After seeing Korean fried chicken in a kdrama, I instantly got a craving. I went onto the Bb.q chicken website, confirmed a location, and placed a takeout order. It was a convenient way to order since I was able to use Apple Pay. When it came parking, this is located in a plaza with other businesses. I did not have trouble parking at around 7 pm. The pick up process was pretty straightforward. The orders, utensils, and radish were all packed when I got there. For the flavors, I got the secret sauce and cheesling. Both were solid options that were enjoyed!

Really disappointed by the service and chicken at this location of bbq chicken. This places gets a 2.3/5 stars from me for multiple reasons. I've been to this location before but my recent purchase at this establishment left me disappointed and wanting to go to a different location. We ordered a large order of chicken and sides via mobile order since I was treating friends for helping me out. When we arrived at the pick up time, the store was packed and had a ton of customers waiting, around 4-5 other orders including us. It was also hot inside as I think the air conditioning was broken or there was way too many people packed into the small establishment. We arrived early and luckily had an early enough pick-up time that we waited around 10 mins for the lady at the counter to bring the food out, ~5 mins after the expected pick up time. A lot of customers were angry that day though as I noticed their pick up time said ready but their food wasn't out. There was also no one at the counter for a long amount of time as I think they were low on staff back of house. When we drove back to our location to eat (5 mins drive), we were disappointed that we were missing one of our sides of cheesing fries ($8). We were on a deadline so it would've been a waste of time to drive back and they were way too busy to call to complain so I lost out on both the food and money which I was a little upset about. The soy garlic chicken was solid and good. A nice balance of sweet and tangy. The hot and spicy wings were alright. The flavor wasn't bad but it didn't suit my tastes. These two were both a little soggy which was alright as we did take out and had a short drive but I was a little surprised as it hadn't ever happened to me before at the Temple City location and the drive was about the same. The golden chicken was personally the worst one. Although it looked crispy, the chicken skin was soggy. I wasn't a big fan of boneless chicken already but it made it taste especially bad. This was the second most disappointing part as we ordered two portions as my friend mentioned he really liked the original chicken. The rose ttebokki was one of the most surprising parts as it tasted savory and creamy. I liked the multi-layered taste of it. I do wish the establishment provided utensils as it was difficult to ask since they were so packed. Overall, the food was just alright and I personally would just stick to my own local spot near me. Not sure if it was just this day that the poor staff were overworked but it definitely affected my and many other's experience. Will not be coming back to this location any time soon. :(

I ordered a "Whole Chicken" from this location, but when I got home, the box contained nothing but dark meat (legs and thighs). When I called to resolve the issue, the staff admitted they were completely out of white meat in the kitchen. Despite knowing they didn't have the product, they still charged me for a whole chicken and refused to offer a refund or even a partial credit for the missing parts. If you run out of a product, you tell the customer before taking their money--you don't just give them a cheaper substitute and refuse a refund. Extremely dishonest business practice. Avoid this place if you expect to actually get what you pay for.

Chicken wings are good, crispy sauces are a bit funky but still good lol ( sometimes I just like an original buffalo hot ) but wait time is a little too long. My bf went in placed an order at 6:18pm we didn't get our order til 6:55pm-7pm. That's that I went next door to pieology to grab a pizza same time as he went here. I was out the door by 6:30pm... so by the time we got our wings pizza was already cold.. He had to ask twice if they were almost done, Then the girl who was working there said 5 more mins after the 2nd ask, when in reality it took another 15 mins! Not cool. So that was a bit irritating. If you don't wanna wait 45-55 mins for your order I suggest just going to Wingstop or BWW. Or maybe try ordering ahead of time from home.

7.5/10 Got the 8 piece wings soy garlic and fries. Wings were HUGE and delicious. Nice thin crispy batter with the sweet savory soy garlic sauce. Fries were decent but the portion size was huge. ONLY negatives is the price and the fact that you can't order 2 different sauces on one order wings. You have to order a completely separate order of wings to try a different sauce.

Cons: you have to be patient. Pros: Crispy Flavorful Juicy If you want the crispiest, juiciest, most flavorful chicken you've ever had- try this. The boneless is also crispy and is not dry AND is all chicken which is a big deal to me. If you're on the fence, don't be. Try it.

