They are only open for carry out and are not open for dining at all. The fresh chicken spring roll with good, ordered that, how salad as well as the pad Thai with chicken. It's all moving to Thai and one day will change their name to Khao Gaeng. We ordered two fresh rolls with chicken and two crispy rolls, a Gaeng Daeng with chicken and a pad Thai with dried chilies. $79.50 for our total. The pad Thai wasn't spicy at all, even with the added dry chilies. It was okay. The gaeng daeng is so-so, green veggies aren't for me. There's mostly some green cabbage, green onions and way too many baby corn, which I don't like at all. The red curry was decently spicy, but not as I would prefer the flavor of it, it's not so sweet. The fresh rolls were bland and boring, the sweet chili with the peanut was thick and didn't suit it well. Peanut sauce would have been better. There wasn't any chicken in any of the fresh rolls at all, although that's how they were ordered. The crispy rolls were nearly empty of cabbage or any veggies at all. It was rather overpriced for what you get here. I felt a bit duped after our carry out and food experience here. read more

Wow! They prepare the freshest food I have ever eaten, seriously. The owner grows a lot of his own vegetables. Everything tastes very fresh. We ordered Gaeng Keow Wan (green curry) with chicken, Khao Phad Sapparod (pineapple rice) with chicken, and Phad See Eew (wide rice noodle) with chicken. They even make their own rice noodles. The sauces taste amazing. You can really taste the difference between other Thai restaurant sauces and these which have so much flavor! It is carryout only but they have a welcoming atmosphere in the waiting area. I am glad I ordered from them. The pineapple rice dish with chicken was my favorite. Noble Pig is now exclusively Thai food. I tried it tonight for the first time and it was amazing! I called my order in at 7:15 and was surprised that it would only take ten minutes. Met Chef Brandon when I picked up my order...very nice guy. I can't wait to order again...there were several things in the menu that sound great to me. If you're looking for high quality Thai food, you can't beat this place! Note: No table service. The now all-Thai food is good, not great. Very nice people but everything here is a bit confusing to me. They don't have a website or online menu, so it is always jarring to place an order for spring rolls (a bit mushy inside) and find that they come with FOUR & cost $7!! Kinda pricey for an appetizer at a takeout place!! The main dishes are equally expensive & an order of chicken pad Thai sets you back $19 - a fair bit more than area Asian takeout spots. If the food was outstanding, it might be worth it but it is sadly not outstanding. I will say that portions are HUGE with plenty left over, so I guess some might rationalize the high prices that way. Firstly this is no longer a Asian Fusion BBQ restaurant. They have revised there menu to be only Thai Restaurant. They are in process of changing there restaurant name. As for the food was very intrigued as they had a menu with traditional dishes that sounded very appealing. Unfortunately, I was disappointed for multiple reasons. 1) I picked up my order promptly when told it was ready (30min). Upon opening my carryout at home all the dishes were Luke warm and needed to be warmed. 2) we tried multiple dishes and none really deserved to be highlighted as they all We're decent. Best Thai in the Pointes, hands down. This place used to be a BBQ/Thai place but now it's just fully Thai, specifically Bangkok Street Food. And it is delicious! We tried the following: - Tom Kha Gai soup- actually the best Tom Kha soup I've ever had! It's fresh and bright and also delicate - Fresh Rolls - standard but fresh filling, delightfully chewy rice paper, and freaking genius dipping sauce with fresh jalapeños - Pad Thai Som Roa - I've been searching for an actual good Pad Thai (sorry TN Thai, ya basic); this is chewy, soft, tart and smoky, and crispy with bean sprouts, peanuts, cilantro and lime - Gang Keow Wan with chicken - Green Curry made with coconut milk. Amazing! - Gaeng Daeng with chicken - red curry made with coconut milk; both curries were homemade and you can tell! Everything was so delicious that I had to write this as soon as I was done eating! We can't get enough of this place! Our favorite part is the sauces are literally dynamite. Fabulous flavor profiles in every dish; if you think you've had Pad Thai or potstickers- you must try them at Nobel Pig. They will blow your mind! This is the best Thai food on the East side, and prices are reasonable too. Fresh, unique, and complex flavors. Best Tom Kha soup & red curry (Gaeng Daeng) I've ever eaten. Chef Brandon is very gracious and so are his wife and daughter, it feels like an old timey family business, which is awesome. Bonus points to their support of front-line workers - I first started picking up carryouts from them when I was an inpatient RN at St. John and they were always very kind and patient, with my food ready and kind words when I showed up after 12h. I would give them zero stars if I could. This "Thai" food was the worst I've ever eaten anywhere. In fact, we didn't eat more than a couple of bites and the rest went in the trash. Not even the plain rice was not salvageable⁉ We ordered two dinners and potstickers, all of it was a mess. Both dinners were chock full of some green leafy (cheap filler?) vegetable we could not identify which was very bitter. It was not a cabbage, bok choy, nappa, spinach, arugula or kale. Neither of us had eaten it before and don't plan to eveat it again! I don't like to write a negative review, especially for a small, independent business, but come on, really⁉ I should have asked for a refund. read more

