After seeing Korean fried chicken in a kdrama, I instantly got a craving. I went onto the Bb.q chicken website, confirmed a location, and placed a takeout order. It was a convenient way to order since I was able to use Apple Pay. When it came parking, this is located in a plaza with other businesses. I did not have trouble parking at around 7 pm. The pick up process was pretty straightforward. The orders, utensils, and radish were all packed when I got there. For the flavors, I got the secret sauce and cheesling. Both were solid options that were enjoyed!

Really disappointed by the service and chicken at this location of bbq chicken. This places gets a 2.3/5 stars from me for multiple reasons. I've been to this location before but my recent purchase at this establishment left me disappointed and wanting to go to a different location. We ordered a large order of chicken and sides via mobile order since I was treating friends for helping me out. When we arrived at the pick up time, the store was packed and had a ton of customers waiting, around 4-5 other orders including us. It was also hot inside as I think the air conditioning was broken or there was way too many people packed into the small establishment. We arrived early and luckily had an early enough pick-up time that we waited around 10 mins for the lady at the counter to bring the food out, ~5 mins after the expected pick up time. A lot of customers were angry that day though as I noticed their pick up time said ready but their food wasn't out. There was also no one at the counter for a long amount of time as I think they were low on staff back of house. When we drove back to our location to eat (5 mins drive), we were disappointed that we were missing one of our sides of cheesing fries ($8). We were on a deadline so it would've been a waste of time to drive back and they were way too busy to call to complain so I lost out on both the food and money which I was a little upset about. The soy garlic chicken was solid and good. A nice balance of sweet and tangy. The hot and spicy wings were alright. The flavor wasn't bad but it didn't suit my tastes. These two were both a little soggy which was alright as we did take out and had a short drive but I was a little surprised as it hadn't ever happened to me before at the Temple City location and the drive was about the same. The golden chicken was personally the worst one. Although it looked crispy, the chicken skin was soggy. I wasn't a big fan of boneless chicken already but it made it taste especially bad. This was the second most disappointing part as we ordered two portions as my friend mentioned he really liked the original chicken. The rose ttebokki was one of the most surprising parts as it tasted savory and creamy. I liked the multi-layered taste of it. I do wish the establishment provided utensils as it was difficult to ask since they were so packed. Overall, the food was just alright and I personally would just stick to my own local spot near me. Not sure if it was just this day that the poor staff were overworked but it definitely affected my and many other's experience. Will not be coming back to this location any time soon. :(

I ordered a "Whole Chicken" from this location, but when I got home, the box contained nothing but dark meat (legs and thighs). When I called to resolve the issue, the staff admitted they were completely out of white meat in the kitchen. Despite knowing they didn't have the product, they still charged me for a whole chicken and refused to offer a refund or even a partial credit for the missing parts. If you run out of a product, you tell the customer before taking their money--you don't just give them a cheaper substitute and refuse a refund. Extremely dishonest business practice. Avoid this place if you expect to actually get what you pay for.

Chicken wings are good, crispy sauces are a bit funky but still good lol ( sometimes I just like an original buffalo hot ) but wait time is a little too long. My bf went in placed an order at 6:18pm we didn't get our order til 6:55pm-7pm. That's that I went next door to pieology to grab a pizza same time as he went here. I was out the door by 6:30pm... so by the time we got our wings pizza was already cold.. He had to ask twice if they were almost done, Then the girl who was working there said 5 more mins after the 2nd ask, when in reality it took another 15 mins! Not cool. So that was a bit irritating. If you don't wanna wait 45-55 mins for your order I suggest just going to Wingstop or BWW. Or maybe try ordering ahead of time from home.

7.5/10 Got the 8 piece wings soy garlic and fries. Wings were HUGE and delicious. Nice thin crispy batter with the sweet savory soy garlic sauce. Fries were decent but the portion size was huge. ONLY negatives is the price and the fact that you can't order 2 different sauces on one order wings. You have to order a completely separate order of wings to try a different sauce.

Cons: you have to be patient. Pros: Crispy Flavorful Juicy If you want the crispiest, juiciest, most flavorful chicken you've ever had- try this. The boneless is also crispy and is not dry AND is all chicken which is a big deal to me. If you're on the fence, don't be. Try it.

