Came in with a party of 4 for my b-day. We were greeted by host and sat towards the back bathroom area. They have there curtains to keep tables separated. Lucky for us people didn't sit there til after we were about to leave. We ordered the Deluxe ($39.99)/person: (Left over charge $5.99/person) 01.Prime brisket 02. Beef belly 03. Premium Prime chuck eye roll 4. Pork belly 05. Beef belly 06. Australian lamb 07. Wagyu beef eye round Our broths were Spicy Katsuobushi and Tonkotsu broth (pork based broth). You allowed only 2 and they bring the meat out on large slab plates. They don't have the plates labeled it's easy to forget what plate has what meat. The broth heats up with two burners controlled by the sever. In the middle they have rice, noodles, and veggies to cook with your items. Everything was good my only complaint is that I enjoyed eating with my friends but would've preferred separate sections to cook our items. My friend wanted to cook her veggies but it's just mixed in with everything. So you don't really know whose is whose. Also she doesn't like pork so she only used the one spicy broth. The server does bring broth to keep items cooking. Other than that everything else was good.

I have clearly taught my kids to love Asian culture and food. They both requested to go to this place for a family dinner. Shabu shabu is basically various flavors of broth to cook your chosen selection of meats. They provide a bar of self-serve accompaniments like veggies, proteins such as tofu, rice and other sauces like ponzu or peanut sauce. I highly recommend this since it's a nice interactive way to eat with the family. Careful if you have young children since the hot pot is on the table. You can choose from a variety of meat options such as chicken, pork belly, beef belly, chuck beef in finely sliced portions so they cook quickly in the broth. We always leave stuffed and having spent a nice time together as a family. The staff is always helpful to check on your progress and quite attentive to help serve you.

Loved this spot. My bf and I were so excited to find a shabu spot and this place did not disappoint. Coming from Florida where we can't find it at all, this was such a nice surprise. The meats were great, the broth was delicious and the veggies to choose from were great as well. If we visit again, we will be back.

We went for AYCE lunch. It's a big place with plenty of tables. I like the curtains between each table, makes it feel private. The waitress was really nice. We got the 2 brisket and eye roll only because if you don't eat every meat you order they charge you for what's left so we were pacing ourselves. And it was plenty, probably could have started out with 3 servings instead. There was of course other meats we could have asked for included in the price like chicken or beef belly but it would have been too much. We also got a bunch of veggies from the buffet. I love mushrooms so loaded my plate up with that. I wasn't crazy about the fish and shrimp cakes, they tasted super super fishy. Also mushrooms were fresh except the shiitake were dried which made them very chewy when cooked. The broths were flavorful but not overpowering. And it was so easy to cook your own food! I like the experience, I left very full.

Hotpot and a bottle of hot sake.

Delicious food, calm atmosphere, and great service. It was my first time trying Jin Shabu, but the experience was wonderful and I can't wait to visit again. They offer a sort of cook-it-yourself experience where you order up to two kinds of broths, and they bring them to you in a large pot that goes over your tabletop grill. You receive meats from your server, and have access to a self-serve bar of vegetables, noodles, seafood, and spices. Because it is so customizable you can really experiment with flavors and come up with some delightful combinations. I was a big fan of the brisket and octopus in the spicy broth, and my fiancée enjoyed the pork belly in the sweet broth. Both pots also complemented each other quite well! My favorite part of the ambiance was the privacy curtains. Because tables are all next to each other I imagine it would be easy to see what other diners are doing, but the curtains add a sense of privacy that made us feel like we were almost dining alone. Our service was also excellent. We had several people working in the restaurant come by during the meal to make sure we had all the broth, water, and meats that we wanted. Definitely try Jin Shabu! It is delicious and well worth the money spent!

So yummy and good variety! I love a hot pot place with self-serve veggies and seafood! I was grateful that they let me come in with my luggage and sit by myself :)

I can't believe I've never reviewed this place, I've been here probably 10-15 times. Hot pot location, their meats are always good quality here. I really like their bar in the middle with all the extras you can get, seafood, noods, rice, veggies, etc.. you can get as much or as little as you'd like! Always a good time coming here! Everyone is so polite and patient. We were never without water or never waiting on someone. And the prices aren't crazy! Between here and their sister location, this company is amazing!

We went for lunch and it was awesome! All the ingredients tasted fresh and there were lots of options. We went with the spicy broth over the mala and it wasn't very strong. The staff were all nice and the inside was clean. Definitely recommend this place for a fun filling lunch!