Wow! I kept seeing this restaurant pop up in my area, but the one closest to my office closed down. I finally got to experience their Korean fried chicken wings and I was impressed. I was doing a bit of shopping so I ordered for pickup ahead of time, looks/sounds like they make to order so I didn't have to wait very long when I arrived. I got the honey garlic wings and I was blown away with 1) the size of the wings (these are some big chickens) and 2) the flavor! It was like of burst of gooey garlic with chicken. It's got the small 8 piece wings. I think I ate 3 and I'm already full. There aren't any combos, so I did have to order my rice on the side, but it does come with pickled radishes so I'm happy. It is on the pricier side.. but the portions are so big it seems worth it to me.

Cheeseling fries were delicious! That's something we would crave for. We also got the regular chicken and hot spicy. The regular chicken has a kick to it so if you're like me with zero tolerance then be prepared. My daughter has a high spice tolerance and even she said the hot spicy was the spiciest she's had but she loved them. She also said that the ttaeboki was tasty although I didn't bother attempting that. One star for cold and dry rice

I tried coming out here again to see if they have any their swrvice.... well, I obly ordered qty 2 of their small 8pc chicken. The guy said it will take 15-20min. I said that's fine. Frustratingly enough, it took them 35 min to prepare for it. I would understand if they are busy... but I am the only one here and there is no online order. So my order is THE only order. Why it took them 35min is something I can't understand. I even gave 12% tip for a pickup order where no service is rendered and tip is not necessary. I did it to give incentive to the workers. But still same slow service. So for my second trip i have no choice but to give them 2 star.

Of the many fried chicken places in the Greater LA area, I heard some very good things about bb.q Chicken and their Korean take on fried chicken. And wanting to give them a try for myself, I decided to try them out on a Friday evening for take-out. Looking at their menu of options, bb.q Chicken had a variety of items ranging from wings to your typical pieces of chicken. And craving a little more, I decided on an order of the Garlic Crunch Half Chicken and an order steamed rice which was about $20.15 at the time of this review. Taking a look at the box of food, I was surprised that the bag included a small serving of pickled daikon. But even with this, it wasn't enough to help the portion size. For being advertised as a "half" chicken, I was expecting legs and thighs to be included with the meal. But to my dismay, there were only 2 legs, about 1 wing, and 5 very small pieces of white meat chicken. I could understand that the flavor could result in an upcharge for the meal. But because the quantity of chicken was very small, I left still feeling hungry. In other words, you could definitely get a larger quantity of chicken for $20. Even though this location is in the Walnut/Diamond Bar area and food tends to cost more, other stores will give more for less. Flavor-wise, the chicken was not terrible. But I would definitely choose another flavor for the next time. For one, the garlic flavor was only on the surface and did not interact with the chicken much at all. In actuality, the chicken had a sweetness to it that made it taste similar to that of a light orange chicken. Because of this, it subverted what was supposed to be a savory garlic flavor. Looking at the meat itself, most of the white meat was dry and did not retain much moisture. Fortunately, the dark meat of the chicken was better and had some moisture to it. But in saying that, it wasn't the juiciest of chicken. Wrapping up the flavor profile, the chicken wasn't terrible and had some good parts to it. But because the flavor was more sweet than garlicy, it was a let down. bb.q Chicken definitely could be a decent spot for the right people. But for me personally, I would order something else if I were to try them again. The price to portion is very steep for what you're being offered, the taste of the chicken was only decent and it did not stand out all too much. This spot is convenient in that it is located next to many other eateries. But in all, I argue bb.q Chicken deserves a borderline 3 star rating.

Okay, confession: I used to not be into Korean fried chicken, it always felt too heavy and saucy for me. But somehow it's growing on me??? The soy garlic flavor hit differentttt and I'm low-key obsessed now. We also tried the rose tteokbokki, and it was sooo good and soo cheesy! Had a good amount of fish cakes too! Heads up: there isn't much seating, it's definitely more of a takeout spot. But if you're craving crispy, flavorful K-fried chicken, this place is worth it.