Wow! I kept seeing this restaurant pop up in my area, but the one closest to my office closed down. I finally got to experience their Korean fried chicken wings and I was impressed. I was doing a bit of shopping so I ordered for pickup ahead of time, looks/sounds like they make to order so I didn't have to wait very long when I arrived. I got the honey garlic wings and I was blown away with 1) the size of the wings (these are some big chickens) and 2) the flavor! It was like of burst of gooey garlic with chicken. It's got the small 8 piece wings. I think I ate 3 and I'm already full. There aren't any combos, so I did have to order my rice on the side, but it does come with pickled radishes so I'm happy. It is on the pricier side.. but the portions are so big it seems worth it to me.

Cheeseling fries were delicious! That's something we would crave for. We also got the regular chicken and hot spicy. The regular chicken has a kick to it so if you're like me with zero tolerance then be prepared. My daughter has a high spice tolerance and even she said the hot spicy was the spiciest she's had but she loved them. She also said that the ttaeboki was tasty although I didn't bother attempting that. One star for cold and dry rice

I tried coming out here again to see if they have any their swrvice.... well, I obly ordered qty 2 of their small 8pc chicken. The guy said it will take 15-20min. I said that's fine. Frustratingly enough, it took them 35 min to prepare for it. I would understand if they are busy... but I am the only one here and there is no online order. So my order is THE only order. Why it took them 35min is something I can't understand. I even gave 12% tip for a pickup order where no service is rendered and tip is not necessary. I did it to give incentive to the workers. But still same slow service. So for my second trip i have no choice but to give them 2 star.

Of the many fried chicken places in the Greater LA area, I heard some very good things about bb.q Chicken and their Korean take on fried chicken. And wanting to give them a try for myself, I decided to try them out on a Friday evening for take-out. Looking at their menu of options, bb.q Chicken had a variety of items ranging from wings to your typical pieces of chicken. And craving a little more, I decided on an order of the Garlic Crunch Half Chicken and an order steamed rice which was about $20.15 at the time of this review. Taking a look at the box of food, I was surprised that the bag included a small serving of pickled daikon. But even with this, it wasn't enough to help the portion size. For being advertised as a "half" chicken, I was expecting legs and thighs to be included with the meal. But to my dismay, there were only 2 legs, about 1 wing, and 5 very small pieces of white meat chicken. I could understand that the flavor could result in an upcharge for the meal. But because the quantity of chicken was very small, I left still feeling hungry. In other words, you could definitely get a larger quantity of chicken for $20. Even though this location is in the Walnut/Diamond Bar area and food tends to cost more, other stores will give more for less. Flavor-wise, the chicken was not terrible. But I would definitely choose another flavor for the next time. For one, the garlic flavor was only on the surface and did not interact with the chicken much at all. In actuality, the chicken had a sweetness to it that made it taste similar to that of a light orange chicken. Because of this, it subverted what was supposed to be a savory garlic flavor. Looking at the meat itself, most of the white meat was dry and did not retain much moisture. Fortunately, the dark meat of the chicken was better and had some moisture to it. But in saying that, it wasn't the juiciest of chicken. Wrapping up the flavor profile, the chicken wasn't terrible and had some good parts to it. But because the flavor was more sweet than garlicy, it was a let down. bb.q Chicken definitely could be a decent spot for the right people. But for me personally, I would order something else if I were to try them again. The price to portion is very steep for what you're being offered, the taste of the chicken was only decent and it did not stand out all too much. This spot is convenient in that it is located next to many other eateries. But in all, I argue bb.q Chicken deserves a borderline 3 star rating.

Okay, confession: I used to not be into Korean fried chicken, it always felt too heavy and saucy for me. But somehow it's growing on me??? The soy garlic flavor hit differentttt and I'm low-key obsessed now. We also tried the rose tteokbokki, and it was sooo good and soo cheesy! Had a good amount of fish cakes too! Heads up: there isn't much seating, it's definitely more of a takeout spot. But if you're craving crispy, flavorful K-fried chicken, this place is worth it.