Wow! Had a great experience coming here for a quick dinner. I love the unique menu combination of American barbecue and authentic Thai dishes. This time we ordered primarily from the bbq menu, getting the pulled pork sandwich, pulled chicken sandwich, a side of Mac n cheese and a side of dumplings. The pulled pork was the star of the show-so juicy, smoky, and flavorful. The chicken carried the same level of flavors, with both sandwiches touting hefty portions. I absolutely loved the Mac n cheese. It was so creamy and rich, the way I love Mac n cheese best. The dumplings were our only foray into the Thai menu for the night but it was a strong indication of how delicious the rest of the dishes are. Also treated myself to a sweet glass of Thai iced tea. It was truly a delicious meal in a small but quaint spot. Our waitress was really sweet and took great care of us. Overall, I'm very pleased with this awesome mashup of two of my favorite food styles/cultures. Can't wait to come back to try more of the menu! read more

[On average I try smoked wing everywhere because being poultry it allows for much richer smoke flavor to come through. Poultry also allows for an good way to test the flavor of the sauces. The burnt ends are a good way of testing how BBQ done right can make a cheap, tough piece of meat delicious.] Scoring Service 8.3 The waitress was pleasant. She didn't offer to much conversation or recommendations. The food took a little long but expected with any bbq place. Order tea and water didn't get a refill. But we're talking about Grosse Pointe Woods so I expected no refills. She Atmosphere is a 8.8 This place is definitely unique. Awesome pictures and small art work around the room. There's only 4 tables in the place so expect to carry out or to hope for a free table. Paper covered tops that I like. Lots of Christmas lights. It's refreshing to have a place so keen and having constitution in an imperious city. The sauces 7.4 -Carolina Gold: Sweet tangy bold mustard bbq sauce. This is not an overwhelming flavor of mustard like most Carolina Gold sauces. Perfect consistency. -Sweet Spicy: it's the Bone Sauce with a Smokey peppery kick. Tamed nicely by its sweetness. -Bone Sauce: I feel it's called bone sauce because it's truly the backbone of this restaurant. It's a robust flavorful tomato based sauce. Definitely worth it. -Carolina Vinegar: this is a hard sauce. To have perfect consistency with a vinegar based sauce. Spices were well blended it was peppery and delicious. Was expecting more of a kick of heat but still one of my favorite sauces. Poultry Chicken wings 6.9 Smoked then fried, seasoned and brushed with sauce. Visually appealing, smoke on the wings was there but not prominent. The wings were fried a little well, not dry, not juicy. They were seasoned amazingly lightly but flavorful. Beef The Brisket 8.1 Pork The Ribs 8.2 Score 7.8 Overall not a bad place. Nowhere near best BBQ in Michigan. Amazing service amazing atmosphere fun and friendly. By a wide margin the best Thai in the Pointes. Every single dish we've tried has been stop-you-mid-bite delicious. It's made me realize what an absence of freshness the Thai food I've been eating has had -- even the stuff I really love. It's not a dine-in situation, even though there are a few tables out front where you could eat your carry-out, but for this quality of grub I'd happily sit on the sidewalk and eat. The owner and her daughter are completely lovely. This is exactly the kind of small business I'm thrilled to give my money to. We'll be regulars as long as they stay open. read more

