I'm glad Greenville has one of these locations in the area. It's definitely worth checking out. This is fried chicken that's hard to go wrong with. Today I had the rotisserie chicken with sides of corn pudding and sweet potato crunch. This place feels so sterile with the hard wooden seats and cold steel tables. The chicken was good, the corn pudding was blah, first time I did not really like it, had it before and it was better. The sweet potato crunch was just meh as well. I'm gonna start with two things: on your heat level, go down a notch for one and secondly, these guys can make some top ranked collard greens and macaroni & cheese. It took my third visit to dial in the heat level for me, and I do like it hot. So, just keep that in mind. The collards are more savory, they are not seasoned with brown sugar as is the travesty in some places, which is akin to heresy in my opinion. I don't generally ever order or eat mac & cheese since it is high calorie and high carb and it takes up "room" in both areas that are better served by eating more of something else such as chicken or collards. However, there is always the exception for the exceptional. Which is probably where that word exceptional gets its origin. This mac & cheese is exceptional with depth of flavor, variety of textures such as creaminess, a bit of crunch, thick but not too thick, and not hiding the cheese or making the cheese come at you in chunks. For a non-mac & cheese guy, I had these initially at a catered event and that encouraged me to seek them out again at the restaurant and it also will be the next place I will order from if I need catering for a party. The chicken is juicy, hot (temperature) and crisp. The order experience is to order at the counter, get a table number, food will arrive when ready. Keep in mind, the chicken is made to order and will take that amount of time, so it is not 'fast food" but it is "fast enough food." You pick up your own drink and silverware, napkins at the table. Each plate has a piece of white loaf bread accompanying. No frills ambiance. There is convenient parking for handicapped adjacent to the building with easy access, but everyone else parks across the street in the side lot, as an FYI. read more

I decided to try it because of the reviews , so I had to come on here and set the record straight so others don't waste their money. The food is not made to order. We were really hoping this place would redeem themselves, and were sadly disappointed. Ordering take-out just doesn't seem to be the way "to go" (pun completely intended) with this particular business. Ordered using their online system (as we did before) which set our estimated pickup time about 45 mins out from time of ordering. We showed up 15 mins later than that so...total time thus far is 60 mins. Waited around for additional 20 mins. So...an hour and 20 mins for tenders, fries, and a couple of biscuits. Oh and they forgot the sauces (which they charge extra for when you order). Check your bag before you order and order in person...and good luck. Absolutely the best fried chicken tenders in town. I always go medium hot, which has a nice kick to them. Service is great, order at the counter and they bring your meal to the table. The ambiance can get a loud when they are full but you can still have a great conversation with your table, no problem. read more

First time here, no one greeted us when we came in . There was a line so we looked at the menu and decided on what we wanted the guy at the register was not friendly or greeted me in anyway. Im very impressed. I ordered my food online and went inside to pick up. Im not sure what to rate the customer service but I plan to return to dine in and eat. Very bright decor and it looked to be very roomy in the seating area. I ordered the vegan hot chicken, fried okra and mashed potatoes with gravy. The chicken was super hot! One of my fav's in greenville. So glad this location is here because I would always go to the asheville location. Food is good and they can get busy! My only complaint with this location is that there were several times where I have specifically ordered the grilled tenders due to dietary restrictions and was served regular fried tenders. One time I told them about the mistake, it was going to be another additional 15 mins so that was 30 mins total. The people I was with were already done with their food so it was pretty disappointing. I ended up having to get my food to go. I have also ordered to go several times that included a kids meal and they have ALWAYS forgotten the juice box. The side items are pretty good and so is the banana pudding. read more
