The job looked flawless at the end. A jumble of wires from a computer, cable box, Nintendo switch, and an Xbox turned into this masterpiece of organized space (see photos). Not just the TV but also a sound bar! He was amazing and here are some key things we are happy to share : - He is easy to book with a flexible schedule and availability on weekends, we had him come out 2 weekends in a row to get through all the work. - He's super detailed and VERY meticulous which we really appreciate, we bought a brand new build home and it was great to have someone care as much as we did. - He offers the option to bring all items needed OR you can purchase yourself. We purchased ourselves but came up short in regards to some cables/wires needed. He always has extras on hand and offered them, but did not automatically just use them without talking to us first about the change in price. - He is the guru of this stuff! He told us to return a few items here or spend a little more there and in the end, we got exactly what we were looking for (and then some) and ended up saving a few hundred bucks which was awesome. - He's personable and easy to work with! Before I go on to describe Ed's amazing job, I'll go through my previous bad TV mounting experience: Before I contacted Edgar, I had a technician from the on-demand TV mounting service "Puls" come over and mount my TV. Now, their motto is "TV mounting on ALL types of walls", including fireplaces. To my surprise, the guy who had supposedly​ worked for Best Buy's Magnolia for over 15 years and had mounted hundreds​ of TVs, told me that because of the unusual shingle covering on my fireplace, he was 99% sure that there was nothing he could do to prevent the TV from being mounted unevenly. He even tried to pressure me into mounting the TV on a different wall; for a long time I had planned my whole furniture set-up around mounting the TV on my fireplace, and there was no way I would change my mind last minute. Their (fake) motto was the one who convinced me to mount​ my TV on the fireplace in the first place. Totally different experience​ with Edgar. I was very impressed with Ed's professionalism​ since the moment I messaged him for a quote. He responded​ almost​ immediately and answered any questions I had in a clear manner. He agreed to come take a look at the fireplace the next day. He took his time to asses the place, and unlike the other technician, gave me a list of options of what could be done, while keeping an optimistic and positive​ attitude--he even suggested, for my own benefit, to change the type of TV mount I was initially​ planning on getting. A couple of​ days later, he came back prepared with the TV mount and an extra wood plank that would help the TV be mounted adequately on the shingles (something the other​ technician didn't consider). He immediately put himself to work and didn't take him long to complete the job. I was delighted with the result. The plank is entirely invisible from the front​ , and the cable concealment​ was perfect. The quote was absolutely reasonable for the fast and reliable work he did. So happy with the install of my new outdoor TV! I called Edgar, told him what I wanted, he advised me on what equipment I needed & was able to make an appointment for the next day (Saturday before Super Bowl). He came with all the necessary tools to do the install. What I thought would be a 2-3 day process took only half day. He neatly made a hole where the new outlet would be and cleanly patched it up.
