I purchased my vehicle from Bayway Lincoln back in December 2024. I've waited a few months to write my review in the hopes I could leave 4 or 5 stars, but unfortunately, I just don't feel that is deserved in this case. Let me start by saying my last two vehicles have been purchased from Northside Lexus in Spring. They are FANTASTIC. From sales to service, this is what a car experience should be. They treat each and every guest like a VIP, always going above and beyond, without being asked or expected. This dealership has raised the bar. This time around, I wanted a different brand of vehicle. I've never purchased a Lincoln before, but assumed it was a similar level of luxury. So far, I'm really enjoying the car itself with a few minor complaints, nothing major. What is truly lacking in my experience is the dealership and service. The dealership itself does not give me any remote sense of a "luxury" vibe. No comfortable waiting area, just some chairs thrown outside the offices. It just feels, meh. Not an inviting place I'd want to go back to, bring my car for service, or recommend to others. Now, when I was first purchasing my vehicle, responses from the salesperson and what I believe is a manager were good. They worked with me to find the car I wanted for a price I was comfortable with. I picked up my car in the evening and it was difficult to do a full walk around inspection in the dark/dimly lit parking area. I didn't drive my car at all the first day it was sitting at home. The following day, when I went to run errands, I noticed some slight damage to the passenger side wheel area - scratches, scuffs, and missing paint. This car had been driven by the manager for about a month or so prior to my purchase. Upon further inspection, I also noticed a small tear in the leather on the center console. I've had this car for less than a few days and only driven it home. I am 100% certain these defects existed when the car was given to me. I reach out to the salesperson, who says the manager needs to handle. Totally fine. I get in touch with the manager and was asked to bring the car in for inspection. Sure. I bring it by at the end of December, was originally told it would be right after the new year for repairs. Manager took full responsibility and apologized. It's now almost the end of February. I've reached out no less than 4 or 5 times to get this resolved. I've asked if there is someone better to talk to. I always get a "I'm so sorry, let me follow up tomorrow, next week, etc." response. I'm just so disappointed and don't have the time to chase people down to make something right. I wouldn't recommend this dealership moving forward. It looks like I'll need to get the damage repaired myself and send the bill along to Bayway in the hopes this is taken care of, finally. read more

While I was concerned about tariffs and not being able to afford a vehicle in August this year. Gilbert had Eli in finance run the numbers and I left there in a daze pinching myself. The wife and I decided to purchase a 2024 or 2025 Lincoln Aviator and trade in a 2015 Lincoln Navigator. I did my research and homework. I got pre-approved for the loan with my Credit Union and researched the pricing for my trade in and the new car purchase. I then traveled to Bayway Lincoln on the Gulf Freeway. I met with the General Manager (Lance) who had assigned his salesman (Gilbert Thomas) to help me. I had talked to Gilbert by phone and provided him with a description of our desired car and specs. When we arrived, Gilbert had the car cleaned and waiting for our review. He then began to explain each of the bells and whistles for the car. There were a lot of bells and whistles but Gilbert patiently explained each to my wife and I. I felt bad that the review of them took so long for my wife so I told him that we would read about the others. He declined and patiently continued to explain each. When he finished, he walked us to his office and offered a price for the car that beat all my researched prices and expectations. He then had my trade in inspected and again beat my expectations. BUYER BEWARE! I flew from Dallas to Houston to purchase an SUV from this dealership 01/20/2024. I was excited about the black rims it had which looked really cool and it had a clean Carfax (no accidents reported)Upon arriving at the dealership I noticed the rims on the vehicle were severly bent and tires were bald. I pointed this out to them and they did nothing until I mentioned that I am sure it will not pass state inspection. They then finally decided to do something and switched out the rims. Obviously they never inspected it and so there goes my black rims that I thought made the truck look so nice.They switched to mount for a more standard pair of rims, but I said OK. It's fine, I got a new set of tire so I was going to call it even. Well, they took the car away and put it in the garage so that they can put on the new tires and rims during that process. I did not realize that the front bumper had some pretty significant damage after purchasing the vehicle. I noticed that the damage was so significant that the bumper on the driver side was a little loose. They mustve tried patching it up to conceal the damage. If you pushed on it a little it is pretty loose. I contacted them within an hour purchasing and said. Hey, I didn't realize that the front bumper was damaged because you guys had taken the car away to replace the tires. So obviously advertising the clean carfax is a joke as it cleqrly has been involved in dome sort of an accident..Well they said there's nothing that they can do to rectify the situation this. This dealership is very unethical. They even stick on extra charges above the purchase price to make money. they try to make you purchase. Specific warrants that they say iaare not optional like ETCH and PROPACK each coverage to boost up the price of the car. This is a very unethical dealership. I will upload pics as well. This review applies to the service department. I was referred to the Bayway Lincoln by a friend who told me it was a great place to get the oil changed in my F250. He mentioned he had a better experience there