Went here for my once every two year smog check and was super pleased! I called in the morning and was able to make an appointment for that afternoon. When I arrived, the owner was working on my vehicle in just a couple of minutes, right on schedule. Everything passed, we finished the paper work and I was done! Key highlights: -friendly owner -answered phone right away and was no hassle to get an appointment -owner respected the appointment time -he was quick and courteous The parking lot is a bit tight, but if you pull just past the chain link gate/fence, he has several parking spots for his business on the left. Arrived around 10:15am on a Friday. As soon as owner Naqib was done with another customer he came to me and introduced himself - polite and enthusiastic. Did my smog check quickly and efficiently. When we were in the office paying he informed me the DMV would have the results electronically in about 30 minutes. Great interaction, reasonable price. About an hour later i went to DMV website and sure enough they had already received the results and I was able to complete my registration. With appointment, everything goes smoothly and quickly - about a half hour. I have a 30+ year old classic, and emissions tests are always a nail-biter these days. They took good care, and they have a nice waiting area with a water cooler. These days, one sits outside in the shade. GREAT, PROFESSIONAL SERVICE! After calling to make an appointment for October 7th, 2020 (During the Covid-19 pandemic), I took my mom's 2010 Honda Civic in for a smog check. When I arrived, I was seen immediately. Every precaution was taken (mask, open windows, social distancing, etc.). The young man helping me noticed that the tire light was on, so without my asking, he checked all the tires and added air to the appropriate level. I waited outside (by choice- there was also an indoor waiting area as well) for no more than 20-30 minutes, and I believe I paid $43 cash. (they accept CC, touch pay, and cash). Thank you! The company that I normally go to for smog checks just hired a new manager and raised their prices--a lot! So, to Yelp I go for reviews and pricing. I asked for a price through Yelp and received a quick reply with a good price. I checked Bayside Smog's reviews on Yelp and found a couple of negative reviews that turned out to be obviously fake. (Did you know that you can earn $ writing fake reviews on Yelp?) I made an appointment and showed up on time. I was greeted quickly and handed paperwork to sign while my truck was taken in for the smog check. The price was what I was quoted on line. I was even offered donuts! The truck passed and I paid and was out of there in 10 minutes! While there, another customer came in early for his appointment and was also greeted quickly and was told that there was an appointment ahead of him that had not checked in yet. They give a 5-minute grace period. I think that is fair. I highly recommend this business! Good, honest people! read more

If I could give 10 stars I would. I chose them because of their rating. I had difficulty finding (dang Google maps) and was at least 20 minutes late. When I got there I didn't detect one ounce of impatience. As a matter of fact they were so gracious and accommodating. There's a lot to be said for a business that treats their customers well; my experience was exceptional from the moment I called to make an appointment, to my experience once I got there.
