Delightful experience at this simple eatery! The bulgogi salad had a good portion of bulgogi and it was very flavorful. Good cuts of meat and generous portions of vegetables for the salad. The spicy mayo chicken bowl was pretty spicy for me (I have a medium tolerance lol), and ordering kimchi on the side was a good idea! It definitely helped balance out the flavors! Also, the prices can't be beat! Each bowl/salad was around $12/$13. Not bad! Parking was a little tight, but manageable! And there were a few spots to sit inside as well. Definitely worth it to eat there if there's space available! All in all - a solid four stars! I wish the air conditioning was on, though the inside was still comfortable. And it was a bummer that they didn't have water available / only for purchase, and I do wish there was a bit more rice in the spicy mayo chicken bowl! Again, the chicken was so flavorful, I needed just a bit more rice! All minor reasons to not get 5 stars from me, but I would definitely come back here! What a great casual place that has great bowls and very affordable! Simple menu with great flavors in each bowl. We got the bulgogi bowl and the black pepper chicken bowl with extra protein, and a side of kimchi. The only thing I'd ask for next time is less sauce; it was drowning in it and it was a little sweet for my tastebuds as well. It's in a small mini mall, but somehow, we were able to find a parking space on a Saturday evening. The person working at the front was very friendly. Compared to other locations this place for some reason serves everything burnt. Doesn't matter what you order, that's all you taste. As if the grill hasn't been cleaned since it opened and you get char flavored everything. I've ordered multiple times over the last year and it's been consistent. Really good bowls and super affordable. It really is meat and rice like the name says. They sprinkle a little bit of toppings but not much vegetables in there. We also got the kimchi on the side but it seemed pretty old. Small little spot, ideal mostly for takeout. Service was quick and friendly. The portions are huge. I can never finish a bowl in one sitting. The bulgogi bowl is flavorful. The kimchi is savory which is nice. So many places make kimchi more sweet these days which I do not prefer. The tofu bowl is very good too. The cucumbers are NOT traditional Korean bachan flavored cucumbers which are usually savory and often spicy. These cucumbers are sweet. This was a surprise to me the first time I tried them. Now I just exclude them when ordering. Staff is nice and the ambience is cute. Great go-to for a quickly prepared, yummy and filling meal. read more

I came here to say to try them out, I met Luis (Manager) and he was very friendly and professional, he recommended their Bulgogi Bowl, I ordered it and liked it very much. I also ordered their Korean Fried Chicken (sweet and spicy) it was delish when I ate it with the bulgogi bowl, I was surprised that it was chicken diced up (cut Kinda like orange chicken), it would have gone great with plain white rice. I took pictures of their places (menu,hours and dining area) Parking is a bit tight, it's a strip mall type of place that is easy to overlook because of curves of the road, a good landmark is it's across the street from Sprouts Market. This is one of their newer location that just opened up, I have gone to their other location around LA and I will say they definitely have the same consistency of producing a good bowl! We went around lunch time so the kitchen was a little busy but we only waited about 10-15 minutes (as a group of 8) for our meals and everything was super fresh!! I usually get the beef bowl but this time I got the spicy mayo chicken and both are highly recommended. The costumer service is friendly and they keep the establishment clean also. This place is quick and yummilicious!! I have never set foot into this place so I won't be able to talk about the ambiance BUT I can definitely go over the food. They have a really simple menu which could've been good or bad but for here it's a good thing. It could've been bad if they had a small menu and the food sucked. BUT it's good cuz the food is delicious!! My hubby's favorite is the bulgogi bowl with extra rice. I go back and forth from the spicy chicken to the spicy pork. They both come over rice with mixed veggies like cabbage, onions, mushrooms which is so freaking delicious!!! You can also get it with extra rice or extra veggies so that it is more filling even though for me it is filling enough. Normally it is good enough for 2 meals for me or one meal for my hubby. Lol I have yet to have anything that I didn't like. The bulgogi is good. The spicy chicken and spicy pork is delicious. They also have the other KFC (Korean fried chicken) which was yummy! I've had it twice and I think they need to work on the batter a little BUT it is still so yummy especially as K-Town is about a 45 minute ride away from here. Lol Each bowl comes with house made pickles. The pickles are kinda like sweet butter pickles but more sour. Whatever it is, it is yummy and adds a nice crunch and works like a palate cleanser too. It's delicious. They always package the food well for delivery so that it reaches me well. And the food is always always piping HOT. Normally, food from delivery is a little lackluster but here, everytime it's been hot, fresh and flavorful. Overall, this is a 5/5 stars for me. I've been going to BBQ+RICE since the OG location first opened on Sunset years ago, two blocks from my old apartment. When I saw they opened one near me in the valley, I was super pumped. My girlfriend and I each grabbed a bowl. She got the Bulgogi Beef while I got the Spicy Pork. I also got a side of the spicy Korean Fried Chicken. The guy that took our order was friendly. After a little wait, we received our food and went home. The portions were big and fresh. It was still really warm when we got home and delicious. I live next door and am happy with this place. Straightforward menu, tasty, surprising value! I compared 3 rice bowls side-by-side (BULGOGI BEEF, BLACK PEPPER CHICKEN, SPICY PORK). Each had potent flavors that were uniquely satisfying in their own way. Really can't rank them. Strongly recommend adding EXTRA VEGGIES to make it more balanced/healthy and not such a meat bomb. KOREAN FRIED CHICKEN - Not a huge fan of asian fried chicken since breading isn't crunchy. These are pretty good despite that. Not greasy/oily. You can get it coated in sweet & spicy sauce, but sauce on the side is better to not saturate breading and maintain texture. Sauce is awesome btw, starts sweet and isn't shy with heat - very spicy! KIMCHI - What you expect, but stands out with how they maintain delicate texture of veggies. FRIED CHICKEN DUMPLINGS - Love gyoza and these are a step above most. Big and flavorful with nice fry.