than at McCree Ford and it's a much easier drive for me so I thought I'd give it a try. I called before I showed up and specifically asked them if they could change the oil in my F250 and I asked if there was a wait. The lady on the phone, who was in the service dept, assured me they could change my oil and there was no wait. So, I make the 35min drive from Friendswood to get my oil changed. After arriving, Aysa Anzaldua (she was not the one that I spoke to on the phone) told me that they COULD NOT change my oil as they didn't have enough diesel technicians on site. I asked her how that was possible because I had just called 4in earlier and specifically asked the woman on the phone if they could change my oil in my F250 and she said yes. Aysa couldn't answer and asked if I wanted to speak to a manager- to which I said yes. After about 3-4 minutes she returned and told me that she spoke to the manager and they now COULD change my oil. I was then asked to sign a work order with no explanation of what the oil change included/didn't include- so I had to ask. After asking I was assured that my tires would be rotated at no additional charge as it's part of the service. I then wait 90minutes for my oil change and upon being checked out I asked the clerk where the tire rotation was on the receipt- she couldn't find it and said she'd get Aysa and ask her about it. Aysa then returns to the counter to tell me that they didn't rotate my tires because "it was an additional charge" and she never asked me if I was willing to pay for it so they didn't do it. What???? I'm sorry!??? You specifically told me it was free - after I asked you - and now you're telling me it's an additional charge, and you failed to perform the service because you chose not to ask me??? Nope. It's free, period. It's not my first F250 and not my first time to have my oil changed at express lane. She simply forgot to put it on the work order and wanted me to come back at a later date to have it done. So, this went from "we can change your oil" to "we can't change your oil" to we CAN change your oil" after talking to a manger, to "it includes a tire rotation for free" to "the tire rotation isn't free and we didn't do it" to "bring it back and we'll be nice enough to do it for free". That's exactly what happened. Unreal. 90minutes, 149.00 and a job half done- that's what Bayway Lincoln did for me. Looks like McCree Ford will keep my business after all. I didn't realize changing oil and rotating tires could be so difficult for a dealership. read more

This review is long overdue. This year in October we purchased a used Lincoln MKX from another dealership. We quickly fell in love with this car. When they say that Lincoln's are known for their luxury they aren't lying. This car has every bell and whistle that you can ask for. So, this is how we came to meet Shane Donaldson and some of the other staff at Bayway Lincoln. On my way home from work one day shortly after buying the car I noticed that the breaks were kind of hard to push down. The thing is, it kept getting harder and harder to stop. I was getting depressed because I was afraid that the car that we had fallen in love with may have just been someone else's problem that they traded in because they were noticing problems and wanted to dump it. One day on the way home while pushing the breaks the car continued to roll. At this point I KNEW something had to be done and NOW. This made us very grateful that we were suckers that bought the extended warranty on the car... fast talking finance manager! The very next day my husband kept the car and called Bayway Lincoln. He spoke with someone in the service department that came off as kind of rude to him. He was shocked because it was a Lincoln after all, and asked them shouldn't they back their product no matter who had originally purchased the car. Needless to say, he gave them an ear full. But with the limited number of Lincoln dealerships in this area he was stuck taking the car to them KNOWING that even though we had the extended warranty that we were most likely going to pay quite a bit out of pocket. Upon arriving he was greeted by Shane Donaldson not the employee that he had spoken to on the phone. Shane seemed to have been briefed on the conversation that my husband had with the other employee and was ready to assist my husband. He was very polite to and assured my husband that they would do all they could to fix the problem ASAP. At this point my husband's thought of this dealership started to change. Shane didn't talk down to him and make him feel like he was less of a human because we had bought our Lincoln used. Shane took the time to explain everything to him and make him feel like any other customer was made to feel. After it was all said and done, my husband had ordered new floor mats and a new GPS card for the car and the break issue turned out to be a recall that was never addressed. Lincoln fixed the problem quickly and we weren't out money after all. I know I say this a lot and it's only because it seems like this most of the time, but I feel like GREAT customer service is a dying breed. But again, a person comes along once in a while and changes that perception for me... this time that person was Shane Donaldson. Bayway is lucky to have an employee like him to represent their company. Anytime I need any kind of service on my Lincoln I will make the drive to Bayway every time. I have been to Bayway Lincoln several times. My mom and I started going there to look at Lincoln's pre-COVID, then went back a couple of times after that. I collect car brochures. The last time I went to Bayway Lincoln, the GM Lance Willis asked me and my mom "Are you really going to buy a car?" His attitude was confrontive and challenging. My mom told him we were really going to buy a car. He then turned us over to a salesman. I don't remember the salesman's name, but he was nice and we took a car for a test drive. We walked back into the showroom and told him we were going to think about the car we wanted to buy. Mr. Willis pulled the saleman aside and said something to him. The salesman returned to me and my mom and dismissed us. I asked him if I could get a brochure and he said in a rude tone, "you have enough brochures," and walked away. My mom was actually going to buy a car from Bayway. We liked Frederick very much and wanted to buy a car from him. My mom and I felt humiliated the last time we went to Bayway, and will never go back. No one should be treated the way we were treated anywhere, much less at a dealership where we had planned to buy a $70K car! read more

