View from cove for paddle boards

Stayed here while visiting Acadia National Park. They were great about precautions for COVID-19, and made the stay very welcoming, clean, and comfortable. Of course, it is a small cottage not a fancy hotel -- but this is exactly what we wanted for our trip! We wanted to take in a true Maine experience and reviews said cottages were the way to go (there are a bunch in the area). Out of the ones I saw, I was thankful we were staying at Bay Meadow! Also, the bed was super comfortable and the linens were so soft. I was super happy and pleasantly surprised at how nice it was. We didn't get to use the paddle boards they let visitors take out, but this was a nice option that we wish we were able to do. If we ever visit the park again, we will definitely stay here again!

Stayed one night, wish we could have stayed longer. Steve, new owner since last year, visited with us as we sat looking out over the Salisbury Cove at low tide (we never did see high tide) in the evening. Cute cottage, all the needed utensils, etc. for the kitchen. Netflix streamed fine, if we could have just stayed awake to the end of the movie. We didn't, but another guest had a nice outdoor pit fire going with the free supplied firewood. We will go back and stay longer next time. We also recommend Sweet Pea Cafe down the street for a wonderful dinner. PS Photo is not current but from historical photo in office.

    We made steak and potatoes!

It is nice being on the cove, but other than briefly sitting in the Adirondack chairs by the water, we didn't do much interaction with the cove.

We got our own cabin, which was kind of cool. The cabin had a bed and a sofa that converted to a bed. There was also a mini kitchen. The cabin also had a small back deck that looked out into the woods, but it was rather buggy, so we didnt spend much time out there - too bad, I would have liked to. The cabins are old and they show their age. They could use an update and some basic repairs. I dont need a fancy room though, and given that, I was satisfied with the cabin. What I was not satisfied with was the price. Visiting in early/mid August, I paid $400/night to stay here. This was ridiculous, but like I said, everything else was more. I would have liked to have stayed another night, but I couldnt justify the cost. What really killed me about this is that when I checked in, they told me that my cabin was about $250/night. When I asked why the difference, I was told that I should book directly with them. So if you stay here, book directly with them! Also, whatever you do, do not book with Hotels.com or any of their affiliates. It seems they just pocketed the difference between the hotel's price and the price I paid. The other thing I would mention is that after I checked in, I happened to check the price for other hotels in Bar Harbor for that night and I found one place that had been asking over $700/night was now down to $350; I could have stayed at a nicer place with a better location for less. I guess this is just the price you pay for visiting Bar Harbor during tourist season. Despite all this, I would still probably stay here again, but Id probably look at other alternatives first.

From peeling paint to stained curtains that look like they were salvaged from a Goodwill to the crack between the wall and window (great for cold rainy nights, huh) this was at best, a movie set for a movie about seedy flea bag motels. The "kitchenette" was a small dorm unit with a coffee maker and toaster on top. The room barely had space for a double bed. We left after 10 minutes and booked another Airbnb which was spectacular. When we contacted the owner we were told 12A was one of the non renovated units but they could move us to a better one. WTF? So they had decent accommodations but chose to stick us in this dump? If you don't believe me look at the photos of 12A they post s mine from last night... Stay away!

Amazing Southwest Harbor view with boating dock, beach bond fire, grill, and viewing balcony. You won't need AC with the cool breeze, actually a bit cold at night in the middle of July. The room is spotlessly clean. The amenities are a bit older. A few minor things that need to be addressed are the broken arm of the patio chair, cracked wood wall, and the bathroom sink doesn't drain well. Other than that, this place is amazing and we'll come back and recomend it to friends and families. P.S. Bonus to the front row seat to the Harbor's 4th of July firework! The sunset and sunrise views are magical here.

The staff is VERY nice, & the place is nice but we will stay elsewhere next time we visit. Note that if you stay in any of the 3 rooms in the bungalow pilot house: the walls are paper thin! Sadly we had to listen to our 'neighbor' conversations for hours every evening. (The owner did apologize to us for this given that we had to call them at 9:45 pm on our last nite, which was our anniversary, to have them call the other occupant & tell them to BE QUIET! By then our evening was ruined.) PS: The morning coffee was quite good & the property grounds are nice. Housekeeping could've done a better job.
