family. Bath Fitter just replaced our old out dated and discolored bath tub with a new bright walk-in shower today 8-9-21 and we love it can't wait to use it . Michael Mitchell was our installer from bath fitter and he was great, he explained every thing that he would be doing. As the work progressed he kept us informed of what he would be doing next and when Michael found a couple of minor issues he showed us what he found and told us what he would have to do and be for he went any further he got our approval to do the correction .Michael was a experienced professional when he was done he did a exceptional job of cleaning up after words. Were still amazed that we went from the old bathtub to a new walk-in shower in one day. Bath Fitter is the only way to go. I'm giving 5 stars mostly due to the conduct of our installer Tony Xayrath...I can't really say much about the product itself because I can't use it for 24 hrs. However, Tony was so professional, polite & clean (didn't smell like cigarette smoke as have many other "professionals" I've had work on my home in the past). It was truly refreshing to have somebody genuinely care about your home and leave it in the condition it was when he got here. He took his time and was careful not to cause damage. I am writing this review because I am committing my lost day of work to the installation of my new shower .. I wish bath fitter could say the same ...I took off an entire day of work to be contacted at 800 that my installer called in sick and I needed to be re-scheduled... I take my job and work very seriously unlike the staff at bath fitters whom seem to think calling in sick on a Friday is standard workplace occurrence. Of course the only manager who can assist me is in "training" all day . So I showed up at the office for resolution of my issues . I was basically shoved out the door saying they can't do anything for me and that half their staff is out sick.... If you have had problems with illness why would'nt you call your customer prior to install day to reschedule ? Response : because they might show up ... Well I was FOR sure taking the day off so that is inconsiderate. I was told that it might be hard to get an installer out on a Saturday because they have families. I do too!!!!!.... That I have to provide for by working and sacrificing a day of my wages is ok apparently. I was also told my signed contract states they have the right to cancel my appt whenever they wish ...lie.... It does not state that .. The bath fitter brochure and mission statement quotes "Our team includes a group of personable and friendly customer service representative who are available to field you questions comments and concerns. Customer concerns are handled with care . We don't rest until the issue has been resolved to our customers satisfaction . " I have been brushed off ...delayed ...and my concerns seem as though are not of concern to them and the individuals who can assist me are unavailable and too important to deal with the customers whom their business is built on . The integrity of your business is mirror by the integrity of your employees and their work ethic ...of which thus far is lacking.... I choose bath fitter even though I felt they were pricey and not cost effective I was ensured quality of the product and effortless swift reliable installation would be worth it . I am awaiting satisfactory resolution to my issue Update: I was contacted by the manager Rob at 500 on Friday ...who in the course of our conversation said that I was embarrassing myself for wanting the service promised to me delivered ....I asked him how he would feel if our roles were reversed how would e feel losing a day of work and wages ...he said he would make the best of it and enjoy it .... No wonder his runs a staff and business without any concern for it's customers schedule and convienence.... He offered a Saturday install that will waive the usual 250 dollar fee . I signed a contract that binds me to receiving the product and service of this company. Of which I will honor because unlike this company I do what I say I will do. The only reason I chose this company was it's guarantee of ease of 1 day installation with no inconvenience or hassle . False advertising to say the least Update : I have been offered the 2 installs for both my bathrooms scheduled now for the Saturday ...(they obviously don't trust their employees to come to work on a regular work day) which now means I will not have the ability to use my showers for minimum 24 hours ... Update: 10/26 The product was installed and looks great however for the increased price and insulting disrespectful treatment it is beyond not worth it. I was messaged from corporate regarding my review (as you can see) and was never contacted beyond the scheduling of my installation. Worst mistake ever, the caulking was coming off on the 3wk already. We've only had this for a lil over a yr & we've had so many technicians come out to replace the caulking in our shower & my kids bathtub. It stains easily, you can already see rust. There a rip off. In contract they say one thing & once It's financed they want to add all these other fees. read more

I found the sales practice somewhat deceptive. They failed to mention that the replacement plumbing would only provide half the water pressure of the old nozzle. That's like taking your car in for a new set of fenders only to find out they put in an engine with half the horse power. They said this was because of new regulations. Maybe, but this was not disclosed before the sale, and new nozzles are not a part of the tub anyway. I don't like surprises like this, which should have been disclosed up front. Also, the product is overpriced in my opinion. I will say that the replacement tub is good as expected, so far. We'll see how the surface holds up in a year. read more