Waited almost an HOUR for our order, it didn't even seem busy inside when we arrived but I think they said they were backed up on orders. The food itself = scrumptious. I got the Original Boneless for the crispiness, and my bf got the Galbi Boneless. The Galbi sauce was saucing (strong in flavor), but wasn't really for me. I liked that the Honey Garlic was more subtle. Wish there were more side sauces offered, but the Original & Black Pepper at least were good enough by themselves. Finally got to try this place. Tried the 8 pc honey garlic and 8 pc golden original boneless wings and they were really good. The chicken is pretty expensive, but they were a decent size and they were really tasty. Nice flavor and texture and they go really well with the little radishes they give you. Food takes a while to prepare, so I'd say call in your order or be prepared to wait 20-30 minutes. Again, one of the better tasting chicken places I have been to, but just wish it wasn't so expensive. Lots of different flavors on the menu, so Ill be sure to go back and try some other ones. read more

service is the best, the chicken is always cooked to order! my boyfriend loves the rose tteokbokki and i like the honey garlic chicken. the chicken is always super crispy, juicy and so flavorful. the tteokbokki has a nice spice, but still an enjoyable spice. the fishcakes absorbed the sauce well and the additions to the tteokbokki was a really nice texture. the store itself is a little small with limited seating, but it's a good place to sit while you wait for your order when there's no one at the tables. read more

Giving this place a 3 stars because the food was great but the service time is too long. I order the rose tteokbokki my daughter order the galbi chicken. Both were delicious. I would have given them 5 star for the food. But we waited for our simple two items for 30 minutes when there were only very few customers ahead of us! I think that's too long for this kind of place. Edit: I must add that, most of the time while we are eating the cashier counter has no employees. I don't think it's good for any business to have no staff at the counter. No matter how under staffed it is, there should be at least one staff at the counter to greet people, take order, assure customers (us) that food is coming up. read more

Takeout Korean fried chicken spot with family packages. Came here on a Saturday evening and ordered takeout at the counter. They do have an online ordering option if you want to save some time. It took about 25 minutes for the food to be prepared, but we just went to TJ Maxx for some shopping while we waited. We got the spicy as well as original option - the chicken stayed crispy even after the car ride home and I liked the flavor. The fries were $5.99 and nothing special. They gave us a free thing of radish on the side. Credit cards accepted. Parking is available in the lot. There's no indoor seating but there are a couple of outdoor seating tables. The employees were nice. Overall, the chicken was on the pricier end but I think the quality is worth it. read more

I'm so glad that they opened one here in Walnut! If you watched the Korean drama of "Crash Landing On You", there was a scene that the actress Son Ye-Jin was eating fried chicken, and it was bb.q chicken!!! I was craving for it when I watched that drama. bb.q chicken was founded in Korea and it became popular in Asia since then. I got the honey garlic chicken 6 pcs lunch combo with fries and a drink, and a cole slaw side order. It took about 20 minutues for our to go order. The honey garlic chicken was so cripsy outside and the chicken meat was juicy and tender. The fries and cole slaw were not bad but my main focus was the fried chicken. I will try other flavor of their fried chicken next time. read more

I have been waiting for this place to open so I could give it a try and it didn't disappoint! I was unable to order online so I called in to order a boneless combo lunch special. The girl who answered was super friendly and said my food would be ready in 15-20 minutes but when I arrived to pay 10 minutes later, she came out of the kitchen with my order. Yay! The dining area is on the smaller side, enough table seating for 4 people, and couch/lounge seating on the other side of the shop for another 4-6 (depending on how close together you want to sit)! The boneless combo is $11.99 and comes with 6 pieces of chicken, french fries (upgrade to sweet potato fries for $1), and a can of soda or water. I decided to try the Secret Spicy flavor. It was soo good! Juicy chicken enveloped in a crunchy crust and covered in a sweet, spicy, and garlicky sauce - the flavors I love. Yum yum! The fries were fresh and crispy as well. TBH, the wings are on the pricier side ($14.99 for 8 wings), so I definitely appreciate the lunch special even though it wasn't the regular wings. It was delicious all the same. Food: GREAT Korean Fried Chicken (KFC)!!! BB Wings is there most popular and it is really good. It's more of a plain crispy breaded chicken with a peppery kick that hits you a little while after you start eating it. Soy Garlic is a great classic flavor. This version has it carmelized, which gives it an extra crunch. Gangnam Style does not dissapoint. It has a soy-based flavor with a spicy kick to it. Kimchi Fried Rice was more spicy than usual, but I loved it. It is way more flavorful, but has some kick to it. Service: freshly made, so order ahead to avoid waiting Design: interiors is small & cozy; only room for 2 tables & a couch seating area; but plenty of outdoor seating nearby Overall: there are so many great KFC places nearby, but I must say that bb.q Chicken is ranked as my top 2 favorite!!! A great thing about BBQ chicken is, you get great quality chicken (crispy crunchy exterior and the chicken is juicy without being greasy). Although I have been here a few times, the average wait time ranges from 20-30minutes, which is not ideal for a fast pace style restaurant, but you get what you get. So glad to have a local Korean fried chicken place nearby. This clean establishment is tiny with limited seating inside, but there is seating available outdoors. The staff is very friendly. I highly recommend calling in your order or ordering online at least 20 minutes in advance; it takes awhile to get the food prepared. I ordered the half and half whole chicken with the secret spicy. The original is super crispy but a little salty for me. The secret spicy has a hint of sweetness and spiciness-- I like this a lot! I will definitely revisit this place but I'll try the other items on the menu. read more

