I've been here a few times now and I love it!! The food is always great and very tasty. The staff is extremely friendly and attentive. The drinks are good and strong and the bartenders in the tiki bar are awesome!! I highly recommend this restaurant for happy hour, the deals are great. Taco 'bout a great spot right on the water! A Casual Sunday, sunny and 75, and the perfect spot to hang out outside and grab a bite to eat. It is nice when you can get away from the city while still being in the city and this place helps with that. My girlfriend and I were seated quickly and served chips while we waited. An order of nachos was ordered and then two orders of fish tacos; one for each. I chose the chicken tacos, and she chose the standard fish taco. I think it was cod, but can't be too sure. Portion sizes were good, the price point was good, and the wait staff was friendly and attentive. Great spot to stop in and grab a drink or some food while getting away from the busy streets of Baltimore, but being just a skip and a hop away. read more

Hosted a holiday party at Bayside Cantina that was a HUGE success! The food was incredible, always warm at the buffet, and refilled when we were running low. The service at the bar was wonderful, fast, and offered great happy hour options! Kevin was a fantastic bartender to all 50 of us! The venue space was absolutely perfect! We had the whole boathouse building to ourselves as well as the outdoor patio with heaters. Everyone loved the amount of space available and the ability to be both inside and outside! Alfredo was so wonderful from start to finish of the event. The planning and coordination was so easy! He followed up with details prior to and throughout the entire event. Bayside Cantina is very close to our home and along our regular walking path so we were looking forward to its opening. The establishment has fantastic views of the harbor, and the owners created a nice calm ambiance that contrasts the loud bustle of Fells Point. The large patio umbrellas with built in LED lights fascinated our party. The service is still figuring out things with new hires and trainees. However, the food is solid! The restaurant has a simple Tex-Mex menu. The food came out relatively quickly, but every dish was obviously made thoughtfully. I had the 18 oz ribeye steak which was huge, tender, well-seasoned, and cooked to perfection (medium rare). The best steak for the best price I've had in Baltimore so far after 3 years. My wife had an enchilada which was pretty good. The drinks were tasty and customizable (e.g. making the Skinny Chica spicier). It may not be clear but parking is available, free, and easy! I sincerely wish this place luck since others that were in their spot before did not fare well. read more

Hoping this place does well in this location! We called in a reservation and were sat immediately we got there. Well decorated inside, I always love some plants around a restaurant. There were a ton of cool lights and lit up signs, but honestly I found it to be a bit too bright. We sat upstairs and the bright BAYSIDE light was too much with all the other lights hanging from the ceiling and on the walls. The meal starts with chips and salsa, always love that. Multicolored chips and a tasty salsa! I got a strawberry marg which was delicious, also at my table was the skinny marg, the mule, and a traditional marg. Everyone was happy. If you want salt or sugar rimmed on your drink, you need to ask. I didn't get any type of rim (sugar all the way) because I didn't say anything, but I was expecting to be asked. Oh well. Strong and yummy drinks! Food was fantastic. A friend and I split the chicken chimichanga and steak fajitas. She and I had never had a chimichanga before and were both pleasantly surprised! Not dry at all inside, fried outside without tasting greasy. I'd probably get this next time. The steak fajitas were good, classic. It didn't come with any cheese, so if you want cheese - ask! No one had any complaints with their food. I definitely would like to come back! read more

The place has potential as it's right on the water. Service was fairly good and all the waitstaff were friendly & helpful. The food however was very disappointing. I went with 4 others and they all had similar experiences. Some things-- like the burrito bowl-- just we're not flavorful where as other things-- like the guacamole & refried beans-- were just bad. The taste was very off and neither was palatable. In retrospect I'm wondering if the food may have gone bad as 4 out of 5 of us woke up feeling pretty terrible. Food poisoning? Also, I was excited to go for happy hour, but the happy hour "deals" didn't seem like much of a deal. $12 margaritas? I will say though, when we accidentally knocked over a full margarita, staff was very understanding and quick to help clean up the mess. read more

First time coming here for an early dinner with a friend. We wanted to sit in the enclosed outdoor area and staff accommodated us without hesitation. Upon being seated at your table you receive complimentary chips and salsa which is a major plus in my eyes- ha. My friend and I ordered the skinny jalapeño margaritas and they were so delicious and not overly spicy- just right amount. For dinner I ordered the shrimp burrito bowl and it was incredible!! Packed with tons of veggies, rice, beans and they did not skimp on the shrimp!! It was so good. My friend got the steak burrito bowl and I tried her steak and it was also incredible. Everything was so flavorful and executed so well. I will be back for this dish!!! Tons of outdoor seating, covered outdoor seating, beautiful views and PARKING!! The chef is, um, incredible? I mean that it's hard to believe someone can produce Mexican food that has zero flavor. It's filling and it's not very expensive, but that's about all you can say. Something as simple as a chicken quesadilla should be pretty good at a place like this. Instead, it was soggy, flavorless, and grisly. The burrito bowl was more of a salad with some interesting veggie choices (carrots), and a very strange spice. I will say, the plantains and rice pudding have been great. The drinks are stiff, the view is nice, and the food is terrible. I don't know how this place has four stars because it's the worst excuse for Mexican food I've ever experienced. The only even decent things on the menu are the fajitas and the enchiladas. Everything else has been massively disappointing, like the tamale I ordered that was literally room temperature, wet, and had a single green bean smushed into it (wtf?). The only reason I've been back is because the patio is nice. Only go here if you want to get so drunk you don't care what you're eating or you don't know what Mexican food actually is. read more

We had our baby girl's first birthday party at Bayside Cantina and everything was perfect, thanks to the team at the restaurant. They have a beautiful private space that offers an indoor area and outdoor space with heaters, both of which overlook the water. We had a taco bar and flautas for guests and everyone raved about the food said the margaritas and sangria were banging. Service was top notch--everyone kept saying how great the bartender and staff were. We will definitely be going back often and hope to have future parties there. Celebrated my mother's birthday here and the Food and service is amazing ! I had the ceviche (appetizer) and mar y terra entree and the flan (dessert ) were all so delicious . The location is great but the food is mediocre. They charge $5 to park in their lot even if you are eating there. The food is overpriced for what it is which is average Mexican fare.
