The Smashburger is good. The only downside is the Flamin sauce. It doesn't really taste like anything, maybe mild pepper. And that's the only topping. I just think the burger is well made but maybe add some pickles and other sauce options I do like their wings. It's fried and covered in sauce. And they give a good portion of ranch to go with them. Came here based on my friend's influence on TikTok hype. I'm a big fan of fried chicken all my life but I do not understand the hot chicken trend. I ordered the hot chicken sandwich, a order of 6 wings mild and a smashed burger. I also got a Mex coke just in case the hot was hot The seasoning does not have any flavor it's almost like straight heat. The mild wing had no flavor also. it was coated with red dust. 6 wings were like $12. each piece was half a wing not a full wing. the winner was the smash burger but it was tiny. The restaurant was not busy when I went there a long wait for the food to come out so it's good that the food was freshly cooked. Amazing hot chicken here. Ordered the flamin waffle sandwich and the flamin hot chicken sandwich (not pictured). The waffles even have bits of jalapeño inside, plus the signature flamin sauce is drizzled on for that extra kick! The waffles totally made the sandwich & seemingly melted with each bite of the tender chicken. Spice level can be customized but I think it all balances out with the slaw & pickles in the end. Really interesting decor that I can't quite put my finger on. It's Nashville-y but also covered in bright murals. Plenty of napkins at each table which is handy for messy eaters. But definitely enjoy and don't let the mess stop you! I loved that they have a such an eclectic menu. Now that I've tried something "regular", I want to come back for the tacos next! I ordered for pick up through Uber Eats-- the order was ready sooner than I had anticipated, always a plus. The staff were quick and I was in and out of the restaurant within 3 minutes picking up my order. The food was pretty standard for a hot fried chicken place. The loaded fries I got was a pretty large portion, definitely enough for two meals. It didn't have anything in it that particularly blew me away, but it still tasted good. My boyfriend said his hot chicken sandwich was good too, and also pretty standard taste wise and quality. I liked their food, but the best thing I have tried was the chocolate milkshake. I believe they use Haagen Dazs ice cream (fact check? sorry) and the drink was phenomenal. If I was looking for a quick comfort food cheat meal, I'd stop by here if in the area. We walked in and the young lady at the front was very helpful while we ordered. They bought the food to us and all yhe extra things we needed. The food was amazing. The chicken and waffle were cooked perfectly l. The sauce on top is perfect and not too spicy for our family. The loaded fries were delicious with the chicken cut up on top and perfect amount of sauce. An added bonus is how clean the floors abd tablea are. 4/12/24 Came here on a rainy friday afternoon parking is hard to find so be aware of that. The place was empty when we ordered. We ordered a medium hot chicken sandwich with fries, a single smash burger, and an oreo milkshake. The food took a while to come out. But when it did, the fries tasted old , luke warn and undercooked, and my burger had to be sent back to be corrected. The chicken sandwich was decent without the sauce. The chicken was juicy but not spicy at all. When i got my second burger, i took one bite then threw it away. It was not good, nor would i consider it a "smash" burger. The milk shake was basic. I tried the brand new Lawrence location today. The staff was friendly and the restaurant was clean with 11 tables inside. I ordered the medium hot chicken sandwich, French fries and an Oreo milkshake with chocolate base. Everything was very good. The chicken was cooked perfectly, crispy not greasy, the cole slaw, pickle and sauce were good. My only complaint is the sauce was not hot enough for me. I'm going hot next time. They might need someone to help them with Resturant efficiency but I won't hold it against them. I was still pleased with food and courteous service. Was in the area on business & decided to give this place a try, this place is more a 3.5 star so I opted for 4 over 3 star. I'm also now realizing all their "positive" reviews are fake & auto-generated (you can tell by the names & review count) which is a paid service. I placed an order on UberEats as they had a BOGO promo on there. Upon delivery, I had only received one sandwich. I called the restaurant hoping they were going to be nice & admit to an honest mistake but some guy kept arguing with me & telling me I had to add a secondary coupon for them to add the 2nd sandwich. I kept explaining that isn't how the check out process on the app works as it automatically adds it to your cart as 2 items. Just to make sure, I attempted to re-order while he was still on the phone with me. I once again confirmed he was incorrect but he continued to argue with me. Really enjoyed this place. Met the owner and he was kind, generous and genuinely cared about our feedback. Gave him some feedback on the Mac & Cheese he has us try. I also suggested that he have some kind of cheese fries on the menu. Was happy to hear that it's on the way. My son and I both had a double classic burger and fries with an Oreo milkshake. The milkshake was delicious and perfectly mixed. The burgers were a little sloppy but very good. The chipotle sauce in the burger was very good as well. Fries were cooked perfectly! The only negative feedback I would have is the cost of the beverages. With a place that has spicy food to charge $2.50 for a can of soda could be considered a bit much. Especially if customers are eating spicy food. Would have been great to have a soda dispenser with refills. I'd even pay $5.00 for that. We were sitting at a table when the owner/manager came up to us to say he would like to move some tables around to accommodate a family of 5 , mind you we were at a table that seats 2 and there were plenty of tables that seat 4 and they could have added a chair. Also note that this is not a place where your order is taken at a table , you order at the counter , pay for it and find your own table. I came here with my son and daughter for lunch. My daughter comes here a lot because she goes to school right down the street so she warned me that the hot was HOT! We love hot food in general and we ordered the loaded fries, 3 smash burgers, 3 milk shakes, the chicken tacos, and the chicken waffle sandwich!!! Let me tell you!!! The food was excellent!!! The staff was friendly and though there is a little wait we didn't mind because the food was fresh and hot. The manager was super nice and gave us a few chicken tenders so that we could judge the heat levels we wanted... like I said super nice staff. We've since been back 3 times and it has become a father's night out with the kids. Great place and great food. There is parking in the back which makes it a bit easier down town.
