When we called to cancel our service, management informed us they would have someone by the next week, so we call on Monday.... no one available ... do not recommend to anyone. Communication within the company, very, very poor. I was never asked if I had pets, my first nurse was allergic to cats and she was afraid of my larger dog. Second nurse was wonderful, did well with all the cats and dogs.Third nurse who came out was covering for the second. I was never told of the change. Fourth nurse who came out was great. She is allergic to cats and was never told that I have cats. Again, lack of communication within this company. Had an emergency out of town, called Care Team to let them know. While I was out of town, the nurse that was supposed to come called and said that she would be coming out at such and such a time. Once again, lack of communication within the company. Explained that I would be back in town on a certain date and that the next scheduled infusion, which was scheduled, would go as planned. I had expressed this several times and I was assured that there would be no problem, that the info would be passed on. Again, lack of communication. As a retired nurse, I understand how a nurse can be spread thin. I understand that miss communication happens. But the lack of communication and lack of staff by this company is inexcusable. I have had home health before, nursing, CNA, PT and OT. and never had the problem like I do with this company. Not sure how many nurses do home IV therapy but this company needs to loosen the purse strings and put their patients first and not their pockets!!

He wandered the halls at night, calling me lost. Where was the staff? His room smelled, the food was less than appealing, the staff was rude to my son when he visited and asked questions. The head nurse left the week after Doug entered. A traveling nurse took her place. She was not there consistently to see what was happening. The Executive Director that was there when I husband entered was temporary. The new Executive Director told me she was in training. When I told her of my concerns she said she agreed with everything but she was in training and would take time to make the changes. I'm sorry, I wasn't going to leave my husband in a facility that didn't have their act together. I just received an invoice. I paid with a check for the first month and had given them 2 week notice of the 30 days they required. The invoice does not reflect any of this. Now I need to follow up and get their billing fixed. This facility seems to be going through many changes. As a result, I don't think they are organized in any department. I would not recommend Brookdale Pointe West at this time.

Not only is the facility clean and beautiful but every single person that works there is the best of the best...especially the nursing staff. They truly care and they truly put their heart into taking care of our loved ones. Both of my parents have stage 4 cancer along with other chronic conditions but they have thrived here because they get great care and all of their needs are met. The proximity to TGH is a blessing. Between the two of them, there are quite a few medical appointments -- but the Allegro driver takes care of transportation. There have been a few times that they needed around the clock care and/or emergency services and the team at Allegro took care of everything or made care plans -- the communication is always outstanding and transparent. It is wonderful to know that you can trust them. I can't begin to express how thankful I am for the peace of mind they have given me and I have knowing that there is a great community of caring staff, a great group of other residents and so many activities and outings. Because of them, I get to spend precious time with my parents... instead of trying to be their caregiver.
