Santa Ana Location review What an amazing sales experience! I was looking for a high end grill in the Lynx tier. I had I have done a lot of research and I do not like knowing more than the salesman when I making the purchase of the size. I had previously visited two other local barbecue stores and had acceptable experiences but wanted one more opinion. I was considering a Lynx, DCS or Alfresco freestanding Grill. The Barbecue Grill Outlet was easy to find and has ample parking. When you walk into the store it is well lit and welcoming. They have an excellent selection of grills of all price points. In addition they have lots of BBQ accessories, supplies and patio furniture. The store manager, Zack Caldwell immediately approached us and asked if he could be of assistance. I told him the type of grill I was looking for and he asked me some questions regarding the type of grilling I do and my cooking style. This was particularly important to me as I am a very experienced griller and smoker. He proceeded to show me the units that I was interested in, as well as a couple I had not considered. He was extremely personable. He had a very calm but confident style. He had encyclopedic knowledge about the grills and was clearly an avid barbecue guy as he answered all the questions I had including some esoteric ones about indirect grilling, smoking and rotisserie work. The best thing about him was that he was totally low pressure. While my wife and I were "kicking the tires", he printed out complete and well organized quotes for the final two grills I was considering. At the two other places I went to, the prices were identical, but they had to reference a catalog and hand write the quote or use a DOS based piece of ancient software which did not even have current SKUs. Here, the prices were clearly visible on laminated sheets at each grill. No mystery formulas or back room chats with the manager. Even though grills of this nature are fair priced and the quotes were virtually identical, Zack's personality, knowledge, and efficiency earned the sale. With Zach's help we ordered a beautiful Twin Eagles grill and requested set up and haul away of our old grill. It was promised in two weeks. Just over a week later, his order dispatcher called to set up the delivery. The grill was first sent to the showroom where it was unpacked and inspected. She was extremely pleasant and accommodating. She confirmed every detail to ensure that the grill arrived as promised. We took delivery 10 days after the order. The delivery and set up went very smoothly. The delivery people were very careful and did not leave a trace of damage even though the grill had to be brought through a narrow door and through the house to get to our patio. They set the grill up skillfully and even changed my gas hook up which need to be converted to 1 inch instead of 3/8 of an inch line. They reinspected the grill and tested it. Our entire experience was perfect from beginning to end. I couldn't recommend the store more highly and Zack was one of the best sales people I've ever worked with in any business. The grill is beautifully crafted and a powerful beast. It is a joy to operate. I just broke my baby in with a 2", 60 day dry-aged, bone-in ribeye. I had an old BBQ in an island so I was looking for a one-stop shop to take away the old and install the new. I called around and BBQ Grill Outlet was the only place that would do everything from start to finish. So even though they were way out of my way in Santa Ana (I live in the South Bay), I drove to their store to continue my conversation with Tony. Tony is a BBQ aficionado himself and answered every question I had including steering me away from models he thought cost more than their usefulness. Tony explained the current BBQ backorder was 12-14 weeks so I expected my install to happen in mid-November. However, things went quickly and the install was completed in mid-September! What a way to under promise and over deliver! The installation team of Leonel and Cristhian were fantastic. They were 45 minutes late (that was okay with me) but once they were here, they set up a pop up canopy and worked quickly using lots of tools and especially levels, over and over again. They cut into my granite countertop to make the new grill fit and added a stainless steel panel to the back where there would have been a big hole from the previous grill. The work is pristine and they vacuumed away the dust while they were working. They were a precision team and left everything in good shape when they were done. Finally...today I came in to see about purchasing an outdoor grill for my stand-alone BBQ area. As I walked in, I was greeted by a very very TALL sales rep name Tony. We talked about everything it offered to make my grilling dreams come true. I was sold.... just had to go and make sure the size will retro-fit into the existing one I had at home. SERVICE - Tony was professional, knowledgeable and not pushy like all the other sales people in this business. STORE - This store was clean and well equipped with grills, grill accessories, high-low end model grills and anything else that deals with BBQ-ing. FINANCING - They do offer financing for the folks that would like to finance their purchase. Their financing bank is Wells Fargo and they have a 6 months or 1 year plan. DELIVERY/INSTALLATION SERVICE - Yes they will deliver your grill for $65 and can install any purchase for a flat fee. Had a full custom job completed -- Built in BBQ, side burner, and sink. A really good experience and fair price. I shopped around the other options first. The cheapo route is to go with one of the places that sells full prefab units or builds islands "custom" to your measurements and then basically drops off the completed island at your house. That method will save money, but won't look fully built in and custom. The fancy route is to have a contractor or masonry pro build the unit onsite from scratch. That ends up costing far more (double probably) than the BBQ Outlet method. BBQ Outlet builds a steel frame offsite and then completes the installation onsite to make it appear fully built in at your exact specs. I don't think anyone can tell it's a steel frame and not technically "built in". The design and sales process was great with no cheesy sales tactics. The tile installation was perfect and the final install with Jose great. All requests were granted including making sure the stucco matched up with the existing wall perfectly.
