I used to love this place. After two bad experiences, today was my last try. Their machine was broken down so they were charging a straight $50 for a handwash and detail. I was in a bit of a rush, so I tipped when they were done and left. When I got home I realized my care interior looked almost as dirty as when I brought it in and the outside of it had splotches all over it. This time I was so pissed that it happened AGAIN that I drove back. They were shocked I had just gotten it cleaned from them when an employee who hadn't previously seen my car, saw what it looked like. I was there a total of 2 hours today. seems like several of the employees here hate their jobs, because they sure have zero attention to detail. If it had happened one time that would be one thing but THREE times is NOT ok! So many other places to go, I will never patronize this place again. read more

They went above and beyond! I was greeted so pleasantly and when I told him that I had some remnants of adhesive from a roll of construction tape that I couldn't remove from my back seat, he said "we will take a look at it and see if we can remove it with no additional charge". And they were able to remove it and the seat looks back to normal! The whole car looks great! Well the older gentleman that checked us in was great. Very friendly and informative. The rest of the staff left tons to be desired. Very slow to even get the car into the wash. Once the car was done washing it sat in the lot damn near dried by the wind. The individual who was drying it was super distracted and cloudy focus on getting it dried. After 1.5 hours we finally got the car back. Th outside was in okay clean condition. The inside was trash. Nothing was wiped down the widow was streaked all over. Very disappointed in the 38$ we spent when we could have done it better ourselves. read more

I had been coming here for many years. It has now been about 1 & 1/2 years. I should have checked the reviews before I came today. Also the car wash was almost empty. Something I had not seen before on a week end and a beautiful 73 deg, The woman was extremely rude and said I had to choose between a $35 wash or Basic wash because she wanted to close at 3. At least an hour later, with very few cars, I drove out, The interior, including windows, was not clean..AT ALL. Drove about 20 miles specifically for interior cleaning. I called ahead before leaving, and their automated phone system said they were open until 4:00 PM. When I arrived around 2:30 PM, they were already closed because it was slightly overcast. If they're going to close early, the very least they can do is update their automated phone message. Sadly, I think this place is going out of business. Since the new owner has taken over, they seem to be having issues keeping the carwash running. I went 3 days in a row around 11am, it was foggy outside, but no rain...they were closed. No indication that they were closed, just gone...no one there. When I finally got someone to answer, they said they were only doing detailing services. Good thing I never bought the Carwash pack, I'd be holding a useless book of carwashes. Another great business ruined by poor management. So sad! When they are open, they do fantastic work...or did fantastic work. RIP! read more

There are 11 cars waiting for the after wash cleaning and ONE worker doing the job. I brought his to the attention of the staff and was told, that's the owner. My guess is that the owner doesn't care that their customers have to wait over an hour to get the service they paid for. This is not my first experience here like this. I desperately needed my interior windows washed. I can never get them clean and streak free like the car was does. I do quick quack often and every few months splurge for a full service wash for the windows. First time here as it's becoming harder to find a full service wash. Pretty standard wait time. $25 for a standard no frills wash seemed steep but figured they'd do a great job for that price. Thanks for the $2 off Nope. I drove my car back to the vacuums and had them remove the mats and vacuum again I even did one side myself. They didn't wipe down or vacuum the center console either. Green soapy stripe residue is all over the back. I had to wipe it off my white car when I got home. I basically paid $27 for my windows to be clean because that's all that was done well. read more

Take your business someplace else. These people don't care I've used them in the past and they've done OK work. I took my wife's car today to get washed and I watched as multiple other cars got finished before mine. My car was in front of all theirs by the way, I asked the girl that was in charge and she said that they were all there before me that's not possible if my car was in front all the others. I really wanted to give Bauer's a higher rating since it's local small business (unlike some of the other chain car washes nearby) but unfortunately, they deserve 2, maybe 2.5 stars, max. I went as soon as they opened so I had hardly any wait and they got right to work on my vehicle, but the lack of attention-to-detail in their detailing job honestly--sucked. To be fair, my vehicle had a fair amount of dirt and sand on the outside and inside from a recent beach trip. But there is still a good amount of sand on my passenger seat and floor. I don't expect perfection for a $40 all-service detail job of a sandy car, but I don't expect to see a ton of sand left either. The windshield on the inside was left with a lot of streaks too. I tried to take a pic, so look carefully. I will say the outside wash is pretty good except there is still a lot of sand on the undercarriage (which was specifically supposed to be washed). If I'm in a bind and my car is hecka dirty, I might try them again, but otherwise I doubt I will return. read more