Have only eaten here once so far, but I'm very impressed. I wanted something meaty and my fiancee wanted something ... not as meaty. They've been on our radar for a while due to their combo of BBQ and thai food. All plates are about 15 dollars but they are a bunch of food- well crafted and served. We got a few of the thai dishes (fresh rolls, garlic beef, drunken noodles) and some pulled pork with coleslaw. Everything was excellent! The pulled pork has a beautiful bark and the right amount of juiciness to be soaked up on white bread, with a lovely mustard bbq sauce and a creamy coleslaw that hits all the right marks. The thai dishes were packed with flavor with great sauces and just the right heat level. Right now they are curbside only - but the order was right on time and the employees were very friendly. Today was our first time trying Noble Pig and they did not disappoint! It was the best meal we have had in weeks. I should also mention that this is during the Covid shelter in-place state mandate. They were so professional kept the utmost attention to ensure food safety and cleanliness. I got the club sandwich and my husband got the cashew chicken. I loved the club but once I tried the cashew chicken... I don't know if I have ever had better Thai. Needless to say, we are excited to try the entire menu! read more

Four tables in the whole place, very limited seating. Luckily I didn't have to wait for a seat. Amazing food. I had the Texas something or other sandwich, and dining companion had the Cuban. 5 stars for each. Rich flavors, good textures, perfect amount of sauce already on the sandwiches. They had four divergent kinds of sauce you could add to your meal to your liking. The boobs sauce was probably my favorite. Carolina gold was a nice vinegar sauce, but still with a little sweet to it. My waiter was pretty attentive, talkative, likable, and even offered to to box up my leftovers for me. Great service. He's also the only person I've ever had offer me an Arnold Palmer drink. My complaint: they sold out of ALL their desserts... All of them except the ice cream. But who orders plain ice cream for dessert? I give them 4 stars really only because they didn't have any of the advertised desserts. Everything else was great! I'll definitely be back. read more

Easily the best thai food in the area. Only issue i have with this place is the inconsistent hours - ALWAYS CALL FIRST as they are often closed during their normally posted business hours but do a good job of updating their voicemail daily with any abnormal hours. As noted in some of the other reviews/pictures, the restaurant is small and geared towards carryout. Also, the website is not working last i checked, so I posted a picture of the thai menu. Haven't had the bbq, but I hear that's good too. My take on the items i've tried... Fresh rolls - good, but not a standout Cashew chicken - very good Garlic beef - very good Phad thai - very good Pad kee mao - very good Fried Rice - good, but not great read more

I went in to order two sides today. I was told I couldn't pay with my debit card as they have a minimum charge of 10.00 to use the card. I asked if I could use the card if I ordered a third side bringing the total to 9.38. The woman still said no. I told her Federal Law, Visa, and MasterCard all prohibit retailers from setting minimum purchase accounts (information readily available for review on credit cards dot com, and several other places on the Internet). She told me the guy working in the back had a law degree and she could get him to come to the counter to prove it. I didn't have time to argue with her. I'm happy to give my money to retailers who don't attempt to extort more money from a regular customer because they can't handle the low fees the credit card companies charge for their use. I'm not usually a defender of huge companies line Visa, but those charges help keep the system running without interruption, and pay for the credit card machines and infrastructure used. The food I've tried is good, but not good enough that I'm ok with being told I have to spend double than I planned to for lunch just so I can use my debit card. A retailer should care more about customer relationships than nickels and times. Plus half the time I go there they're closed due to catering. Oh well. read more

