The fish was old and not fresh. The french fries had a bad after taste. The order was in one of those " Card board" containers that get soggy. Not only that..... they put the cold drink in the bag with the hot food. By the time I got home....... the card board container was very moist and lost its stability. Lining the bottom of the container with " Deli Sheets" will help if " Styrofoam" containers are not used. Fries taste a lot better and fresher with cleaned frying oil in a clean fryer. Maybe add a little french Fries seasoning once fries are done. Not impressed. Food was not good.

Red Snapper and fries

I stumbled upon Tony's at the Oceanside farmers market. I'm glad I did. I got the Red Snapper, which came with fries and a drink. I've never had Snapper, and it was delicious. They also season the fries to perfection. I really wanted catfish, but they were out. I'll have to get there earlier next time. This seems to be a mom and pop business. I really like supporting the little guy. They are super friendly and really appreciate the business. It shows the way they treat you.

Swai with coleslaw, shrimps and fries. High recommend!

They had a pop-up at a gas station near my house. I love supporting local businesses so I had to place an order. The lady and gentleman that helped me with the order were very nice. I had an order of Swai (they were out of cod), coleslaw, fries and I added the extra shrimp for five dollars. Obviously the food was freshly made. Everything was very delicious. I'm glad I added the extra shrimps for five dollars because it was very good. For $25 I thought it was a very generous amount of food, enough for two people for sure (see image). Hope they keep it up!

Catfish, red snapper, jumbo shrimp & fries

Very yummy & they are really good people too. After the first time, we came back twice all within 2wks lol

Snapper and french fries.
Golden Girl ..

I've driven by here a few times and always saw they had a crowd, so I decided to stop. I should've kept driving. First off, the snapper was not fresh. Fresh fish is not supposed to have a fishy taste. Then they need to change their grease because no way the fish should be this color on the outside but still soft on the inside. You can literally see the tiny black flakes from the fish grease being old. Lastly, to charge $20 for 2 small pieces of fishy tasting pieces of fish, a handful of frozen french fries, and a can of soda is absolutely diabolical.

The food is delicious and high quality. Perfect seasoning! But because it is a pop- up, remember to check facebook for location

You can either dine-in or take it to-go. The dining area is small but spacious enough to enjoy a meal. For service, I was greeted and my order was taken and the wait for the food was reasonable. We ordered the Fried Zucchini with 3 Chicken Strips and 2 Fish with Onion Rings. The Fried Zucchini was delicious. It's crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. The portion is huge. As for the batter, it's very tasty. It's crunchy, very flavorful, and not overly salty. It wasn't too oily either. It pairs really well with the condiments and a hint of lemon makes it taste better. Overall, a great experience and would definitely recommend giving this place a try if you're having a craving for fish & chips!

You'd probably just pass by it without noticing if you weren't looking for it. It seafood, so it's not cheap, and it took quite a while to get the food even though there were only a couple other parties in the place. But when it did come out, it was super hot and fresh. The tempura batter was super light and crunchy, and everything tasted good. The whole set up was kinda odd though, like there was no real thought put into the convenience of getting condiments, utensils, or drink refills. Not too big of a deal though.. The food was surprisingly good, and if I get that urge for battered seafood again, I wouldn't hesitate going back.

The last time I visited this suite in the Rolando neighborhood, Filipino cuisine was being served…read more Apparently, a relative of the owner was given an opportunity to run that food service, but it was unable to succeed. The lower line of the new marquee sign noted that 'BBQ & Southern Style Food' was also offered at Bayside Fish & Chips. Those items made up the right menu screen while the left screen displayed the traditional fried seafood fare. I picked the Fish Sandwich which was the first of five listings. A fried whitefish fillet (my choice) or catfish nuggets was available as the protein served on a bun with tartar sauce. The batter used on the fish was a light cornmeal. I appreciated that it was not heavily coated on the fillet. I also ordered a serving of the Creole Gumbo. The roux was not as dark as have I seen in other versions of this classic Southern recipe. A medley of crab pieces, clams, chicken, and andouille sausage was mixed together while a dish of white rice was provided on the side to add into the broth. There were only four tables for on-site dining so most of the business at Bayside Fish & Chips was for takeout orders. The BBQ meats were not available at the time of my afternoon visit. The brisket and pork ribs would be worth trying on another occasion when I am in this neighborhood. The food quality and prices were worth a four star rating.

It's a no frills sandwich, with just the chopped smoked beef on a bun with a side of BBQ side. A few pickles here would have been nice to break into the beefy flavor, which was good, but the meat was heavy on the salt, especially towards the end of a bite and chew. It also would have been nice if it were a little juicier. The bun was good and effective. I would have preferred if they served the bun warm, however. It would have complimented the warm beef better and the sandwich as a whole. The BBQ sauce was good and just tad elevated the flavor of the sandwich. It was a decent beef sandwich overall, I can't help thinking of those sour pickles, though. Service was friendly enough but not much for conversation, and the place is very simple inside with a few tables. Like I said, no frills, not that there is anything wrong with that.

I was feeling lucky today.  So I ordered my fried fish with onion rings and paid $1 upcharge.  The problem with onion rings is they range from not good to great.  With fries they are usually fine. White fish was fried in a tempura batter infused with herbs.  White fish had a mild flavor and was nice and moist.  Batter was crunchy. Onion rings were mostly crunchy except the batter was too thick so some parts of the batter were not transformed by the frying process into crunchy goodness.   I didn't like the flavor of the herbs in the batter which distracted from the fried onion flavor. Service from the guy in charge was friendly and efficient.  My combo was $12.99 which is a great deal.  I'd order the fish again but not the onion rings.  Doing further research I found they are also listed on Yelp as BFF Burgers, Fish and Fries.  So that's the story on my lunch adventure.

The staff was very gracious in the face of the huge crowd and a mountain of orders. The location is spacious with plenty of room to line up and tables to sit and eat or wait on orders. The parking was easy too which was a bonus. For food we got two orders of the big greedy with yams, greens, baked beans and the new mushroom rice. I will stress that everything was excellent and we would get this exact order again, but a few particular standouts were 1) Fried Catfish. Our favorite protein by far. It was deliciously seasoned, perfectly fried, and succulently tender, 2) Candied Yams. They were sweet, tender and nicely balanced, 3) Mushroom Parmesan Rice. We only tried this because so many of the other sides were sold out and man are we glad we did. Our family tore this side up! The mushroom parm gravy was smooth and creamy with large chunks of mushroom. Definitely a great addition to the sides list. Our family can't wait to go back and try more of what CBB has to offer. So glad they've got a brick and mortar restaurant now!
