Because I am skeptical of programs promising miracles of success I waited a few months before deciding to give the BSA Sports Lab Training a try. My son has been with the program for four weeks and we are in shock of the increased vertical and strength gains he has shown. So as a parent that is aiding in their child growth and success, I can honestly say this program is for ALL ATHLETES... AND YES PARENTS we are still athletes too, just a bit wiser on how far our bodies can go than our children :-) For those that may be unsure about validity of posts, I am not being paid or seeking any discount for this review. So you are welcome to meet and talk with me about the program, my son and I are there every Tuesday and Friday @6. We are planning on doing the program for 10 weeks, so you're welcome to see how I went from a child that could barely touch the backboard. To a child that is so close to dunking that he can't stop talking about dunking in his poor dad's face.... :-(

Its leaner, stronger and healthier. When I got out of the Army I had so many issues with my ankle and knee. Jeremy has provided stretches and exercises to help provide relief and strength that I need in both. The trainers at BSA are knowledgeable, friendly and motivational. The atmosphere is fun and energetic. My son still trains with BSA as well and is now playing college football. His training with BSA has had a great impact on his strength, athleticism and abilities. The workouts are challenging and specifically designed to fit my needs and my goals. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

He asked questions that made me really think about my goals, why they were important and focus on what matters most, rather than just my jean size. In my first meeting, we covered health basics, general history and focused on injuries or areas of pain. I have a compression fracture in my neck and abdominal separation from 2 pregnancies. Dave was empathetic to my injuries but confident that he could help me. He really drilled home that all I needed to do was show up and try. In the past I would quit after a couple weeks and just blame it on whatever excuse fit but with LIFT it is different. Upon meeting Dave you will immediately feel his genuine passion for helping people become their best self. He teaches you basics that you may think you know already but he teaches you why those basics are important with daily lessons. He also helps you learn and master healthy habits that are beneficial to all aspects of your life. I have realized what I was really missing was a connection, a tribe. Classes are small and focused with varying degrees of fitness levels. I have had some major "Aha!" moments and would say the biggest change so far has been to my mental health. I go in to class groggy with thoughts & tasks spinning in my head and I leave feeling clear & light. And for that, I'm eternally grateful I clicked on LIFT and made this investment in myself. My wife found and we tried numerous places over a couple years. We were not happy with any and ran into numerous problems. My wife found Defence Lab and we decided to do their trial. We were hooked immediately. From the moment we started, we could feel the difference. When we went to classes, we could really see the care that was out into each class. Each person that leads a class does a great job of really treating everyone well and with respect but we really appreciate how they don't just treat the kids like kids but expect them to have manners, responsibility, discipline and generally behave well. But they do it in such a great way that it isn't overbearing or rough, they it in a way that the kids can grow. I think it is a real testament that you can see how much the various students progress over time. Everyone that sticks with it really improves but not just in martial arts or in being able to protect themselves but also as a person. We have seen many kids who have really been growing out of their shells and it is very nice to see. Lastly, this is like a big family. There's quite a few people going here but it is always friendly. You can't help but make friends. It is a very healthy environment, even if you aren't the one taking the classes, I genuinely feel you benefit by just coming here. I really appreciate everyone who works to keep this place running and well organized.

They aren't just trying to sell memberships, unlike THRC. The classes don't feel repetitive, unlike Orange Theory. It's not overcrowded, unlike SMAC.