Hotpot...check! Meats...check! Soju...check check! AYCE at a fair price with ingredients so pure and fresh, you'll want to shake a stick at them! But please don't :o I'm talking crisp veggies, bright colored meats, and choice of broth base to twirl your senses. Condiments in abundance to accompany your shabu shabu swirl swirl. Wonderful clean environment to perch yourself and enjoy. Wow! I need some soju to accompany the FREE Hinoki box; a wooden bamboo box that cooks the meat through the hot pot steam. Delicious! And somehow eating here feels healthy. Please take a look at the photos to give you an insight to the delectable amazing treats that await you at Jin Shabu. Must make mention that Miss Kayling whom has given extremely wonderful service is a huge plus to coming here again and again. Please note: *I earned my angels wings here *prices differ from lunch to dinner so keep this in mind. *there is a 2 hour limit to ayce so act accordingly ;) *plenty of parking as located in a large shopping center Thank you for reading! Stay safe while enjoying life

Jin Shabu Review: A Carnivore's Paradise with a Side of Zen Nestled in the heart of Chandler, AZ, Jin Shabu is where the art of shabu-shabu meets the spirit of communal dining. If you're a meat lover, this place is your Mecca. The moment you walk in, you're greeted by the sight of thinly sliced beef, marbled to perfection, laid out like edible art on black platters. The Meat: The beef selection is a feast for the eyes and the palate. Each slice promises a melt-in-your-mouth experience, with just the right amount of fat to ensure every bite is juicy and flavorful. It's like they've managed to capture the essence of steak in a form so delicate, you'd think it was crafted by a sushi master. The Broth: The broths are where things get interesting. You can choose from a variety of bases, from the traditional clear broth to a spicy miso that'll wake up your taste buds. Each pot arrives with a wooden lid, reminiscent of a Japanese hot spring bath, keeping your meal warm and inviting. The Sides: The sides are an adventure in themselves. A bowl of rice with a hint of seasoning, a plate of veggies including enoki mushrooms, cabbage, and tofu, all waiting to be dipped into your bubbling broth. And let's not forget the dumplings, little pockets of joy that add a comforting touch to your meal. The Ambiance: The setting is minimalist yet warm, with wooden tables and modern decor that make you feel like you're in a chic, yet cozy eatery in Tokyo. It's perfect for both a romantic date or a lively gathering with friends. The Verdict: Jin Shabu isn't just about eating; it's about experiencing food in a communal, almost ritualistic manner. It's where the simplicity of ingredients meets the complexity of flavors, all simmering together in a pot of love. If you're in Chandler and craving something beyond the usual, Jin Shabu is your go-to for a dining experience that's both intimate and indulgent. Just remember, here, patience is a virtue - the slow cook of shabu-shabu rewards those who wait. Rating: If I had to rate this experience, I'd give it a solid 4.5 out of 5 hot pots. The only reason it's not a perfect score? Because perfection is an ever-moving target, and Jin Shabu keeps you coming back to chase it.

    Meg L.

The best part about this place is that the buffet line is full of veggies. I love that you can get as much as you want and don't have to wait. The sauces are also delicious. The meats came out fast and sliced perfectly thin so it cooked so quickly. The tables are spaced apart and so it didn't feel cramped with too many people. 10/10 recommend

With rising food prices, I thought it was a great value. The service was excellent, which can sometimes be hit or miss at small casual spots, and the ambience was nice. The broth and ingredients were flavorful, and I appreciated the sauces available at the table. The fire-broiled soup was aromatic without being overpowering. The food did take a little while to come out, and the broth was slightly gritty. Maybe possibly due to the soup I chose. I also noticed the bowls are shallow and packed with meat and vegetables, so there wasn't much actual soup. When I asked about it, I was told additional broth would be an extra charge, which was a bit disappointing. Potential concerns: The orders are limited to 1 dish per person (that means 4 dishes per order, we had 4 people) This normally isn't a problem, but we had to wait 20 minutes or more between each order. In the end we took 1 hour 50 minutes to finish food and desert, which was dangerously close to the 2hr time limit. This place was pretty understaffed and had slow service for a Saturday. Food: (4/5) The beef was fresh and well marbled, though it came frozen. The hotpot soup bases didn't seem or taste house made. Beef was very thinly sliced and tender. Lots of other options are available at the food bar like bamboo shoots, mushrooms, salad, instant noodles, sauces, and ice cream. Service: (2/5) Water refills were uncommon and our server didn't take away our old water jugs and only occasionally took away dirty plates, which left the table cluttered and messy. They also didn't offer to change our grill plate, and also walked off before we could ask for a griddle change. Ambiance: (5/5) Restaurant was mostly clean despite the slow service. Bathrooms were fancy and well kept. Multiple neon signs and purple lighting for a nice vibe. Music was playing in the background. The pricing was decent, but I still expect better service.

Our…read moreserver was great and really helped us figure out what to order since there were a lot of options on the menu. She was super attentive too and kept refilling our drinks throughout the meal. We tried a mix of specialty rolls and more basic rolls. Most of the specialty rolls were around $15 each, while the basic rolls were under $10. The spicy tuna rolls were especially good for the price because they were cheap, but still came out huge. Overall the portions were very generous and the prices weren't bad at all. I got the Hell Fire roll and it definitely lived up to the name. I handle spicy food really well and even for me this thing was extremely spicy. It was almost painfully hot, but honestly I kind of enjoyed the challenge, It was also really good besides just being spicy, so I'd definitely get it again. The inside also had a cool vibe with all the colorful lighting and it wasn't too busy when we went which was nice. Most of our sushi came out almost immediately. The fried rolls understandably took a little longer since they had to be made fresh. My only small complaint is I wish everything would of came out closer to the same time, because some of us already had food while we were still waiting on the fried rolls. Overall, really good food, huge portions, fair prices and great service, definitely a spot I'd come back to.

