bb.q Chicken has quickly become one of my favorite spots, and my latest visit reminded me why. I brought my parents, who were in from New York, and we somehow had the entire place to ourselves--perfect for introducing them to Korean fried chicken. The staff was extremely friendly, welcoming, and super informative, which made the experience even better. I tried the Cheesling style for the first time after working my way through most of the menu, and wow--think crunchy Cheetos meets perfectly fried chicken. It's wild and delicious. The staff also let me sample a few sauces I hadn't tried yet, which was a great touch. And definitely bring some patience--they'll tell you themselves that the secret to how good this chicken is... is time. It's worth the wait. bb.q (Best of the Best Quality) Chicken lives up to the name. Albeit with a few caveats, this Korean chicken spot is worth trying and may have you coming back. The service here was really good. The lady explained that they marinate the chicken for 36 hours prior cooking, which is some dedication for chicken wings. Most wing spots or Chinese restaurants don't provide this preparation for wings. Also this place is more of a to-go restaurant, though they do have a few tables. The chicken in my opinion is some of the best wings you'll get in town. It holds a lot of sauce, tastes great, and one of the largest wings you can find. Not only are the boneless wings very large, they surprisingly have less breading than the bone-in wings! I don't know if I've ever seen that before! After ordering, you get an automated text when your food is ready. I waited 15 mins the two times I came and shopped at Publix next door in the meantime. Ok so the caveat: The prices are higher than your usual chicken wing restaurant. An 8pcs bone-in for $15 ($28 for 16pcs) and boneless for $13 ($24 for 16pcs) by itself is a hard sell for most folks where you can get wings cheaper elsewhere. At the same time, I did not feel like I got ripped off because the quality is so top notch for wings. Personally, I will be going back during their lunch specials where getting a meal for $13 is more feasible. For the picky eaters, keep in mind it's a Korean restaurant when considering the flavors. I personally love it, but you will not find your ranch/honey mustard/lemon pepper flavors here. That being said, they honey garlic and secret sauce were awesome and I will be trying it again when I go back. Great food with great flavors and preparation? I've been here twice now and I'll be back again for sure. You're definitely paying more, but you're getting even more than that. P.S. - Also 10% off if you're first responder or military. This is a small restaurant with limited seating so be sure to call ahead and order because it's a 20 minute wait.. all the chicken is marinated for 36 hours and the fat is cut off, then it's cooked fresh once it has been ordered. Absolutely marvelous and well worth the 20 minute wait! We sat in the picnic table out front and enjoyed a marvelous lunch of the Original chicken, so juicy and tender. Hands-down, the best Korean BBQ experience! This was our first time here, I went for the Golden original boneless chicken with French fries and my wife had the small (8 pcs) Gangnam style boneless. We also had Sweet potato fries, Kimchi and one order of Dumplings. Please note that everything is made to order and there is a 20 minute wait but you will be notified via text if you choose not to wait in the restaurant (well worth the wait). The chicken was juicy, flavorful, and generous portions. The spice level was just right - not overwhelming, but enough to leave you wanting more. The kimchi was a perfect accompaniment, with a nice balance of tanginess without being too spicy, the dumplings were a delight; packed with flavor and savory goodness, but what really stole the show where the pickled radishes; a game changer! The sweetness of the radishes and the acidity perfectly complimented the richness of the chicken and fries. Speaking of fries, both the regular and the sweet potato fries were Crispy and addictive.The lady at the counter was very helpful answering any questions we had and she even told us the best way to warmup the leftovers we had. The place was very nice and clean. The only drawback is that inside sitting capacity is minimal. i'm going to keep it very simple. The spicy Galbi wings are the best wings I've had in years! They were crispy, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. I've had the original fried chicken, which was also very good, but I thought I would try something different with my guy, and we both practically ate the bones lol. inside the restaurant definitely reminds me of a chicken spot in NYC but better service. whenever I get wings, this will always be my go to spot. We decided to check this place out on a day I really wanted chicken. The employees were super friendly and helpful for our first time visiting. They walked us through the menu, and even let us try a couple sauces before committing to an order. Everything is cooked fresh, so we did have to wait about 20 minutes for our order, and there is only one table for seating. We opted to go to Publix and do some groceries, but they do have a few stools and KPOP music videos playing on the tv while you wait. All of our food was very good and I would absolutely go back. The chicken here is legit. Bb.q Chicken is an actual chicken franchise from Korea so you know you are getting the real deal. There secret sauce is my go too with a perfect mix of spicy and sweet. The chicken is incredibly crunchy and the meat is super tender. I would make sure to get a side of their pickled radish. The vinegar compliments the chicken incredibly well. Also recommend going with whole chicken over the boneless. I feel like it provides better flavor over the boneless. read more