My mother-in-law recently purchased a brand new 2020 Lincoln Aviator from BAYWAY LINCOLN. It has been having about a penny size amount of oily soot drip out after driving. It's been doing this since they day after it was purchased. It now has just under 3k miles. It has stained driveway and garage flooring. The dealership claims it is "normal" every time we take it in which obviously it isn't. They say they're is nothing that can be done about it and that "it's supposed to do that". Obviously it isn't. Lots of excuses why the process is slow. They drag their feet if you decide not to buy. Nothing is as it seems. Lots of games, "I have to speak with the manager", "The person who does that is not in today", etc.... once you're not interested anymore everyone is too busy to help. I'm giving this place 3 stars instead of 2 because of Shane. I've been servicing my vehicle here for about a year getting a oil change and tires rotated. The first time things went smoothly. The second time also smoothly. In fact, I thought they messed up the oil change but I bought the vehicle back for them to do an inspection on the job and Shane helped tremendously. They were able to diagnose my radiator was leaking and topped off the fluids without charge. However, the most recent time, I scheduled an appointment and showed up on time and told them to skip the car wash. Things were good until 2 weeks after the job I noticed a LOUD squeaking noise when pressing the breaks. I took it to Discount Tire and they informed me the tires inside tread was worn and not been rotated how they should have been. This cost me an extra $40 on top of the $40 I had originally paid Bayway to ROTATE THE TIRES. I've not bought a vehicle from here and maybe the experience is okay, but be careful servicing your vehicle here. Not properly rotating tires (and not disclosing you didn't do it) can get dangerous fast. read more

September 24, 2021 To Whom It May Concern, I would first like to say that I know I purchased a pre-owned vehicle and I do not expect it to be perfect. I would also like to say that I understand a car dealership is a business and it needs to make a profit to be successful. Bayway Lincoln was advertising a 2018 Jeep (with approximately 28,500 miles). I reached out I think in June maybe early July to inquire about this vehicle. I was not sure I wanted to jump into a new car payment or not so I waited. In July/August I was sent a picture (attached to email) of a Jeep and I do think it is the same jeep that was advertised earlier. The information stated that the Jeep was still available and at a lower price. The contact from BayWay asked if I was still interested. I was and I made plans to come to dealership on that Friday. I was greeted, helped and immediately directed to the right location on the property. I believe my sales associate was named Allie. I was also helped by another lady to which I'm sorry to say I cannot remember her name...maybe Jacqueline. I drove the Jeep and I took a walk around the jeep. I wanted the Jeep. I purchased the Jeep. This is the first Jeep I have owned. The first picture is the photo I was sent to get my attention. Notice it has silver wheels. The Jeep also looks silver, but could be white. I asked if this was the same Jeep because it looked different to me for some reason. The vehicle was very clean and looked very nice. I was NOT told about 2 places that had some minor damage. The angle of the picture does not show the dent in the bumper. I noticed the next day that the front driver's side bumper was damaged and the back passenger bumper had minor damage. Notice in the 2nd picture there are different tires and these black rims are fine. It is just different. The spare tire which appears to be brand new has a silver rim. I would like the spare tire rim to match the other tires. I also have discovered in recent days, (hurricane, I live in Galveston) the vehicle leaks. That the vehicle kept having a wet smelling odor. I began to investigate and found, after taking the entire back area apart, that the jeep was full of water. A friend showed me that there were plugs and I took them out and the water drained and I was able to lay everything out and get it dry. Now, all of this water could be from the Hurricane. This Jeep has a soft top and that might be an issue. I know that this happens on some jeeps...leakage with soft top. Another issue is that the back part of the soft top has something wrong and it will not close properly. I feel there is a problem with the clips or how the back fits into the grooves. The biggest issue I have is the backseat. I feel they sold me an unsafe vehicle. The backseat does not latch down. I feel this is potentially a dangerous situation. If a small child or pet rides in this seat it possibly life threatening if I am in an accident or slam on my brakes. I really hope that this can be fixed. I am worried about the safety of my passengers. When I was purchasing the vehicle everything went really smoothly for me the finance manager was great. It was late and it was a Friday evening. I am sure no one, not even me, wanted to stay and teach me how to take the roof off and put back on. I love the Jeep, I am keeping the Jeep. I am only writing to you let you know that I feel like they were not honest about the vehicle. I understand there is nothing you can do about this and I honestly do not know what you could do about this. I actually would have purchased the vehicle even with the minor damage especially if they would have offered to fix it. I just do not know why they did not tell me everything that was wrong with the vehicle. Just would have been nice to know and not be surprised. Attached you will you will find the pictures.
