We walked in at 10 o'clock. They have online that they're supposed to be open till midnight. We had 21 people in our group. When they got finished making our food, she brought the food bagged up. She asked which door are you leaving out of? We had to ask for silverware because we're staying in a hotel and she didn't give us enough. When we opened our food, we were missing someone's food. We had food that was smashed, food that was turned upside down and all the sauce was leaking out. Half of the orders were wrong. I would never come back here.

I've eaten here a few times when I'm in the area and thoroughly enjoy this place. The chicken has always been good, the breading is something to write home about and the flavors of sauces are excellent. This was the first time I was in the area with my wife, and she thought it was excellent as well. The service here was quite good and we will definitely be back at some point in the future.

We had a carry out tonight and got very disappointed with the galbi boneless in regard to the taste and the food quality. It was overcooked and the meat was so dry and chewy. I was very excited about bbq chicken in Cincinnati as a Korean but I'm unsure if I would go back there again. The staff was very friendly.

On the recommendation of a co-worker I visited this place for lunch. While not far from downtown Cincinnati office, I hadn't noticed it before. I over ordered because I couldn't make up my mind (so I have supper too). The aroma and visual were excellent and the flavor matched. Service was very attentive. I'll be back again to experiment with the menus options!

Love bb.q franchise HATE this location. Ordered pickup for lunch and I was about 3 flats in before I noticed pink in my meat close to the bone. It dried down to a clear red since I set it aside. It's a chicken restaurant that served me undercooked chicken. I hope I don't get sick. Also the sweet potato fries were all either too thin or too short. It's like I got a bag full of the ends of the fries.

This is based off a pickup order. I placed an order online for 8 boneless spicy wings and cheesling fries. I wish the cheesling fries had a description. I was going off the picture. With that being said these ended up being straight cut fries with a sauce drizzle and lots of powdery cheese. Super tasty. $8.95 seemed appropriate for the portion although I work a few blocks away and wouldn't get them again unless I was splitting them with someone. I'm usually a bone-in wing person vs boneless but since it was a work lunch I didn't want to deal with using my hands. The boneless Nuggets were very crispy. The spicy sauce was good but I wanted a tiny bit more. I might try the Mala ones next time. Also it was disappointing that the picture online showed the boneless wings completely coated with sauce but when I got them the sauce was just drizzled on. I would have appreciated more sauce. A big wishlist though was a smaller portion. The smallest amount you can get it 8 pc which I think is $14. I'd love an option of wings and fries - maybe 4 PC with fries for $12ish? My meal was $22.95 and it's too much food for me to make this a go to lunch spot. With that being said I think it's be a good carryout dinner spot but I know that can be hard downtown. If I were bringing dinner home after work I could see myself picking up a to go dinner here.

    Hot spicy. Nice kick.

Decent. Pros: Chicken is really good - crisp and flavorful - I had hot spicy and it had a good kick Nice location - high ceilings, decent ambiance Cons: Soda was flat Fries were mediocre at best, especially for $6 Long wait time - about 25-30 at a weekday lunch Expensive (check prices in advance) I would consider returning if they can decrease their wait times and up the service a bit. And I would only order chicken.

Been wanting to try this new fried chicken place downtown Cincinnati on 4th street and it did not disappoint. Came in on a Friday for lunch and the space was clean and staff were so friendly and patient. Ordered the half original crispy and half and spicy original wings with a side of fries. Love the crunchiness of the wings. I prefer the spicy wings because it has just the right amount of heat. The food took a little bit but that's how you know it's made to order and that they don't make the chicken wings in bulk sitting in the back under a heat lamp. Highly recommend!

bb.q, a super cool concept with the appeal of a korean restaurant and feel of a modern sports bar. The staff were amazing - though obviously busy with delivery and takeout orders, they were attentive and accommodating. Denise and Markeith both helped me last night and were incredibly energetic, informative, and proactive. I loooved the honey garlic wings. They were absolutely delicious! I am a garlic fanatic, and appreciated the authentic garlic flavor. They came out hot, crispy, and juicy - everything I crave of korean style fried chicken. I also enjoyed the cheesling fries. The flavor of the cheese dusting is subtly sweet, and nicely compliments the secret sauce. I picked up on a hint of cinnamon that nicely plays well with the cheese dusting. It's good alone, but I recommend it with ranch. Lastly, the rose ddeok-bokki. I ordered it after seeing another customer having some when I came in. It looked so good that I asked her what it was, and she raved about it. For me, it was a bit spicy. It's described as a fish and rice cake, but seemed more like a dense noodle in texture. It has a rebound to it that makes it chewier. It's for sure worth trying, especially if wanting something new or authentic. Pro Tip: bb.q is a no brainer for a weekend dinner run, especially for large parties. I was surprised to see such a cool spot in OTR with availability. As I dined, a large group came in and was quickly seated and served pitchers of beer. Shortly after, they're enjoying wings and watching the game. #winning I'll definitely be back and would recommend.

I'm giving this four stars and possibly being a bit generous because the food is outstanding. The wing sauces are unique and the chicken itself tastes good. The sides are solid as well. It's pricy (think $15+ per person for lunch), but I don't mind if the quality stays high. The big issue here is service and timing. While the servers are extremely friendly, there is no indication that table service is available, and the "to-go line" frequently takes several minutes per person to move through. We went around 11:30 on a Friday and waited probably 20 minutes in line and another 60-75 minutes for our food. They were out of several items on the menu, and the fountain for drinks doesn't work, so they only have cans. There also does not appear to be any way to order ahead via phone or online, as multiple phone calls went unanswered. I'm hoping most of the critiques here are kinks that can be worked out in the process, because the food is worth it. But I would probably give it some time.

If I could give one *7* star rating to a single menu item (across all my reviews) -- it's Pony's…read morewings. The fries are superbly potato-ey (sad to say that a distinguishing factor these days is a potato tasting line a potato...). Service is always great. My only gripe is that at the end of the day it's a little loid/boisterous -- but the crowd's always friendly. I'm deducting 2 stars for them showing sports on the TVs -- leaving us at 5/5 stars. (P.S. get the purple drank -- it's a taste you don't see around much -- reminds me of grape BubbleTape gum ... if anyone remembers that)

Absolutely pick me up and fly me to Cincy on a Friday for this fish and chips!!!!…read more I was in town for flying pig and was told the pony had the best fish Friday around. I made damn sure to stop in at 12 on the dot to find out first hand. The fish was well seasoned and crispy on the outside will tender, flaky, and juicy on the inside. The fries were crispy and well seasoned and the damn tartar sauce was even delicious. The portion is huge and while good enough to hog all to yourself it's big enough for 2 people. The server/bartender was very polite and helpful, and even held my cc after leaving it during my visit because I was so high on a crispy flavor cloud I didn't even care how I would pay for the rest of my trip. All in all an absolute must visit for fish Friday or honestly any day of the week. I hear the wings are also something to write home about.
