They do not get you prepaired for dental surgery by providing you with all of the things you need (paper work) ahead of time. After word there is NO, Nada, zip follow up. I was going to a corporate type dental office for years and each time I went they found work they said needed to be done (even though none of my teeth were sensitive) . Then they told me I needed three crowns so I had an out of town dentist look at the xrays and his opinion was the crowns weren't necessary. So I switched to Battle Ground Smiles and they haven't recommended any additional work (even though that's where they could make the most money I'm sure). My recent visit showed some dark areas which I'm sure my former dentist would say needed to be drilled and filled but BG Smiles dentist said they would look at it again in 6 months and in the meantime if I flossed that area really well further work might not be necessary. I really appreciate that they don't over-prescribe dental work and so anything they do recommend I'm sure is really necessary. read more

I was seen by their endodontist who recommended an extraction. I called to schedule the extraction because I was infected and getting more painful. They said I needed a new referral. These people don't care and will leave a person in pain with a tooth abscess because they can't bother to follow their own treatment plans. read more

I ended up in ER with a cracked and infected tooth because of this place. I made an emergency appointment because I was in extreme pain with toothache. The dentist would not listen to me and kept telling me to floss more. I continually told her it was not flossing. It was an extreme ache in my tooth, but she would not listen two weeks later I was in the ER. The tooth had cracked and was severely infected. I ended up losing the tooth. My husband and I haven't been to a dentist in years, due to life and the general unpleasantness of dental visits, we each saw a different doctor and both came out with the same summary of our experience - Battle Ground Smiles was the most comfortable experience we've had. Dr. Ganji and Dr. Yu gave us thorough explanations of what we were looking at on our images as well as anything they were going to do during our visit. They even tried to keep our faces clean while they did the cleanings, occasionally dabbing stray water away, which we greatly appreciated and hadn't ever had done before. We were frequently checked in with to make sure we were not experiencing any abnormal pain or discomfort, as well. I can't speak to the comparison of cost as this is our first dentist in WA, however dental care is generally more expensive than other medical care and that was our experience, which is hard to complain about when the care was this good. I've been overcharged MULTIPLE times, had a payment plan that's been payed off and they have still charged me monthly ($608, still waiting on a refund) even though it's been paid off for months. They have added charges for services I haven't had, or overcharged $50-$100 on services that had been preformed. read more

Billing for "Oral Hygiene Instructions?" $88?!? Their explanation, any time the dentist or hygienist gives instructions on care for teeth or gums, they can change you for talking to you. I'm on vacation from CA and decided to stop at Battle Ground Smiles to have #19 first moler looked at as it has been hurting. After the dentist inspected my tooth and informed me I needed a crown I was delighted however, here comes the receptionist and informed me that it will be $2,900 dollars and some change. I was shocked and promptly left. I immediately called my dentist in CA and was informed that his office charges $1,200 for a high end crown. I called another dentist in battle ground and his price was $1,150 for a crown. When I informed the front desk I'm not going to pay that amount a woman steps out from behind a wall and informs me the dentist has a payment plan..... she reminded me of a "closer" when looking at a time share. I had been a regular patient at Battleground Smiles Dentistry, but no more. At my previous appointment 7 months ago, they agreed to see me in the middle of the COVID-19 stuff. I had to come in the back door, because of my medical issues which preclude me from being able to wear a mask. I appreciated their accomodation, which was in step with the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Washington Dept of Health guidelines, that allow for facemask exemptions. They scheduled a follow up appointment for me on Labor Day, which had to be rescheduled. I talked to the receptionist about getting the first appointment of the day, so they could bring me in the back door like last time. No problem. I got an email which requested that I enter my health information into their Epic EMR, which I did in painstaking detail. This included my recovery from COVID-19 this summer, and further damage to my lungs since I saw them last. The first inkling that there might be a problem was last week, when another receptionist called with a courtesy reminder. I commented about using the back door like last time, since I would be unable to wear a mask. She matter of factly stated that there are no exceptions to the their face mask policy. I reminded her of the DOH guideliness for facemask exemptions, and the ADA, and requested that she check with the dentist in my case. She agreed to call me back if there was going to be a problem serving me. I heard nothing more until... Today was the day. I showed up this morning 15 minutes early, when I was finally informed by the dentist that they would not serve me unless I complied with their policy and wore a face mask. I reminded him of the ADA and the DOH guidelines, but to no avail. He said his attorneys would not allow it. I guess the lawyers are in charge of clinical care here. It appears that they do not cater to people who are medically vulnerable. If you are 20 and have no health problems, or if you are satisfied with status quo/mediocre care, go to Battle Ground Smiles Dentistry. However, don't count on them to be there for you when you are vulnerable. To add insult to injury, my non-healthcare today cut into my bottom line. I am a sole proprietor business owner. I have to block out time to get healthcare. They could have let me know a long time ago that they wouldn't serve me. They have known of my situation for 7 months now. It doesn't appear that they are a standup kind of place. The good news is that I have extra time this morning, and writing this review didn't have to be wedged into otherwise scheduled time. read more

Wonderful office with very kind knowledgeable staff. With prior dental experience of working in the field I am very picky. The dentist was amazing, sweet and knows her stuff. had a root canal by someone they have contracted by the name Ishmael Hassan. he was extremely unprofessional and cold, he hit me in my face and almost busted a random front tooth with a tool, not a single apology. i felt the root canal pain and communicated that and he didn't seem to care. i don't think he numbed me right or enough, and i was definitely in pain. thinking about it now brings the anxiety i had during those hours. he made remarks about "coming up short in his work today" and i felt extremely vulnerable in the position i was in under his care in the chair like that. he boasted and made jokes about "getting rich like a celebrity, like Lil Durk" and all this other egotistic conversation, but never a single kind gesture towards myself. i won't lie i am definitely scarred after that encounter. i felt almost like a test subject while getting root canal. to be honest the entire thing was negative and had really weird moments. they messed up my x-rays and made me take at least 8 x-rays back to back because they "couldn't find" my files. still made me take more before i left. the assistant made a remark about me not telling her at first that i was allergic to latex, but it's states already on MyChart that i was. i don't know i felt so off and couldn't wait to get out of that building. front office staff were very kind, never going back. thanks for $2k bill though read more

What a great office with a staff that works so well together. The office is very CLEAN! (which is very important to me) I had the same dentist for 18 years (retired) and have been searching for a new dentist for a few years. I have tried a few and just never felt it was a good fit. I can now say I have found a new dentist. Dr. Sarrami is so AMAZING!! She is kind, gentle, professional and an absolute "SHOT ANGEL" (Barely felt it). I love that she asked me to step in her office to get to know each other before we got started. Once she knew my fears, she explained them to Allison, (Who is also AMAZING) Allison went above and beyond to make the process as easy as possible. I also really appreciated the Benefits Coordinator coming in and explaining my benefits and telling me what my balance would be.
