I had to call the store everyday to see what was going on. Then I decided to not have store install floor and wanted refund for that amount. They then screwed around with what I should be refunded. The manager was nice enough and tried to help but process is competitive mismanaged.

Upstairs they replaced the entire floor with a stain resistant (3 small kids!) white patterned carpet. Jim, the owner of Melbourne Flooring personally oversaw the entire project and even worked all day by himself in Sunday because he wanted to give his crew time off, but not lose momentum on the project. They told us it was probably from humidty coming from the concrete. My neighbor had them do the same thing and their lanai has cloudy spots too. I have been told by another company it is because the top coat was put on too thick. Now I have to have my entire lanai completely redone as the spots are all over my lanai. I would not recommend this company at all.

In our opinion, what she paid wasn't quite worth it. That said, she is somewhat happy with the outcome. However, there were a few disappointing issues. She ordered a beautiful porcelain marble tile, and was told they'd take care of everything. She ended up with extra boxes and was later told they would not take them back--even though they originally said they would. The installation process also came with several delays and excuses. While the job was finally completed, there were unexpected extra costs, including hiring a plumber--something that was never mentioned upfront. My mom is older, but she's still sharp, and it's frustrating when promises aren't fully honored. It's important for businesses to stand by their word, especially when working with seniors.

Yep, thats right, we have to rip ALL the tile up (its half our house). If not done, we compromise the flooring install and warranty.. These people, supposedly, have been in the flooring business for YEARS, then you know the process. You should have been transparent. Not screw people over after buying a floor and paying for installation, throw additional cost of $4-5K (Floor Prep charge!!) in order to get your flooring done...Disgusting!! Best part, the installers (private contractors), apologized and said they've had this issue(complain) from Flooring America several times... So, that just solidified what type of business this really is. TRASH!! UNPROFESSIONAL!! UNTRUSTWORTHY!! DONT BE SOLD ON 'FAMILY BUSINESS'. If you do go with them, ask questions, do not assume, they DO NOT care about you, only $$. They will not offer information to you! I would not recommend them to anyone I know.
