We're going with 4.5 stars today but there's no way we can't round it up to the five (since we can't do 1/2's) because of Amber and Hannah and their excellent customer service. Today was our second visit but the first to include food. We are in town for the week and stopped by for coffee three days ago and bantered a bit with the woman working the counter whose name we found out today is Amber. She's so awesome! I hope that business knows just how amazing she is and treats her accordingly. That first day we only ordered coffee and really liked it and the banter lifted us up a bit so that was cool. Today we went in for breakfast and coffee. She remembered us and everything unique about that first encounter. It was a good feeling after a crazy few days so that was wonderful. We also met Hannah who made the excellent coffees we had. We ordered a croque monsieur with an egg on top, a beirock (not sure I'm spelling that right), quiche and a morning bun. Everything was delicious! The beirock had eggs, cheese and bacon in it in a fully closed bun. That bun had such a good flavor that I would only order that next time. The quiche was creamy and smooth but the crust wasn't good. Our daughter who lives here and loves this place, especially their quiche (she says it's better than mine, lol) says the crust usually isn't as bad as it was today. For me, it tasted like it was microwaved (and maybe it was) and that taste and texture is not good. The filling was so tasty though. The morning bun was delicious. I don't normally love sweets for breakfast but it was yummy. The croque was fan-frickin-tastic and while Randy says he's had one that's better, it's not much better and he absolutely loved it. We all had tastes of it and loved it. We will absolutely be back next time we're in town and recommend you try this place out too. If you do, please tell Amber Bobo, Coco and Momo say HI! read more

Had the Cadburry cold brew which was delicious! And super friendly staff - great energy and ambience. Food was fine but my disappointment was that what I got was nothing like the photo that was posted online. I was expecting full pieces of smoked salmon on top of my bagel and some capers. But all I got was a premixed cream cheese with small chunks of salmon and no capers... and for $13.50? That's very pricy for what you're actually getting - a bagel and schmear. Maybe removing old pictures or updating the description would be helpful. read more

A MUST stop for coffee! Whenever I travel between the west and east sides of Washington, I always stop at this coffee shop in the Pybus Public Market if it's not too out of the way. The staff here are super friendly and they always seem to get my drink just right! If you want to sit down, there are some table and chairs that you can do so or, feel free to walk around and enjoy the little local merchant stores and restaurants. Their prices here are also very reasonable and fair for a good coffee shop! Highly recommended! read more

If you are in the Hilton next door, so your self a favor and take a 5 minute walk over for breakfast. They are open from 8am. Even if you are in any of the hotels in Wenatchee or East Wenatchee, I would drive over for breakfast. One of the best breakfasts I've ever had "on the road". We were driving the Cascade Loop and spent a night in Wenatchee, having picked the Hilton because it was right next to the Pybus Public Market. Reading the reviews on Yelp, we picked Cafe Columbia for breakfast. The avocado toast was delicious. It was the bread! Firm enough, toasted enough so that the avocado did not make it soggy, and the light spices and salt in the avocado made the flavor pretty special. The included salad was fresh with sweet, tasty tomatoes. The hard boiled egg was perfect with a slightly runny yolk the way my wife likes it. I had the Croque Monsieur, and it was one of the best I've had. The cheese was perfectly done. Parmesan on top, toasted enough to be crisp and gamey. The unctuous filling ofham, gruyere and bechemel was perfect without making the bread soggy. Topped of with a latte using oat milk, it was one of the best breakfasts I've had on a roadtrip. read more

On Saturday the husband and I were out running errands and wanted to pick up something for lunch. We headed to Pybus and ended up at Cafe Columbia. I picked the Columbia house salad that came with apples, candied pecans, blue cheese and a vinaigrette dressing. Husband got pulled in by the treats on display and ordered the lemon meringue tart. The salad was fresh and a balanced combination of sweet and savory. Delicious. the lemon tart was presented beautifully and was delightful to enjoy. A crisp tart crust, filled with tangy lemon curd and topped with a toasted meringue, perfect. The ambiance was also an added bonus, light and friendly with a chatter around from the open market. My favorite spot to grab breakfast or lunch. Highly recommend the breakfast biscuit sandwich with egg, bacon, and cheese or the grain bowl if you're looking for something healthy an delicious. service: despite the influx of many people, the service still seems to be great! the cashier took the the time to answer our questions and was patient with our big order (3 meals and 3 drinks). everyone here was very kind and i even noticed a male waiter bring a plastic bag to a lady whose produce bag had ripped- which was notably kind and says a lot about the people working here. they were also very quick with pumping out our drinks and food! food and drink: for the drinks, i would skip out on ordering the coffee... i'm someone who prefers strong coffee taste, but the drinks that i tried dont seem to have the coffee taste i was looking for. i got a 16 oz mocha and it tasted like chocolate milk, which was yummy, but there was no hint of coffee. my parents got the drip coffee and americano, and they both said that the drinks tasted watered down with no aromatic coffee taste. for our meals, we got the club sandwich, the BLT (cashier recommended), and the lox bagel! the club sandwich was huge and looked amazing. we had to get a togo box for it. i had tbe BLT with sourdough and a side of greens! super refreshing but you can't go wrong with a BLT. i only finished half and was full! i didn't get to try the lox bagel, but the portion size looked pretty reasonable. ambiance: located inside a marketplace, the ambiance was lively and the inside was surprisingly cool and clean. we found seating for three inside pretty quickly despite the amount of people. read more