Noble Pig is a hidden gem in the Grosse Pointe/Harper Woods/Detroit area! My wife got the BLT and I had the Carolina Pulled Pork sandwich and both were outstanding! We shared sides of baked beans, potato salad and Cole slaw, and all three were delicious. The baked beans are peppery, but not too spicy. The Cole slaw is creamy and well seasoned - not bland! The potato salad was also good. The potatoes were cooked perfectly and the dressing was also well seasoned. My wife raved about the pickle slices that came on the side with her BLT. I have always hated pickles, but was compelled to try one because everything else was so good. I am astonished to say that it may be the only pickle I have ever tasted in my entire life that was delicious! Many barbecue places focus only on the 'cue, and give less attention to the side dishes. It disappoints me to give a local business one star...but do not have an open kitchen if you are going to be unsanitary! Anyway, ordered carry out. When I went to pick it up (already paid for) I saw the cook grab a large piece of raw chicken with his bare hands, place it on a blue cutting board and then proceed to go around the kitchen tending to other things. No gloves, no soap and water in between. I informed the very nice lady in the front that I no longer wanted the food and told her why. I got a refund. Then, I saw the cook plating to-go containers on the same raw chicken blue cutting board. I'm not a fan of salmonella or food poisoning, so I can't review the food and I won't be back. That being said, I hope the owner sees this and puts some policies in place before someone gets ill. It's frustrating to order, pay, and wait over thirty minutes just to see the irresponsibility of the cook, and have to go somewhere else. But, I'm glad I witnessed what I did so know not feed that to my family and friends. read more

I saw the review where a cranky, misinformed Yelper slammed/down-rated Noble Pig for it's $10 credit card minimum and felt compelled to write a review of my own. It's a small business, so a reasonable person can't reasonably expect NP to pay fees every time a low-dollar transaction occurs and stay in business. Many small business, particularly many small businesses in the area, do the same thing; leaving a vindictive Yelp! review because you didn't meet the $10 minimum and/or don't carry cash seems like a petty thing to do. Get over yourself! I really enjoy the food here. The brisket, mac and cheese and other BBQ items are really good. It's great to have this little gem in Grosse Pointe, where BBQ items are fairly limited. I plan on trying their Thai food in the near future! read more

Ordered carry out tonight. 45 min wait for carry out was excessive. Got the brisket sandwich. Thank goodness for the BBQ sauce or else I would have choked on it as it was so incredibly dry. Tried eating half. Had to toss the rest. They forgot one of the sides. I called back and the young woman who answered the phone got flustered and had me talk to the owner. No apology. He said they double check every order. Couldn't understand why it wasn't in the bag. I asked for a refund. He said no. Went and picked up the side and the young lady practically tossed it at me. First, I'd like to say that I've been to this place a couple of times so this was not one bad experience. After the first rough customer service situation we decided to let it go and try one more time. Unfortunately, there's not many choices when it comes to BBQ in our area. We've only ordered takeout as it's too small to dine in. The first time we ordered to go-we received a piece of uncooked chicken, which I called and they told me they would give me half of my money back because I had tried the chicken. Okay? How else would you know? This Seems like either a desperate business tactic or a place that doesn't understand customer service common sense. I even offered to bring it in for their inspection. The next time I ordered the ribs and they were great except, but they had completely changed the sides (fries were no longer good and the portions had been cut by half). While waiting at the counter I mentioned the previous uncooked chicken incident and the chef started yelling at me-while at the counter! So I gave it back and then the woman behind the counter started yelling at me saying that I was keeping the chef from his job. Huh? Good luck Noble Pig. The ribs are the only thing on the menu worth a second look, as the mac and cheese was dry and other side are nothing special. I don't know who is running this place but between the woman giving back half your money for uncooked chicken to the sweaty chef giving attitude to patrons I would suggest you pass on this one.