Now the menu has been consolidated to mainly Japanese and Chinese fare and they've seemed to streamline their service efficiently. The food tasted great. They were so nice, and even offered my kids a refill of their lemonade on their way out. Decor is still incredible inside, great place for both a nice meal at reasonable price for value - these were the largest avacado rolls my kids have ever seen, which they loved the lunch there this time! Will be back soon!

The two of us ordered two mini hot pots but fair warning, I think one mini hot pot is enough for two people, especially if you order some sides. We ordered siu mai (frozen) and their house-made spicy wontons. For the hot pot, we got one with a sha cha based and the other with the house spice blend. I really liked the House Spice Blend. Not a bad hot pot spot but I'm not sure I would be back given that there are other great places nearby that makes a good hot pot. Service here was attentive but sparse. The day we came, it seemed like there was only one server. I saw four people walk away after not being seated. I wish this place much success.

A party in our group has a dairy allergy, so we did have to go back and forth with the server to confirm what can and cannot be eaten. It took a bit of time but the server was patient. Some things were good and some weren't. The mini hotpot was good. I got the mushroom broth and chose the chuck eye roll for the meat. It's a good enough of food and my husband and I ended up sharing it. We also liked the spicy cucumber salad. The spicy pork and shrimp dumplings were disappointing. I know I can't compare it to din tai fung but these were hard and undercooked. The pork and chive dumplings were pretty tasty. We got to try a pan fried bao and it was decent but not worth getting IMO. Our friend got the kimchi fried rice and said it was good. Portion is generous. It's hit or miss.

PK Shabu has to be one of my favorite hot pot spots! I hadn't been to hot pot in a couple of years,…read moreand honestly I never really understood the hype until I came here. The broths are so flavorful, and I love that it's all-you-can-eat. When you sit down, you order your broth, choice of meat, and appetizers from your server, all of which are included with the unlimited hot pot. After that, you grab a plate and head to the buffet where you can load up on vegetables, noodles, seafood, and so many other options. They have a huge seafood selection, which is one of my favorite parts. There's also a station where you can make your own dipping sauce exactly how you like it, plus a little dessert section with cookies to finish off your meal. The atmosphere is super laid back, making it a great spot to stop by after work without feeling like you need to dress up. They had the World Cup playing on some TVs and anime on others, which made the vibe even more fun. My only downside was their pricing. When I first went, they had a "summer deal" where unlimited hot pot was around $25. When I came back in July, the promotion had already ended. I think calling it a "June special" instead of a "summer deal" would have been less confusing. Overall, I definitely recommend PK Shabu if you're looking for a great all-you-can-eat hot pot spot with quality broths, tons of fresh options, and a relaxed atmosphere!

I'm also an avid sukiyaki broth lover so I'm glad they have it here. The sauce bar is amazing and there's so much variety to make different combinations. It's clean here which is a plus and it's big so it's roomy to get your veggies and meat.

There is a seating area to wait for your food, and plenty of seating. You order at the counter and your food is brought to your table. The gentleman that greeted us was super friendly and helpful. One of the things that I immediately lived about this place was that many of the dishes have sizes. I almost never finish a regular size plate, and ordered the smaller serving size, which was still a lot of food (my son has to finish mine for me). The portions were quite large. I loved the little extra touch of the flower garnish. I ordered the jerk chicken with fried plantains. This jerk chicken comes in a sauce, rather than the dry rub you sometimes see in jerk chicken. It was soooo yummy and so tender it literally just fell off the bone. The fried plantains were also delish. My son had the curry. He loved it! We drove an hour to eat here, and we are more than satisfied with the food and service. The service was very friendly and extremely quick. Once we had ordered our food, I went to the bathroom and by the time I got back we had already received our banchan, shrimp tempura appetizer, and bulgogi, followed by everything else shortly after. All the food came out fresh and the bulgogi came out sizzling on a hot skillet ready for us. All the meat we ate was very tender and flavorful. The yukgaejang (spicy beef and vegetable soup, 육개장) was slightly different than what we are used to, as it was more like small slices of beef rather than shredded; however, this is not a complaint as the meat was still extremely tender and almost melted in my mouth. Overall the soup was delicious and exactly what we were looking for. I also wanted to mention the banchan and how fresh it was. There honestly was not a dish that we didn't enjoy, even the fried chicken was amazing (we were so full we had to bring it home). My mother even said she would eat there everyday if we lived closer. At the end of the meal, we were brought watermelon slices. I was tempted to ask how they picked their watermelons or where they got them from, because they were soooo sweet and delicious! It was refreshing after eating all that food. Overall, we will be back 100% and ready to try more menu items. I highly recommend that if you enjoy authentic Korean food, you come here as this is now our #1 spot over Hodori in Mesa.
