This place has a nice waterfront outdoor area, we just went for apps but I was shocked how good the happy hour deals were. We had steak nachos which were surprisingly good, the meat was marinated and not overcooked. We also had the chicken flautas which were crispy and well seasoned. Loved the southwestern ranch they came with. The portions on the happy hour apps were so massive we actually skipped dinner after. In this day and age, with billionaires destroying our economy and the working class, a deal like this one is hard to find. I had an excellent time at the waterfront location in Canton. We enjoyed the HH with limited selections yet very delicious. We had the flautas, which had chicken and veggies in it. The chipotle aioli was amazing . Our waitress May was fantastic and the waterfront view was great. I enjoyed a ginger beer mocktail that the bartender made fancy and special. First I'd like to start with my wife and I just moved into the area; and we're very excited to explore the many different restaurants by the waterfront park. While walking up to Bayside we came into the restaurant from the bay entrance to walk around to the hostess stand to be seated. My wife and I maneuvered the crowd with our two pups (one being in a COVERED dog stroller). I wasn't greeted nor did I feel a welcoming presence. I said "Hello" several times to the hostess and gentleman standing at the host stand. So, again I spoke up and said hello asking for a table for two outside; and expressed my frustration in the moment of the lack of no welcome. My dog in the stroller began whining and the gentleman whistled at me to look at the sign "dogs welcome but they must behave". I then told the gentleman my dog is overwhelmed right now but we will be outside and there should be no problem. He continued to rudely point at the sign. At this point, I stated I'd rather just leave. I asked their names... The gentleman was the manager, Mario, and when we asked the young lady for her name she stated to me and my wife, "Baby, I don't work here." Despite being dressed in the same attire as the rest of staff and standing at the host stand. The manager's response was, "She's just helping me out." I say all of this to say, not once did the MANAGER try to be welcoming, understanding or respectful. It's not what you say it's how you say it. It was unnecessary for them to be rude to us about our dogs and unwelcoming. Healthy and calm communication goes a long way. Truly a disgusting experience! read more

I stumbled upon Bayside Cantina while exploring Canton. This restaurant is located by the water, but behind a condominium building. I saw a sign off the main road for a different spot and stumbled upon Bayside Cantina. First, the parking is difficult but it is worth it. When I went, I didn't have a reservation and walked up, however I'd recommend you make a reservation. They have seating indoor/outdoor, but they normally don't have enough staff to cover a completely full house. I sat down and they start you off with Chips & Salsa which is always a good sign. Then, I ordered tacos and I like the fact that I can mix up the protein options, however the toppings must be consistent. Lastly, I love a Mexican restaurant that has plantains on the menu. Both selections were tasty. All in all, I would return for lunch by the water. The ambience is more of a chill vibe. However, I highly recommend packing your patience for parking and the staff; the service was a bit slow. read more