I've been a loyal customer for years, but I'm starting to take my business elsewhere if management isn't changed. The head manager (I've heard him called Al, but I'm not sure that's his name) is very rude to his employees, and I don't think we're gonna do well because he doesn't know how to manage. Just yesterday, 11/21/25, I went around 3pm, 2 hours before closing. There were almost no employees working. The person who sold me the wash was the cashier, and the person who vacuumed the car (typically, I see about 3-4 people working). I thought it was weird. Still, I ignored it. I went up front to see my car getting done; only one employee was working on the vehicles. (I typically see a group of around 4-6 people doing cars) The guy looked miserable and overworked. And last month I went on a weekend morning it was around 11:am and the guy who's typically the cashier was the sales person I asked him" they have you selling today instead of cashiering" he replied to me " no I'm covering lunch" I went inside and no one was at the register three more cars showed up about the same Time as me the guy who helped me proceed to help the rest of the customers and yet no one was there to help me at the register I had to wait for the guy to come inside and help me with the register I told him "wow they really have you doing it are you guys short handed today" he looked at me and told me " no I typically cover lunch like this" after I payed I sat inside near the vending machine I seen the guy go back outside and started vacuuming the cars by himself this place went too new ownership and since that happened it's gone downhill more and more read more

Drove there twice recently in 2 different weeks on 2 different week days and both times they were already closed at 3 pm. They say they're open until 5 pm. I've had my cars washed there many times. They do a good job. It just seems like, lately, you can't count on them to be there when they say they will be. That's disappointing. ​Very very disappointed. Had to come home and clean my door panels along with finish vacuuming. They do not put seats down or an effort to make your vehicle how they would want theirs. In and out is how it seems to be ran. I did not even get the cheapest package but got the cheapest quality. I don't know what happened to this place but it has gone downhill. I took my car in for a wash a few weeks ago. I haven't been there in a long time. I paid for the highest level wash (around $50). The floor mats weren't cleaned , the windshield wasn't cleaned on the inside, the area above the back seat wasn't wiped down. Like someone said in another review. I have been here before and they did a wonderful job in the past. However, this time I went and paid for the gold car wash and I was not happy with the results. There were leaves on the floor, the car was barely vacuumed, and the inside wasn't wiped down well. I said something about it and the guy then told me that I can pull my car up and use the vacuum. That was frustrating to me considering that was their job, not mine. Then the lady that works at the front came up to me and I explained my frustrations and all she did was say sorry about that. A place with good customer service would have offered a free car wash or to fix what wasn't properly done. Staff are nice and helpful, but the business is woefully understaffed; at least on this day. My car sat in the sun for 30 minutes after going through the wash before someone started working on it, then It took them just under 30 minutes to complete it. They did a good job but many water spots remained on the windows and body from sitting in the sun. read more

For the price you can beat this place in Citrus Heights. Is it the best? No, but is it ever? The main question is does it get it done? Yes it does! It's far and few between now to find a full service car wash and so this will now be my go to. Quick Qak, etc...great if you have mobility to vacuum and wipe down all crevices of your car. Absolute worst customer service. I basically paid them to ruin my car. They stripped the window trim finish off my year and a half old car, it's ruined and they won't take responsibility. My black car had water spots on the body and window of passenger side of the vehicle. Regular washing and using a microfiber hand towel to buff out water spots would not work. So I took it to Bauer's to have it professionally removed. What I got was the trim off my all blacked out vehicle which chrome patches exposed where they stripped the finish. I only noticed it once I got home since it was on the passenger side. I immediately called the business and the manager requested I return to inspect. She argued with me immediately, stating that it was already like that, the car is a year and a half old. I parked the car in my garage 80% of the time. This is not wear and tear, sun damage or anything like that. They used a product on the car and it stripped the finish and they are saying I can't prove that it wasn't like this prior. Well they can't prove it was there. We are at a he said she said. I work hard for everything I have, I struggle as a single mother and take good care of what I have for this business to basically call me a liar. read more