Service it's whatever! They take too long with the order you can hear the workers goofing around in the back the whole time. They told me food was gonna be ready in 15 and it took them 30 minutes to be exact. It bothers me the most because I was on my break from work and I only ordered a small bowl. Food: Honey Garlic Wings: (10/10) Had the most perfect sweet glaze and was super CRONCHY. The outside crust was THICCC and so enjoyable I savored every last bite. This was by far my favorite out of the three flavors we ordered. Original Spicy: (6.5/10) The cashier recommended we tried this flavor. It is one of their dry flavors. The spiciness was tolerable but was a bit more spicy than mild. Was decent but would probably not order this flavor again. Galbi: (6/10) Was covered with a sweet like soy sauce and was super CRONCHY like the honey garlic wings. Was also decent but would not order this again. Radishes were YUM! Thankfully they gave us forks to eat them with :D Service: (4/10) The cashier was very nice and helpful with giving suggestions. However, the wings took FOREVER. The cashier said it would take about 15 minutes but after 30 minutes we went back inside to check on our order. The cashier gave us our first order and said he didn't know what happened to our other two orders, even though we ordered them at the same time. He refunded us for the two and said they'd be out soon. Was thankful they refunded us at least. Our second order came 15 minutes after that and the third took 25 minutes. Was really upset that there was a problem with my order, especially since it was not busy at the time and had no excuse for it. Also, they only gave us two radishes for three orders .-. 4/10 because they at least refunded us and the cashier was hella nice. Was also surprised there was no check in offer. We tried to order 16 boneless wings in two flavors, original and soy garlic and we were told they are unable to do that for those flavors. Even if we had to order two orders of 8 with different and told that wasn't possible. What kind of fried chicken wing place where you can't do that? I used to go to Chino Hills one for a while until I started noticing Walnut restaurant during my commute. I was impressed with superior quality of Secret Sauce Chicken with dripping sauces yet crunchy in texture. Exclusivelywent to this one for a while until it dropped a ball like this hard. Hardly any sauces glazed over the chicken(I can see the golden color instead of sauced up red) and missing radishes. And no one would pick up the phone when needed. Halfway into the boneless chicken maple crunch lunch box, I realized that the underlying flavor was buttered popcorn! We couldn't quite place it at first; it is sweet & can be too sweet for some palates. Upgraded to the sweet potato fries sometimes; either fries with lunch special are good. Ordered online with a 30 minute wait time, but ended up waiting an hour even though I was already in store! This happened twice now. I went in for the first time and the manager was talking with another customer about the menu or something and I guess he didn't agree with something corporate did because he called them the r slur multiple times, which was a bit jarring considering he said it so blatantly and there was kids around. read more

Great Korean Chicken joint in Walnut. I have tried chino hills and other bbq chicken locations but Walnut always maintains the same flavors and quality crispness at superb level. My favorite is the Honey Garlic, soy garlic and gangbam style chicken wing. read more

Korean style fried chicken, very delicious, their oil tastes fresh and the fried chicken is marinated in advance. So it has a unique flavor when fried. The fries are also delicious, not as crispy as they are sweet potatoes, but extra sweet. read more
