Ismat was great! I had a TV to mount, and coming separately I had a floating cabinet to mount that hadn't arrived yet. I let them know in advance and they told me to speak to the person doing the initial install to handle the second install. The first install was flawless. Very fast service, cleaned the area when he was done. I was up sold on hiding wires, but I appreciated having the choice in the moment and getting clear pricing. The end result looks great. For the second install, Ismat said I could reach out to him when the cabinet came or the service, and he gave me a price based on the cabinet I showed him. When the cabinet arrived I texted him and we set up an appointment almost right away. Once again, great install. There were some funky sizing issues with the cabinet but Ismat modified the cabinet slightly and I paid for a little extra hardware ($50) but otherwise the price was exactly what we discussed. While I did have a few issues with the end to end experience, the overall installation was fairly smooth. I had asked for a quote for 2 TV mounts. One 77in. and another 55in. TV. The 77in. was a wall mount replacement to have something more recessed while the 55in. TV was a a typical mount with some additional in wall cable routing. I had already purchased everything and had a quote for 2 technicians for 3-4 hours for about $540. Keep in mind during this quote phase, I had tried to sent detailed links and warnings like what is on the other side of the wall and the specific wall mounts purchased with links to store page. With an initial quote settled, we settled on a date and time. General messaging was pretty prompt. There were others on yelp that was a bit quicker. I decided to go with Bay Area Wall Mounts due to high review counts and a fair initial quote. Generally, its $150 per TV wall mount, $150 per in wall wire routing, $100 for extra technician, and $50 extra for larger TV mounts ($600 - 10% = $540). On day of installation, the technicians arrived about 1.5 hours late than originally scheduled which required me to reach out to confirm the appointment date. Upon arrival, the technicians were courteous of the home, removed their shoes and asked for some details on which TVs, which rooms, where, etc. Any issues were promptly brought up. The first issue was the recessed mounting. Despite my prior communication, I was told that this recessed mounting requires an additional $150 for the mount and another $150 for in wall wiring (recall: $150 for mount, $50 for larger TV) which wasn't ideal as I was pretty upfront on what I was requesting a quote for. In total, that's an additional $300 extra that could have be captured upfront during our yelp conversation. I do want to note, I had already had in wall wiring with the prior mount (see below on why it may have been justified). But I was pretty committed on getting this completed today so I went ahead with it. There were some complications of routing some existing in wall wires to fit the recessed box into the wall in which the technician came up shaved a small piece of the stud to sneak the wire inside. This did have to move around my media console cabinet in which I wished was more careful as there's a mini-server rack inside and a few wires that were yanked on causing a minor internet outage during a WFH session. Cabinet may have had a damaged leg from the sliding vs pick and place. The 55in TV installation went super smoothly and quick. Was very clear in requesting details on how high the TV should be and how to hide wires. In the end, the trashes were taken care of. The total came out to be about $800 + tip = $900 give or take (remember, I was quoted $540 without tip so this is nearly 55% more than what I was expecting :( ) Minor nits: while the area was cleaned to some extent. There was noticeable drywall dust left on furniture, nearby equipment, and wall; however, the floor was mostly clear. It would have been a nice attention to detail to wipe those down before leaving. tl;dr: The service is mostly top notch. I would hire again but be very upfront and clear on what's being installed and double/triple check. Be very clear on how I want certain furnishing to be treated and ensure the walls and other things that are not the floor are cleaned up upon leaving. My main issue is due to additional out-of-scope cost that could have been captured or noted by their rep during our conversation as all links had been provided on the mount and TV size I am requesting to mount. read more

Unfortunately, the owner Sadiq responded to my disappointing review with more poor communication. When I talked to Patrick a week before the job, I explained what I wanted and was left with the impression that my appointment would cover the one wire into the wall. I was never told that what I wanted was a possibility at 5 hours/$1200 or that what I did order did not match what I wanted. I would have cancelled the job in either case. Sadiq's responded with the following: "I hope you didn't get the impression that the 5 hour job plus bringing a professional painter and patching would be included for the $150 price. If you want the wires in the wall we do provide those options" How was I supposed to know? My communications Bay Area Wall Mounts did not make that clear until it was too late. It felt like a bait and switch. In addition, Sadiq wrote: "the wire conduit which honestly looks better than not having any wires concealed" However, the Samsung OneConnect wire was the only wire and it is way smaller and less conspicuous that the bulky conduit BAWM put on my wall. The OneConnect wire looks better than the bulky conduit. Again, I would not recommend Bay Area Wall Mounts. If you decide to use them, be explicitly clear with what you did order and do not let them do any work you did not order. read more

We called Bay Area Wall Mounts a few days ago and scheduled a visit for today to mount our 55" TV, and a soundbar, onto the wall. Hameed let us know when he would arrive, was very professional and friendly, and did an excellent job mounting the TV. He installed a new double outlet behind the TV and ran the HDMI cables down a channel in the wall that had been installed by previous owners of the house. He tested everything to make sure that it worked and cleaned up behind himself. The price was very reasonable. We are very happy with the installation, we love the full motion TV mount, and the fact that the soundbar moves with the TV. Would absolutely recommend these guys!! read more
