ANOTHER GREAT VISIT ! I have to go back 40 years to the summer of 1975 when I was 6 years old when I spent my first summer in Naples,Maine actually on the exact spot where the condos are on the Bay of Naples. There were 4 cottages on that site. After many years of vacationing with my Mom,Dad and sister I have continued the tradition by vacationing at Bayview Cabins which is across the street from the condos. Personally, this area holds a special place in my heart. Over the last bunch of years I have introduced Naples, Maine to my wife. She absolutely loves it too !! To us, Naples feels more like home than our residence in Massachusetts ! Naples has always kept its old town charm which sets it apart from many of the communities across our nation. We just came back last night from another amazing stay and I have to applaud Steve and Sherri Matte who are the owners of Bayview Cabins for continuing the Naples tradition. They make you feel so comfortable. You can choose to reserve a cabin or a room in the guest house. Either way they have all fresh linens on the beds and a pristine setting throughout the place. We love to bring our own small grille and because each place has its own picnic table we are able to enjoy grilling various meats which can conveniently be purchased by a 2 minute drive or a short walk. The cabins and guesthouse are right on Brandy Pond. You can use their complimentary canoes or you can rent a boat from the many marinas in the area. If you do that Steve and Sherri provide free docking for their residents ! While we are there Steve and Sherri take the time to walk the grounds to check on their guests and they go the extra mile to ensure your stay is great. When you are getting settled into your cabin they ask if everything is ok. Having stayed many years prior with the previous owners, Steve and Sherri have not missed a beat and have continued their great hospitality. They want this to be enjoyable for "every" guest. They have policies in place so that "each" guest will have the same great experience. I was alarmed to see the review on here about the woman that got married up there and complained about her stay. With all due respect, Steve and Sherri can't compromise the well being of the other paying guests by allowing people to funnel in and out just because it is your wedding. As a long time Naples vacationer, I will put that to rest as I guarantee you will not be disappointed if you plan a vacation at Bayview Cabins. It is great for a couple or a couple with kids. It is a safe,no nonsense environment. There is plenty to do and lots of great places within walking distance. Shops,restaurants,water activities,ice cream,the famous Songo River Queen and the amazing sunset which you can view over Long Lake. You might choose to sit by the water in front of the cabins where they provide chairs and a picturesque view of Brandy Pond. FANTASTIC FIND...only wish we found it sooner! I can't say enough good things about Bayview Cabins. First and foremost, the owners are wonderful. They're warm, welcoming and so accommodating (thank you, Steve and Sherri). Most importantly, they take tremendous pride in ownership...and it shows. We happened to stay in two different cabins during our vacation. Both cabins were cute, cozy and CLEAN...like super clean (can't stress that enough). They were nicely decorated and had been recently updated...very well-maintained inside and out. The linens and towels are provided for you. As someone who dreads doing "vacation laundry" upon returning home, this was an added bonus. The kitchens are fully equipped as well...never once found myself reaching for something they hadn't thought to provide. The owners honestly couldn't make your stay any more convenient. You're literally steps to the water from your cabin and within walking-distance to local restaurants and shops from the property. There are lots of places for the kids to get ice cream and a really cool mini-golf course nearby. A scenic and relaxing riverboat cruise (which I highly recommend) boards within walking distance as well. With so much to do, we still managed to take full advantage of the canoes and paddle boats Bayview offers its guests (some tubes and floats, too). I also considered that an added bonus since they were all graciously provided...no hidden extras, no added fees. It was something my family and I appreciated as much as we enjoyed. The property, the location, the view...just beautiful! It truly is as good as it gets here. It's a no-brainer...a win-win. Our one regret is that we eventually had to check out. Upon my arrival at Bayview Cabins last week, Steve and Sherri Matte (the owners) welcomed me with a warm and friendly smile. As Steve escorted me over to what would be "my Cabin" for the week, it was clear to me that he knows the area well, as he was very informative and he was more than happy to answer any questions I had. Since this was my first trip to Naples, ME, I had a few questions! The lakefront Cabins are nestled right on Brandy Pond and are only a few steps from Bayview's private boat docks and beach area. To my delight, there are numerous lawn chairs, facing the waterfront, for guests to relax in with a good book. You can also, at any time of the day, take out a canoe, row boat or even a paddle boat. Should you desire something with a little more speed, you can rent a boat from the local Marina. The Cabin was exceptionally clean and I found myself sleeping soundly each night as the bed was quite comfortable. It had a kitchenette equipped with everything needed to prepare a meal. There are picnic tables outside of each Cabin for guests to use. How convenient is that.............as breakfast overlooking the waterfront is a wonderful way to start your day. There are also a number of really nice restaurants close by. I would recommend Merced's which is conveniently next to Bayview Cabins for their excellent food and service. Steve and Sherri also recommended a fresh fish market just up the road. Having picked up some lobster, my dear friend prepared the best lobster roll I have ever had. I had a wonderful week at Bayview Cabins. I am already recommending it to my family and friends. I know I will be going back next summer. Thank you Steve and Sherri for your hospitality. read more

A beautiful place but PLEASE DON'T STAY THERE! I was happy to hear that I'm not the only one that had to deal with the owners attitude. After moving to the area, we planned a beautiful wedding in Naples. Most of our family the furthest coming from Las Vegas stayed at Bayview Cabins. From the moment I checked in I was treated with disrespect, I simply mentioned that my make up artist would be coming before the wedding and I immediately got pointed out the rules that she couldn't park there and had to pay a 10 fee, even though she would only be a hour. Words can't describe how a hour before my wedding I got yelled at by the owner because my brother pulled in because he didn't know where to park, and then followed with he needs to register and pay. My brother paid and was so fed up with how rude the owner was that he and his wife left. I was late for my own wedding and I have never been treated this badly in my whole life. The owners ruined my wedding and my whole family would agree, we were constantly being watched over our shoulder when we did nothing wrong. I could go on and on but I need to reflect on my happiness of my wedding and not let miserable people bring be down. My family and I recently spent a week at Bay View and had an amazing stay. There really is so much that this place offers! We had a clean well maintained cabin feet from the water with full access to paddle boats, canoes, and great swimming. There are restaurants, a shopping area, and marinas for boat rentals within walking distance. We rented a boat and docked it right in front of our cabin. There are no up charges for any of these amenities! When we wanted to stay in we had a full kitchen and bathroom with a cozy porch to sit in. Not to mention the view! We easily prepared our meals inside and there was a grill that all the guests could use. I'm surprised by the other reviews I would completely recommend this place, we definitely will be back! read more

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Bayview Cabins. They are located right on the water with beautiful views of the lake. There are canoes, paddle boats and row boats for your use. In addition, they have plenty of dock space should you choose to bring a boat. Cabins are nicely decorated with clean bedding and towels, as well as a screened in porch. There are several restaurants in the area, one of which is right next door so there is no need to drive. You can purchase fresh seafood down the road and enjoy your lunch/dinner at your picnic table taking in the beautiful views. I can't say enough good things about our stay here. I rented out just about the whole place with 20 people for a girls weekend and the owners Steve and Sherri were nothing but professional from helping us to use the canoes and pedal boats, taking us on a boat ride, and even putting the dinner we had brought in the oven so we could soak in the sun a little longer. The cabins are clean and roomy, and contained more amenities than expected. It was also nice having a couple bars and restaurants in walking distance. All in all, a great trip! We have stayed here before but new owner now!! They have done a wonderful job with updating the place. We arrived way ahead of schedule and they did all they could to accommodate us even went so far as to launch our boat for us. I loved that the owners are trying to modernize the place overall.