Customer service is pretty terrible here. The person at the register doesn't speak English and has no idea how to speak to customers appropriately or how to handle questions or complaints. On two different occasions I've watched her stare blankly and then nod frantically instead of being able to clearly answer customer. From the back house you can hear inappropriate music (for a business) blaring and whoever is back there yelling loudly back and forth banter. The chicken itself, sometimes great sometimes questionable. I would say this place is suffering from employing unqualified and unprofessional people. I love the vibes and the fact that they either have korean music in the background with korean ads on the TV while eating or even have korean dramas while eating makes me feel like if I were to be in korean and the service is welcoming as well. The food is amazing, my mother and I always get the honey garlic its so crispy and sweet with a bit of garlic along with the picked radish omg go so well with the chicken. What the world.... Why is the original fried chicken smelling like goat meat? I had an intense craving for Korean fried chicken after watching some Korean food videos on Youtube so here I am. I ordered the half chicken with secret sauce over the phone and I think that was a mistake. By the time I got there and brought it back home, it definitely lost its crispness. The crunch factor wasn't there!! That said, the sauce itself was very sweet which I didn't mind but there was definitely no heat so I'm not sure why it had the fire mark. I've been wanting to try k-fried chicken for some time now and I finally had time today. I called ahead to place my order as I know it takes time to make. When I arrived, the small place was busy as expected. I paid for my order and was handed the bag and that was it. Only when I was almost home did I realize that I did not get the drinks that was included in the meal. The employee did not even mention it at any point during the transaction. This our spot for fried chicken. It is pricey, but, we can feed the entire family a half chicken for under $20 here. The chicken has been perfectly fried each time I visit. Their golden fried chicken, which I always get has a nice subtle kick to it. Kimchi fried rice is good with chunks of chicken in it. The employees all seem to be high school students. But, they are well behaved and trained. They always greet me when I come in. Phoning in the order is cheaper than ordering online that seems to go through Grubhub. If you call them once, they store your phone number into their computer system and know who you are. It's good chicken. I haven't had a bad meal here yet. read more

Really solid Korean chicken place. This is more of a takeout place as there is limited seating inside. That being said, they also have a few tables outside if the weather is okay. The rosé ddeok bokki alone is worth a visit. So good. Tried the golden original chicken, the Gangnam wings, and the garlic honey wings. The skin on the golden original chicken is nicely crispy, and the flavor is good but not amazing. The honey garlic wings were more crunchy and flavorful, but still did not blow my mind. My least favorite of the three was the Gangnam - they had gone soggy by the time I got home, and the flavor wasn't bad - just probably not something I'd go for again. I want to try their soy garlic as that is one of my favorite flavors at other Korean chicken places. Service was very helpful and friendly. read more

Can buy for some lunch, and ordered two 8 piece boxes of chicken. Got the Galbi and another non spicy order. However, when I got home to eat my food one was spicy and I can't really do spicy. Also when we ordered the cashier was a little rude, and kept pushing us to make a selection even though we said we needed a minute. She kept saying, "what do you think you want?" This didn't really change our minds about ordering, but soured the mood a bit. After ordering we waited about 20 to 30 minutes for our food. Which was a bit longer than we previously thought, but when we got the food we were able to go home and eat it. I have to say it was pretty tasty, but the other order that was spicy, which wasn't supposed to be spicy, threw us off. Hopefully next time we return we will have a better experience and have the correct order. Although it was incorrect and we didn't find out till we got home, it was a bit late to go back and change it. read more

Messed up my order. Food still tastes good. Seems like a franchise. It's a tiny place that's good for takeout. But not being able to sell beer at a Korean fried chicken place seems almost like a crime. Only 2-3 tables for dine in (and maybe some outside). It's annoying when there's a food mistake and I had to drive 20 minutes to get it. I'm not gonna drive back for them to fix it. Chicken and soda...doesn't meet quota. Came here on Christmas Eve to order food for our potluck. The place was clean and nicely decorated with holiday decorations. We called in advance to place our order, since the wait time is around 30 minutes. We heard about the place because my sister brought it over for one of our parties and the wings were delicious! Price wise, it is on the pricier side for wings. But they are different than the typical places like Wing Stop, KFC, and Church's. Our favorite one is the honey garlic wings; they balance out well with the side of radish. Portion size is also good for a boneless wing. Goes great with rice at home too. It costs $27.99 for a medium (16 pieces), and $14.99 for a small (8 pieces). The employees were nice and friendly too. When the cashier had a lot of orders to take care of, he asked for his coworker to take the phone order so that customers don't have to wait too long. Definitely will recommend others to come try it out, especially since our kids like it too. read more

I have only been to the Art's District location and am glad they opened a location a lot closer to me. This place is a little pricier compared to other wing spots but the food is great and the service is relatively quick. This location is built more for "to-go" customers and isn't big enough to accommodate large parties. read more

