Tried the Texas Twinkie breakfast burrito during brunch (asked for it without the BBQ sauce)…read more I ordered online and it did take about an hour, which wasn't provided as an estimate until after submitting my order. They said it was due to the grill being backed up, but to their credit, it was ready right when I arrived and tasted fresh. The burrito itself was really solid. The grilled cheese crust on the outside was a nice touch, but what stood out even more was the underside--it had this flaky, crispy texture that made every bite satisfying. Flavor-wise, the bacon definitely carried the dish with a great smoky taste, and you'd occasionally get a nice kick from the jalapeño. The eggs were there, but I didn't notice many had brown potatoes. The few that were in there had that slightly chewy/hard/gummy texture you get from like next-day reheated hash browns, so I'm not sure what was going on there. Fresh, crispy potatoes or even their fresh fries would have taken this to the next level. Overall though, really good burrito with great texture and strong smoky flavor--just a couple tweaks away from being excellent! Also got 5 wings to try, with Carolina Gold sauce. They were great!

Eeee my mouth is watering as I type this review, it is truly that good. Okay, a little preface - I…read moreusually stick for birds when I am ordering bbq (chicken and turkey are my zero guilt go-tos). THAT SAID - I dream about their smoked wings, my god, they are perfection. Crispy, tender, juicy, flavorful, it's just a wing and yet it's a perfect wing. And the fried chicken sandwich?! 1000000000000%. Enthusiastically head nod eyebrows raised yes. Their website is great and online ordering is a breeze. I think we have ordered online for every visit, actually? Usually we grab takeout for home or takeout to bestow upon a friend's backyard when the weather is nice. This is my all-time favorite bbq, wings Wednesday forever, Slow's who?

I stopped in yesterday to grab pizza before the Lions game. I usually stick to my go-to spot, but I…read morewanted to try this place because it's family-owned and everything looked great. I ordered a large Hawaiian pizza, a large cheeseburger pizza, and a small round build-your-own pizza. I was genuinely impressed by how good the pizza was. The square pizza was excellent in every way, and the crust was especially well done. My grandfather enjoyed it as well he particularly loved the cheeseburger pizza. The Thousand Island sauce really sets it apart and offers a nice change of pace from traditional pizza. I was disappointed to find out I missed the Full Rack collaboration with the Alabama white sauce and brisket, but maybe it will come back one day. I'll definitely be returning this place is the real deal.

I typically like to customize my own pizza, but Johnny Z's specialty pizzas are where it's at. A…read morecouple of my go-tos are the dill pickle and the bacon cheeseburger. The BBQ brisket pizza is easily my favorite, but it's unfortunately not a regular menu item. In 2022, Johnny Z's collaborated with Bad Brad's BBQ for the brisket pizza. In 2024 and 2025, Johnny Z's brought it back, collaborating with Full Rack Barbecue instead. I've also tried the cheese bread and the boneless wings. I've had the cheese bread twice now, and it's about what you'd expect it to be. I will say, the first time I had it was better than the second. I recommend getting the garlic butter dip. As for the wings, they were just okay, but I'd be willing to give them another try. All things considered, Johnny Z's is a solid, local pizza place, and is better than your typical pizza chain.