Bath Fitter is very expensive for what you get. Basically it's like Legos snapped together but in the form of a shower stall. Their technician dropped a heavy hammer and chipped the porcelain on our tub during our install. He was working and talking on his cell phone at the same time. He was gossiping about other customers by the way. He then lied and said the damage was already there. Eventually Bath Fitters send someone out to fix it. In less than a year the paint they put over the chips fell off. I spent a month trying to get Bath Fitter to send someone else out. They told me they were trying really hard. I eventually called tub refinishing company on my own and in 3 days had it fixed. Overpriced, dishonest and horrible customer service. We've had tons of work done on our home and this is the worst experience we had. read more

Brandon T installed two showers for us and did a great job! Unfortunately, one of them had some dry rot and termites, so we had to take care of that before he could finish work on it. I don't blame him or Bath Fitter for that since we knew there was a high probability of dry rot. The termites were a surprise, but we wouldn't have found out if he hadn't tore out the walls and found it. Bath Fitter could probably make a ton more money if they also had contractors to take care of these type of issues. As is, we're very happy with the shower and tub/shower they put in. Joni was also a great sales rep who doesn't do a hard sell and gave us a good deal. The custom door guys will come tomorrow to measure the master shower. I'll post pics of the finished products after it's completely done (ETA 2-3 weeks). read more

This rating doesn't reflect the product since there wasn't an opportunity to use their product. We had an estimate at a rental property and was given the opportunity to receive $450 discount for a $5000 job. I wasn't ready to commit but when after considering using this service/product I contacted the sales rep a week later and asked if they would be willing to give me the discount and they refused. They gave me this non-sense - this is just a snippet of the BS. " I'd love to offer all our customers lots of discounts, but, we just don't have a large profit margin built into our jobs. It does cost us time and money to continue to go back to customers, so although we do offer very good and competitive pricing, we do offer a discount for those customers who decide to move forward with us on our first meeting. If we were to give our customers a discount on the second, third or more visits, then we are going back on our word from what we tell our customers on our first meeting. We don't want to start out a relationship with our customers by going against something we initially told them." So, since they're willing to loose a $5000 just over $450, fine, their loss - since I have other properties and many family member also with property, it's a big loss. And then, I keep getting sales people calling me about my estimate and if there's something they can do to get my business...geez, some internal communication would be good. I purchased a house 4 years ago and the tub looked nice when I bought it, but I came to find out that the tub was not new, but they had painted over it, the old tub was resurfacing, looking idirty and old an nasty, very embarrassing for our guess to use. I contacted Bath Fitter's for a quote, Sales Consultant O. Solaru came over and gave us an overview of the company what Bath Fitter's could do for us, he didn't try to over sell us, listened to what we were looking for, which was a tub liner. We were very pleased with his service, we purchased a bath liner. When we met with Sales Consultant Olo Solaru on 10-8-16, he said our liner should be ready for install on November 3, but it might be done earlier, and they would give me a call, Wow!! they called and we set a appointment. Today is 10-21-16 we have our new tub liner, all clean and new, bathroom looks great, now that's service.Our Installer B. Trammell, was great!!!, treated our home as if it was his own, with care and respect, placing liners so not to dirty or damage our hardwood floors, cleaning up, leaving no mess for me to clean up. Installer Trammell explained step by step what he was doing (I asked a lot of questions) when he finished he explain how to care for our new tub liner. I also spoke with customer service technician Veronica, she was great and helpful. This was a big decision for my husband and I, but now that it is done, we feel confident we made the right choice and choose the right company. I would recommend them, the service was great, thank you Bath Fitters Staff, O. Solaru, B. Trammell, Veronica for making this a pleasant experience. Bath Fitter would not give me a ballpark price over the phone...I asked, "is it $500 or $5000?". Steve insisted that he knew nothing about pricing and was just a scheduler. He pushed me into scheduling an appt today (10/3) at 3:00. Steve also said he would call Friday to confirm our next day appt which never happened. We interrupted our plans for this inconvenient mid-Saturday appt and no one called or showed! Their website says they're open until 5 pm on Saturdays. No answer! We will be calling a more reliable and reputable company. read more

Remodeling is messy and stressful unless you use these guys. They were fast (one day to convert a shower into a stand up shower) and did an impeccable job. Phillip McKinney was our expert installer. He's been with the company 10 years and it shows in his craftsmanship and professional demeanor. They also rolled out tarp to protect my floor and swept upon its removal.