My favorite place to get the korean fried chicken! Everything is always so crunchy by the time we bring it home. My husband and I decided to grab this for dinner last night. We ordered the 8 piece of soy garlic, 8 piece of gangnam and fries. I really want to try the mala spicy but I wasn't sure if I was going to like it, decided to go with what I was already craving. This is a very small place but clean. I think people come here to order mostly for takeout. However, there are 2 tables available inside and numerous tables outside. Menu has lunch, dinner and combos. Food is good. Chicken is moist and crispy. Daikon radish a must-have. Serving is mostly good for one person but if you have a small appetite, it can be shareable. Service is very satisfactory although I firmly believe it can be improved more--say, hearing polite words and honorifics surely would be a delight especially for an older person like me who walks with a cane; and, maybe, to not be too thrifty in handling out sauces and condiments and napkins. We were fortunate that all the parties ahead of us were 4 or more. Not a fan of this parking lot, it's very tight and limited. The place itself is small, bright and clean, but I don't know what it is about all the Boiling Points I've been to, but service is their weakpoint. While they're all friendly and helpful when they get to you, it's getting their attention in the first place that seems to be an issue. All the locations also just seem slow in cleaning tables or getting a good turnaround for guests. It's the same issues we've noticed at other BP locations like the Gardena one that it seems intentional. Food wise, it's a good amount of food and like anywhere else, prices continue to go up. With each dish, you get a choice of spiciness levels and rice or noodles to go with your dish. There's also an assortment of dipping sauces for you to use, I like to combine all three to make a nice dip. Take your time to eat, they can add more broth to your pot if you're running low or even replenish your flame if it dies out during your meal. Or if it's too hot, you can always ask them to turn off the flame for you. It depends what you like or are craving, my personal favorites are the beef, lamb, milk cream curry, and Japanese miso. It's an okay location, not my favorite, but we were craving hot pot that night.

I used to go to Chino Hills one for a while until I started noticing Walnut restaurant during my commute. I was impressed with superior quality of Secret Sauce Chicken with dripping sauces yet crunchy in texture. Exclusivelywent to this one for a while until it dropped a ball like this hard. Hardly any sauces glazed over the chicken(I can see the golden color instead of sauced up red) and missing radishes. And no one would pick up the phone when needed. I strongly hope you get your services back together. ---- Update: Chicken tastes like it was not made to be Secret Sauce Chicken but hastily and shoddily tossed with a tiny bit if sauces. I ate here enough times these past couple months to know how they are supposed to taste. Very disappointed. read more

Omgoodness! I want to try all the flavors esp mala! So far maple crunch, galbi and secret slightly spicy are so good. Halfway into the boneless chicken maple crunch lunch box, I realized that the underlying flavor was buttered popcorn! We couldn't quite place it at first; it is sweet & can be too sweet for some palates. Upgraded to the sweet potato fries sometimes; either fries with lunch special are good. I'm sure a meal that tastes this good isn't the healthiest, but it is definitely my new go-to weekly treat. Team members were sweet. There is room for only two tables inside. read more

Tried this BBQ chicken spot for lunch today and it did not disappoint! I ordered the Golden Chicken with a side of sweet potato fries, and everything was fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The chicken was juicy with that crispy golden finish, and the fries were crispy on the outside, soft on the inside -- just the right balance of sweet and savory. Unfortunately, this location disappointed. OG wings were not the normal crunchy chicken you expect from BB.Q. The ddukpoki was good, no complaints. This spot doesn't have chopsticks, or maybe they ran out? Phone order was easy and plenty of parking available. Btw, this spot is strictly take out, fyi. read more

Ordered online with a 30 minute wait time, but ended up waiting an hour even though I was already in store! This happened twice now. The customer service is inaccurate, and the order process is way too slow. It's frustrating to wait even after ordering ahead. Time to step up and improve your employees! read more

I went in for the first time and the manager was talking with another customer about the menu or something and I guess he didn't agree with something corporate did because he called them the r slur multiple times, which was a bit jarring considering he said it so blatantly and there was kids around. read more

Great Korean Chicken joint in Walnut. I have tried chino hills and other bbq chicken locations but Walnut always maintains the same flavors and quality crispness at superb level. My favorite is the Honey Garlic, soy garlic and gangbam style chicken wing. read more
