I used to love this place, but wow - their prices are ridiculous now! I believe it's under new ownership. I just mailed a large usps flat rate box, which the post office charges $24.75 for, and instead they charged me 39.02 PLUS 1.37 to use a debit card. So they added $15 to the price of one small box! I'm all about supporting the small business, but not if I'm getting screwed while doing so. Won't be back.... read more

This is an open letter to the new owner of Bay Area Postal. I have asked Natalie to ask you to call me and I have asked the Manager (do not know her name) to have you call me. I have yet to hear from you. This has been over the last 3 weeks. I subscribe to 3 magazines and have not had a magazine in my mail box since October 2021. One of your employees is taking my magazines. I pay for and subscribe to these magazines. Your employee is stealing from me. I would appreciate hearing from you. I can't imagine you appreciating someone stealing the clothes that you have for sale there - and I don't appreciate your employee stealing from me. This has already been reported to the Postmaster. If I don't hear from you, I will be tempted to file a claim in small claims court for all of the magazines that have been stolen from me. My box # is 167. Please call me. read more

The workers here are now extremely rude. I have never had problems with the way people treat you here before, but something has changed. Also, don't return any Amazon Prime returns here anymore. They now charge. It's not much of a charge, but the fact that they were extremely rude is the main reason you should just stay away. "You can go to the UPS store in Friendswood." "You can call UPS to confirm." "We COULD charge up to 10 dollars." All said with sarcastic sass. And then as I left, they shouted "Have a nice day." with as much sarcasm as they could muster. I tried to drop off a small prepaid UPS package and the store wanted to charge me a $1 for the package. I told the lady that I have dropped off numerous packages in the past and I was never charged. She said that UPS charged them a fee for pickup. I got home and called UPS to confirm and they said that they do not charge ANY fees to any store who is designated as a UPS access point. It's really unfortunate they lied and tried to scam a customer for $1. They completely lost all my business and have no desire to go there again. read more

Very disappointed. I went in to get notary service. While there I saw that FedEx was picking up packages so I figured I'd go ahead and ship the form, a single sheet of paper, as well. While setting up the shipping I was told next day would only be $15. That sounded fair as I knew flat rate for an envelope that size was only $5 at FedEx. Granted flat rate wouldn't be next day, which excused the triple in cost. In the rush I trusted that what I was being told as truth and didn't check the receipt. That was a big mistake. Now I find out that they scheduled it for fedex ground. Meaning, it won't be there until Fri at the earliest. If I'm going to pay a premium for convenience I expect it to be just that! Long story short..... Make sure they repeat, more than once, the expected delivery date and read over your receipt Before you leave the store. Once it goes out it can't be changed by much. read more

I stopped by this neighborhood postal shop to drop off a UPS envelope to be picked up. My packages was complete, the label, the packaging etc, all they had to do was put it in their UPS pile. Informed me they charge A DOLLAR for that "service". Needless to say I took my business elsewhere and will NEVER patronize them again. Unbelievable! It's not the dollar, it's the principle. This place always has extraordinary customer service. I've been here about 1/2 dozen times the past couple months to run errands from getting something notarized to sending out my wedding invites. Plus, they have a lot of cool little items in the store to purchase that make for a nice random gift for someone. If you aren't a UPS provider, you should take the UPS sign off of your storefront. Charging $1.00 per box for simple drop off is ridiculous when you advertise UPS in your store window. I will never shop or ship there again and I will most definitely share your shipping policy with my Friendswood/Webster friends and coworkers. I was in the neighborhood & needed to FAX something. The shop is really quaint. They provide all the services you would expect and they have cards & gifts . I found the cutest book for my granddaughter & a nice card for my daughter. Really nice selection of gifts . The lady that sent my FAX had the papers turned face down & they came out blank- I'm pretty sure she was new. Just the first day gitters or something. I'll go back if I'm in the area. read more

They workers are a bunch of useless bodies. I came in one time to ask them why my package said deliver but I never got the package. And I was told to call the person in charge but he was out for lunch. I spent a week calling the place with no luck. This is one of the nicest non-post office mailing stores I have been to. The staff is helpful and always friendly--short lines too. I go here for photocopies and whenever I have to send anything big by mail. The shop is well-decorated, and the shop has a bunch of small gifts. In effect, it feels more like a gift shop than a mailing store. They have a bunch of Tervis Tumbler gifts. Overall, it is a more pleasant experience than going down to the post office. read more

I came here with a last-minute printing emergency - I needed to print something from the Internet on the way to an appointment and my apartment complex's printer wasn't working. I was in a bit of a panic when I happened to drive by this place and asked if I could use their computer to print my document. The owner was very friendly and let me use their computer. The cost was something like $1.10 and I only had a credit card (there is a $2 minimum for cards). I looked around for something else to buy to bring my total to $2 and the owner said don't worry about it - I could pay him next time I came in!! Of course I ended up buying a chocolate bar because I would feel incredibly guilty not paying him! But I really appreciated the gesture and his friendliness made the whole experience pleasant. The whole process was also incredibly fast and I did not have to wait at all, like I usually do at shipping/printing centers. I will definitely return for future shipping/printing needs even though this place is farther from me than Office Depot and other mailing centers. read more
