I have never had a car repair experience like this, ever. Unbelievable. Professional and friendly. Yusha promptly checked me and took down some symptoms. Right away everyone knew my name. A gentlemen came over and said "hello Michael, I am Moses. Tell me what is going on with the car." He listened intently. Asked a few questions. "Michael, let me get to work." Another gentlemen came over. "Michael, I am Sol. We are going to take care of you. We will call you in about an hour." I am car stupid. Moses called with the diagnoses and clearly communicated the problem and the estimated cost. After the work was complete the final bill was a little over 9% less than the estimate! When I came to pick up the car a problem was discovered at the last minute. Moses and Sol explained the problem would be hard to discover earlier. My heart sank. More money. Sol said "Michael, we are going to take care of you. This is on us. we didn't catch it. We are going to replace the part at no charge." I would take my car back to Bay's. Sal is great, did quick work and was transparent about pricing. I needed both rear bearings replaced on my '14 Subaru Crosstrek and was in and out same day, less than 8 hours. The bearings were super seized and making a horrible grinding noise above 20mph so I expected the worst. I got an estimate for the work over the phone and had in confirmed in-shop. I had wonderful experience at Bay's Auto Shop. My dealership was going to charge me thousands of dollars to assess cam tower leakage. I brought my car to Bay's Auto for a second opinion. They evaluated my car and explained to me about the various components involved. They cleaned the components of concern and put oil dye, then ask me to drive around and return to them for another assessment. They were more thorough and attentive than my dealership. I returned in a week and a half which they checked my car and didn't see anything concerning. They helped me saved a lot of money and the service was excellent. I had the best experience with Bay's! My car battery died just around the corner from their shop, and they kindly walked over and jump- started it for me so I didn't have to get a tow. They quickly diagnosed the problem as a faulty alternator and had it replaced and the car ready for me to pick up in just a couple hours. Special shout out to Yusha and Moses. Unbelievable. I wanted scratches buffed out and my front bumper repaired and painted. I was quoted $4,300. Did the business think I was naive and gullible because I was from out of state or because I was a woman? They were aggressive and intent on getting me to open a payment plan, which I did not do. Mechanic had already pushed my car into the bay before I had agreed to have the work done. I would not trust this business. I feel they are scammers. I am thankful for all humans who actually have morals. I took my car to M-Auto Service and they quoted me $580.00 to complete the work. Hmm, guess who I hired. read more

Went in for blown fuses $200 for a diagnostic $600 for parts and work (lol) failed to change all fuses, told me it needed a replacement ABS, took to a different mechanic, didn't need a replacement ABS, just needed the job finished regarding changing the fuses. Don't. Don't use this shop. Drove my car in for a routine annual inspection. Had to tow my car to another service center to fix the computer. Lights, windows, turn signals didn't work. My car was worse off by going to Bays. Customer service was atrocious. Even if it was a fluke, they didn't offer to help in any way. Didn't offer to pay for a $100 tow, didn't connect me to another service center, didn't do anything to help remedy the situation. When the tow truck picked it up Bays put a bag in the window they rolled down and couldn't get back up, but didn't tape the bag. Just no customer service effort at all. read more

Great mechanic! My car's battery charging light came on. I called at 5:20 pm and they said to bring it in the next morning. I dropped it off at 9, they diagnosed and told me how much it was going to be by 9:30, and it was all fixed by 12! Very quick service. They were straight and to the point. read more

So amazed by the quality of service here! I came in the morning of Christmas Eve because our car had an unexpected problem right before we were supposed to go on a long road trip, and Bay was able to fit us in right away. He found an issue with our splash shield and fixed it right away. He was patient with my questions and showed me what had happened. As I was leaving, I realized there was another issue, and after some quick trial and error testing, he figured out the issue with a rock in our axle. Bay's extremely honest and one of the best mechanics I've ever worked with. One of the headlights on my car had gone out. Upon close examination the ring casing holding onto the headlight shattered. Bay took a look and told me of my various options. He suggested that I order the whole headlight unit online and have it delivered. I was a bit impatience and went to the dealer to see how much it would cost to get it fixed and they quoted me $450 for the headlight with an additional $150 service charge to put in the new headlight unit. Taking Bay's suggestion, I ordered my headlight unit online and got it for $116. He ended up replacing the new headlight for only $40. Bay takes the time to listen to your concerns and worries when you take your car in. His team here is really down to earth and honest and if they don't have time for your car that day, they'll let you know. read more

These people are fantastic. My A/C went out on my 2004 Avalanche. Not only did they fix that so it's freezing cold, they also took care of a faulty oil pressure sensor, and 2 anti-knock sensors that had been making my check engine light come on. Last minute I realized I was way overdue for an oil change. My usual place couldn't get me in for a while. I looked at yelp reviews for places that were open on a Sat and found Bay's. I called them up and they told me to come by that morning. I dropped my car off at the allotted time and they were done in less than an hour even though they were busy working on a bunch of other cars. Everyone was really nice and helpful and the price was very reasonable. It's located right across the street from Rueben's in Ballard. Definitely will be back and it's so nice that they are open on a weekend day. read more

Noticed something was going on with my brakes, dropped my car off at 9:30 am and had it back by 5:30. Super efficient! The rear bake pads needed to be replaced but thankfully the front pads were fine - offered to do it same day for a fair price. Car felt normal again on my drive home. Once again, Bay saves the day! Today I took my Jeep Liberty for an oil change and to have the front end checked out after I hit a railroad track last weekend. When I went to pick up my Jeep, Bay told me I had no damage in my front end, BUT he did notice a transmission seal that was leaking so he replaced it. He LITERALLY saved me from HUGE repair bill - and only charged me half of what another mechanic would have charged to replace the seal. Any other mechanic would have probably let the seal continue to leak so that I'd have to pay the huge repair bill. I've been taking my Jeep to Bay for 3 years now and he has ALWAYS done great work for very reasonable prices. I will never go to another mechanic as long as Bay is still around. read more