A few different things to consider when coming here!! The ambiance is stellar, and I think one of the main attractions. It's super cute and right on the water. It has lots of seating! The service has always been great whenever I've been. Even when I was on a VOLO cornhole team which often came here (and can be annoying/overwhelming for staff), they always offered us food and drink and brought it out in a timely manner. What I will say, is that the food and drinks are average. Not bad by any means, also not the best mexican food I've ever had either! Bayside Cantina is a great spot for the views--overlooks the water. Great for a spring/summer day. With that being said, my friends & I visited on 3/26, a warm day (65 degrees). When the weather starts to warm up, you should automatically have staff because more people are going to be out and about. They were short staffed, wait times for tables and food was long, and the hostess seemed a little confused. I heard her tell several groups several different things as they came in. We had family and friends fly into town from all over the country expecting to celebrate my husbands retirement from the military, a major milestone and instead were met with unacceptable and disappointing experience that felt disrespectful to my husband's 20 years of service. We were told to we could arrive at 10:30 AM and were assured that someone would be present to assist with setup. When that person eventually arrived she was unable to provide any meaningful help, had a poor attitude, and did not even know how to operate basic amenities such as the fans or air conditioning. Our event was scheduled to take place on the outdoor patio. At no point during the booking process were we informed that the patio lacked functioning outlets, fans, or air conditioning--details that are critical when planning a daytime event in warm weather. After expressing our concerns, we were relocated inside, but only after speaking to a different manager than the one we had originally worked with. The new location, on the upper level, lacked sufficient airflow and was hot and extremely uncomfortable. Additionally, our booking included a server and a bartender--neither of whom were present when our guests began arriving. A guest in attendance took matters into their own hands and stepped behind the bar to serve water, as there was no wait staff to assist. This was both unprofessional and frustrating seeing that they were our guest and not supposed to be there working! When our guest speaker began, we asked that the music be turned down so attendees could hear the presentation, we were told "No," despite our group of nearly 50 being the mass majority of who was occupying the restaurant at the time. This made it difficult for many of our guests to hear the speeches, especially those seated toward the back. When a server finally appeared near the end of the event to clear tables, it was clear our large party was an afterthought and the lack of service had already impacted the entire experience for everyone as they were all commenting on the dirty plates across the tables, lack of refreshments with overly warm accommodations. When we were told that coffee, water, and sodas were included with the service. I actually emailed the restaurant and have not had a response from either owner or manager, hoping to resolve this privately. I would have preferred to speak to someone rather than leave a public review. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this restaurant for events or basic customer service. I live in Canton, and this is by far the worst service I have experienced in the neighborhood. The one positive from this experience was the view and location on the Canton waterfront. read more

The tables outside have a lot of shade and the breeze from the water makes the experience perfect. The food was good with a lot of options. The service was fast and the drinks got refilled often. This is owned by the same company that owns and runs Chilangos in fells point. Chilangos has a slightly different, but honestly better menu. Chilangos has better service overall. This location has a better view for the outdoor seating. It also has more outdoor seating and is also still pet friendly for outdoor seating. Unfortunately, the service is not as good here, even the similar items are not prepared as well as at Chilangos, and when you try to order takeout, this location is vastly inferior. They got our last order wrong in multiple ways. One entrée was missing, and another entrée was just flat out prepared incorrectly. I would come here for a cocktail hour, or to sit outside and enjoy the view. I would go to Chilangos for takeout, or if I wanted a better meal in terms of food. read more

They did an exceptional job holding my Wedding Reception!!! From the day we viewed the restaurant, Carlos and his team have been a huge help. I cannot say enough good things about this place, but I will summarize. Food: Amazing, cooked to perfection! So good, my husband and I ate a full steak each from the leftovers for breakfast and it was STILL delicious. My guest raved about the food. Carlos and team even had to work with dinner getting pushed out over 1 hour, and they still perfected the timing of the food coming out. Staff: Exception, Carlos and team were so helpful. Unfortunately, the weather made us have to re-set up the decor from the patio to the upstairs room. This is why dinner was pushed out. They did this quickly and seamlessly. My guest continued to enjoy cocktails in the outside bar room with appetizers, while the team set up the table settings for the second time! Maritza and Alejandra served during our event. I picked Bayside because I could have my dog with me during my reception and Alejandra made him a priority, making sure he had access to fresh water from the moment he got there. At one point she even took my dog from my father so he could enjoy the party, and took him outside for a water break. It means the world because we were all so busy and having him there was a big part of why I picked Bayside. Parking can be a bit tricky to navigate but they do have a parking lot they share with other local business. I came here for brunch and got the French toast with scrambled eggs as well as a lava cake dessert. It wasn't anything spectacular or special so food wise not so great for traditional brunch food. (The other people at my table got the pancake platter and were still hungry/dissatisfied). The dessert was really yummy and the prices are very reasonable. The staff was great. They have bottomless mimosas during brunch for $13 and everyone at my table raved about them. Overall, it's a nice place to visit but the food could be better. read more

You can't beat that. Our waiter kept our glasses full the entire time. The food itself was not spectacular, but decent considering the price. Our professional women's club was looking for somewhere with outdoor space and parking to hold our informal kick-off meeting for the club year. Carlos and the staff were very accommodating, and the food was really good (taco bar, flautas, chips and guacamole, wings). They even checked in to make sure the music was not too loud while were had a short meeting before networking and eating. We used the outdoor covered deck, and it turned out to be a great location.
