I was excited as I love the sweet nutty flavor of red snapper.  I watched as the fish fried.  Red snapper was coated in cornmeal batter and was crunchy on the outside.  Normally cornmeal batter has a slightly sweet and slightly salty flavor.  I didn't taste much from either the batter or the fish other than the fried batter flavor. Fries were very crunchy and dry.  Not overcooked but close. I added 5 shrimp to the order.  There was a ton of batter and some kind of hot sauce used to season the batter which hid the flavor of the shrimp.  I did not like the flavor so I gave the rest of the shrimp to Maggie who didn't like the flavor of the oil or the batter. Onion rings were mostly crunchy except the batter was too thick so some parts of the batter were not transformed by the frying process into crunchy goodness.   I didn't like the flavor of the herbs in the batter which distracted from the fried onion flavor.
