    I've been to a lot of gyms across America, but this one has this feeling that is just right. A warehouse workout experience that is nice and open with vaulted ceilings and HUGE FANS that you can really feel. Seriously, the fans are huge. Travis, the owner, is super friendly and makes you feel warm and welcome immediately upon stepping in the gym. My Personal Trainer, Justin is great and is helping me achieve my fitness goals with the various tools and equipment this gym has to offer. Great space to step into.

During my consultation we went over my goals and over the first couple of sessions after assessing my fitness levels he came up with tailored training and nutrition plans to help me meet said goals. He's very knowledgeable and adept at personal training. On several occasions he's taught me the correct technique to do a particular movement so I can target the muscle group more effectively and avoid any potential injury. He makes sure that I challenge myself during every session and pushes me to my body's limit. Most importantly Paul makes the sessions a lot of fun. He holds me accountable, motivates me to push myself, and is very open to hearing any feedback. I enjoy our conversations between sets and that makes each session go by fast! Overall, I've noticed an increase in my strength and energy levels since I've started training with Paul and I'm very happy with the progress. Right away, I noticed the tight-knit camaraderie. There's a strong sense of community that honestly feels even more connected than other group fitness gyms like F45. As a first-timer, I felt welcomed from the start. The energy is on another level. The headset mic system helps amplify coaching across the large floor space, making the session feel clear and high-energy. Coach Brenden's shout-outs during the workout were electric--you could tell everyone was feeding off it. After class, Kim at the front desk was incredibly helpful--she walked me through a tour and went over my InBody results in detail. That kind of individual attention isn't something you always get, and it really stood out. My wife joined me for the class too (she had to rush out early since she works in Menlo by 6:30 AM), but we were both impressed by the vibe and professionalism. On a personal note--I've admired Brian Nunez from afar since meeting him a couple of times back in the 2006-2008 Club One / Active Sports Club days. I was amazingly impressed with how she did the assessment and pointed out all of my problems through my movements, and told me how to train to improve them and my back conditions (I have a long history of severe back pain). We focused on all the basic techniques first, the first few sessions were all about how to engage the core and breathe right to make sure I work out safely. These are essential for all sport training, but also significantly important for people with bad back like me. Gwen's workouts are challenging but super fun to do. She always listen to how my body feels to make necessary adjustment. I have passed the period of mobility focus and now working more on the agility workouts. My back has been great, and after the first few months of moving slow, I started seeing steady results. I took a Dexa scan at the beginning to know where I was at, and now taking it every 2 months to keep track of the results. While my lean mass has increased a bit slowly, I have drop quite a good amount of fat mass, and my bone mineral is higher. If you are looking for a trainer, I highly recommend Gwen, she is a perfect match for any training needs but even more so for people with injury and training limits.

BUT I will continue to come every week for Shubha's C2 class. She is amazing and her sequences always keep me on my toes. She's very thoughtful during class - whether that be memorizing all of her students' names or being proactive in correcting form. Would highly recommend everyone interested in yoga to take her class.
