It's just not good. With a strong competitor across the street the wings here should be flavorful abd stand out. We found the opposite. Our fries were soggy and the spicy galbi fries were boring to have about. We told ouour waiter about one of the wings and she got the manager who took them off the bill. The food just wasn't good and not worth the money. I think they need more experienced staff and they should have someone watching and testing the food. The place is big and accommodates group. Laid back ambiance and the bathroom is clean.

    Soy Garlic Wings

Wings were good taste wise. Soy garlic was a lot stronger than from other restaurants that I have had. Cheesling flavor was really good to its a powdered cheese. The problem I think would be the inconsistency in wings and batter. Although the flavors were all there some of the pieces were all batter and little meat. It is also on the pricier side.

BBQ Chicken's newest location in Astoria has similar aesthetics to the one located in Ktown. It has a sort of minimalist cafeteria slash bar feel to it. There are various tv screens throughout the restaurants playing different sports and KPop music videos. As you enter, there are two kiosks where you can place orders for takeout. Very convenient. Inside there are plenty of tables and a small bar area. I love Korean BBQ chicken and have been to the Ktown location many times. This location has a very similar menu but does not have the convenient grab and go meals. Everything is made to order which means you'll find it is a bit of a wait to get your order. I came by during their first week of having opened and the place was popping. The kitchen could not get orders out fast enough. There were many people ordering take out at the kiosks. I ordered a small order of Soy garlic boneless chicken ($12.95), Fried Dumplings ($8.95) and Chicken Alfredo pasta ($15.95). The soy garlic chicken was tender with a light crunchy coating. Soy garlic flavor was mildly sweet. It was quite good. The dumplings were okay. Not as flavorful as I've had elsewhere but not bad. Paired it with some chili oil and it was jamming. The Chicken Alfredo was really tasty, and I was surprised by how much I liked it. The portion was really big and could easily be shared. It had slices of very tender boneless chicken and the Alfredo sauce was slightly garlicky and very cheesy. Overall, a very satisfying meal. So glad they finally opened and hope they do well.

Happy to have this in Astoria! The wings are made to order here compared to their Ktown location where they also have a grab and go bucket. It will take about 15-20 mins for the wings to come out, but it's super fresh and piping hot! Decent size on the fries as well. Servers were very attentive and this is a large space. It was a little confusing when you first walk in because there are kiosks to the right which are just to order take out. You have to catch the contact with the servers and they'll seat you for dining in.

We always order BB.Q chicken at work and last night we had the chance to go check it out in person. I had a great experience. It on busy 30th Avenue in Astoria. The restaurant has bar and table top seating. What was most noticeable was the friendly and attentive service. We were checked on as we sat down and shown how the ordering and payment worked and throughout the meal. The restaurant and bathrooms were clean. For the food we had the rose ddeok-bokki was delicious as always. It's creamy and has a hint of spice. Definitely my favorite. We also had the spicy wings and soy garlic. Both very good and served with radish. For drinks we had the soju cocktails which were ok. Lychee and the signature. Overall it was an amazing experience and I will definitely be back!

Lychee cocktail drink - definitely remember to mix it when you get it but it's good!

So excited that there is finally a BBQ Chicken in Astoria. I used to make the trek to Koreatown for it and it wouldn't be as fresh by the time I got home an hour later. I came with a couple friends after our workout and everything happened in a really timely manner despite the restaurant being pretty full since it opened just a few days back. We got the half-half special sauce and original plus garlic soy and spicy sauce. We also got a Ddeok-Bokki with cheese which was absolutely perfect. They say it'll be 20-25 minutes to cook the chicken, but when in good company, time honestly seems to fly by. I have to say my favorite combo is probably original chicken and garlic soy chicken - the special sauce is good, but definitely on the sweet chili sauce side. The interior is pretty typical, though it is very clean since the restaurant just opened. Also the servers were really kind and attentive - extra napkins, taking plates away at a good time, etc... I don't expect half of these things, but they definitely went above and beyond. One thing to note is that the kiosks are take-out only. there's a huge label on them that somehow all three of us missed when we were about to order, but noticed and then took a seat to order normally. At least we knew what we wanted to order after mulling over it in front of a screen for so long. Overall, I'm really excited to have quality Korean fried chicken in Astoria and will be back whenever I can be. Definitely got that post-workout protein in, and in the most delicious way.

I ordered the honey garlic wings and spicy wings- they were delicious! The honey garlic wings were so dreamy! The wait time was very short contrary to the several reviews complaining about wait time. Excited to have Bb.q Chicken here in Astoria and don't need to get my Korean Fried Chicken fix in Ktown!

The first thing I noticed was the plates. I actually looked them up hoping to buy them but they're custom made for the restaurant and feature their own logo. Sad!! The banchan was excellent, especially the kimchi. It was very fresh and was one of the highlights of the meal. What I liked most about the food overall was how clean everything tasted. Nothing felt greasy, heavy or too salty. The flavors were balanced and very comforting. We ordered the pork bossam, kimchi pancake, and chicken kalguksu. The pork was tender and had a clean flavor that really let the quality of the meat come out. The kimchi pancake was topped with a poached egg which was interesting.... Personally, the poached egg addition wasn't really for me, but my friend loved it. The pancake itself was crispy flavorful. The chicken kalguksu was exactly what I want when I'm craving comforting and warm food at 11 PM after watching a musical. The broth was light but flavorful, and the noodles had a good chew. It felt homemade!! The ambience was very very cozy and nice. The interior is warm and cozy and intimate, it's great for a night with friends, or even a date night!! I love any spot with soft lighting. Even late at night, the restaurant felt relaxed and inviting. Service was also great. The food came out quickly, and every staff member that came to our table was very friendly.

What arrived was a half-cup of what I can only describe as lightly flavored hot water, bravely tinted to resemble broth. No vegetables, no texture, no effort--just a cloudy liquid that seemed to apologize for its own existence. Then came the main course, which somehow managed to lower expectations even further. The beef--if that's what it was--had the remarkable quality of tasting like absolutely nothing. Not bad, not good... just absent. It's almost impressive how something can be cooked, plated, and served while completely avoiding flavor. The side dishes? Minimal. The sauce? A tiny smear, presumably symbolic. You get a masterclass in how to charge restaurant prices for cafeteria-level disappointment.