Came to the market before 10, which means there were only a few businesses open. Luckily Cafe Columbia was open and serving up all sorts of coffee, treats, and sandwiches. Good options for coffee or tea, plain or fancy. The service was great. We sat inside and were brought our order quickly. The sandwiches were beautiful and delicious. This is one of those restaurants that you get the sense that you'll be happy with anything your order. So we took a chance and ordered pretty randomly, and were right. I got the crispy pork belly bowl and he got pulled pork sandwich, and they have seasonal drinks so we got a cloud cover cold brew. We were originally planning to get fast food to save time as we rolled through town on a toad trip but after discovering the Pybus Public Market on Yelp, we quickly reworked our plans. Cafe Columbia was a much healthier alternative to our original plans. Before diving into my order, I want to give props to the lovely young woman working the counter and offering sweet hospitality. I shared with her my seafood allergy and she was very helpful and thorough in making certain my order was safe. As for COVID safety precautions, all staff were wearing face masks and social distancing was enforced. I ordered one of their newer bowl options which was vegetarian and filled with farro, avocado, carrots, sweet potatoes, cilantro, sesame seeds and a sesame ginger vinaigrette. It was packed to the rim with flavor! I left taking notes of how I would recreate this dish when we return home from our road trip. read more

After missing breakfast at the hotel we were on a mission to find a breakfast spot that was not a chain and had good Yelp ratings. And so we found Cafe Columbia. I had bagel with cream cheese, lox, capers and red onions. It was as good as it could possibly be. It's one of my favorite breakfasts whether at home or at a restaurant and this one was perfectly on point. My friend ordered the avocado toast. It came with a soft-ish boiled egg and a small salad with vinaigrette dressing. She also said is was basically perfect. We both ordered coffee. Me; an iced latte, her; a hot Americano. We just ate for the first time at Cafe Columbia. It was really good. I had the pork belly bowl. It had so much flavor going on and it was filling. My husband had the breakfast wrap with sausage. He enjoyed it and managed to finish the entire wrap, which was huge. Next time we are in town, we will definitely come back. I can't wait to try more from their menu. read more

This place is located in a food court on the riverfront. It can get pretty busy, especially on weekends, but the wait isn't too bad. The staff are always pretty friendly. The coffee is somewhat basic, I wasn't too big on their espresso, but give it a pass. I've been here a few times and the food items are usually not bad. The salmon eggs benedict and breakfast wraps are decent. The breakfast biscuit was surprisingly bland and very messy to eat. However, their almond danish was amazing! Cafe Columbia is located at the Pybus Public Market. I stopped by here for some breakfast and ordered the Breakfast Croissant for $8.50 and the Veggie Breakfast Wrap at $7. The veggie came with a selection of roasted root vegetables, specifically sweet potatoes & beets, which was very well prepared and delicious. The eggs were nicely scrambled and seasoned. I went for Pepper Jack Cheese for a little zestiness, and they put a house roasted tomato spread which was very tasty. You can choose between whole wheat or spinach wrap. The breakfast croissant was quite good as well. They bake their own croissants and it was a good one. It was buttery and flaky but with enough firmness to hold up to the ingredients of the sandwich. The bacon in the sandwich was great. It had a good thickness about it which allowed for a good chew and lots of flavor. The eggs were light and fluffy, the provolone cheese melted, and the it came with the same tasty house tomato spread. When I come back to my hometown of Wenatchee, WA I am in awe of the newly added Pybus Market. My favorite place for a breakfast treat is Cafe Columbia. Probably because they have hot breakfast items along with numerous mouth watering pastries, muffins and scones. This visit we ordered the Breakfast Strata and the Breakfast Croissant. The croissant was buttery and crisp (not too crispy) filled with fresh breakfast ingredients. My mouth is watering literally as I describe it. The Strata was so impressive. Layers of the house made focaccia with a custard like consistency and melted cheddar and ham. We also picked up a couple of cinnamon rolls, an almond berry gazette, a slice of carrot cake and a turtle brownie to go. We love Cafe Columbia it reminds us of home. read more

Nestled within the Pybus Market building is this little cafe. Friendly staff and the goods all look amazing in the cafe. The kids opted for a PBJ which comes with some ruffles. If you have younger kids, I would recommend splitting the meal as the halves are fairly large. Pretty good for $4.75. I opted for the Columbia salad which was plentiful and filled with the toppings. I asked for the balsamic dressing but ended up with blue cheese which actually paired really well with the salad. Of course you cant visit a cafe that makes it own pastries so I grabbed a cookie for the munchkins which was good and had a cool design. Next time we are back if it is still sunny (and warmer) this would make a perfect picnic lunch pick up. Give this place a try if you are looking for a nice healthy and tasty lunch. I have not had any regular food this is for the pastries. The lemon bars are to die for and raspberry cream pastry is wonderful. The only bad thing I had was the online icing cookie. The icing had little taste but what you could taste was more like Crisco shortening. The cookie was also very hard. All said I will go here occasionally to pickup a few pastries. read more
