We went to Burton's for the first time for my family reunion dinner. We had about 50 people and it…read morewas one of very few places in the area to be able to accommodate all of us. The place is very cute, simple, and kind of out on its own which is nice. Parking is plenty. I booked the place so I went before the time I said we'd be there to make sure everything was in order. When I walked in, everything was set up nicely with menus and ice water. There was plenty of space for everyone to socialize. The staff was patient with everyone getting settled and ordering. They also made sure to put everyone's order in at once so it didn't come out of the kitchen sporadically. Food had mixed reviews from our crew. Those who got the salmon, pork chops, steak, and fish seemed to enjoy their food--especially the salmon. Those who got quesadillas, burgers, sandwiches were less than impressed. My quesadilla has a bag clip fall out of it and the pineapple "salsa" was just pineapple and bell peppers so I was disappointed there. People said the burgers tasted like meat on a bun--no seasoning. Those who got soft drinks didn't get refills and we were disappointed to learn that the bar had closed as it was one of the reasons we chose here. The staff did fairly well for the amount of people we had plus the rest of the restaurant. We managed to get in and out in about 2 hours. I am so-so on choosing to eat here again since some loved it and others were not impressed. For the area, it was pretty good. Definitely had its pros and cons.

We were seated promptly - it's a large space, would make you think about a barndominium. Staff was friendly, and attentive. Always a plus. I ordered their bone-in pork chops in a brown sugar marinade, with a loaded bake potato, and my wife had their all day breakfast (2 eggs, bacon, toast, hash brown casserole, and a waffle on the side). The pork chops were grilled to perfection and delicious! The baked potato was very good and very large. The star of the whole meal was their hash brown casserole! Do not sleep on this! It's made with (I think) pepper Jack cheese, and it was amazing! If you are in the area, well worth stopping in to check out. Looks like they have a nice outdoor patio, so I'm sure it would be even better in the summer.
