    Hot & Sour Soup (Large)

Very tasty Chinese restaurant that I travel 17 miles for. My favorites are the Mongolian Beef and Schezwan Chicken entree. Both are very flavorful, juicy and use a lot of veggies and herbs, like white and green onions in the beef and red peppers, onions and mushrooms in the chicken dish. Both meats are very succulent and hit multiple flavor notes. In addition to the 2 entrees, I ordered the hot and sour soup and that one was extremely yummy as well. The portions are very generous and well-priced. The service here is always friendly and while I mostly order to go, I know that they serve you a complimentary pot of green tea before your dine-in meal even starts. And finally, this place is pretty spacious, has over 10 booths and the design is newer and clean. Will definitely be back for more!

First time ordering from this spot . (I ordered through Uber Eats ). Ordered : Beef & broccoli 9/10 Kung pao chicken 8/10 Mei Fun Noodles 6/10 Beef and broccoli wasn't chew and had nice flavor to it , would order again! Kung pao chicken was good but could've had more flavor in my opinion . Mei Noodles were disappointing . They did come with shrimp but there was very little flavor on the noodles . Overall I might order again and try different dishes but def would reorder the beef and broccoli .

Egg soup with corn and a side salad

Although the atmosphere is a step above a fast-food establishment, the food was rather good. This restaurant was suggested to us by some friends merely because of the eggrolls. The eggrolls were actually very good, but they should be for four dollars apiece, which in order consists of two pieces for eight dollars. We were there for lunch and I started my meal with the egg corn soup. It was surprisingly very good. The salads that come with the meal at lunchtime were extremely tasty and I was very impressed. My main course was the orange chicken, and my wife's dish was beef with broccoli. Both dishes were extremely tasty, but we found the beef to be somewhat tough. I would also like to add this is one of the few Chinese restaurants that we were able to get crispy noodles to put in into our soup. This is usually reserved for New York Chinese restaurants. The Thai tea was good, but nothing over the top. The restaurant was extremely quiet during a lunch hour, and we were able to have good conversation. We were with friends that I had not seen for 57 years and it was a good venue to sit talk and eat. I would come back again, but not make this one of my regular haunts.

Came here on Christmas, waited about 45 min but not too bad for a wait on Christmas. I really enjoyed the orange chicken, lowmein, and cream cheese wontons. Broccoli and beef was okay but have had better was a little chewy. Also wasn't a fan of the lemon chicken it was dry. But will come back for that orange chicken

6/10 Low mein good but beef wasn't good and had to take alll the pieces of beef out because it had a fishy aftertaste and inedible for me Orange chicken - good but I prefer pandas same with chow mein Decent but a little forgettable. The food was tasty and definitely a good value for what you get, but it doesn't quite measure up to some of the other Chinese spots I've tried. Everything came out fresh and hot, portions were generous, and service was quick and friendly. That being said, while I enjoyed my meal, nothing really stood out as memorable or crave-worthy. It's one of those places I'd skip for Panda Express.

My first time coming here so far it's really good and all the food dishes are very yummy & fresh . The service is great

    Extra spicy garlic sauces

I've been looking for good Chinese food for a while, and I finally found this place on Yelp. The food is absolutely delicious -- not too greasy, and full of great flavor. I love spicy food, so I usually ask for extra spicy garlic sauce, which always makes my night! I usually order takeout, and it's always been great. But last night was disappointing. The woman who looked like the owner was very rude when my husband asked for extra spicy garlic sauce. I had to go ask myself, and she clearly didn't like giving it to me, even when I offered to pay for it. For me, eating chow mein without that spicy garlic sauce is like having peanut butter bread without the peanut butter -- it's just not the same! The food is still delicious, but I really hope the customer service improves because this place truly has great potential.

I had a hankering for Green Apple China Bistro so here I am. Sarah and Carolyn were ready to extend to me superb service once again. The restaurant was very clean (as always). I ordered Lettuce Cups, Fried Chicken Dumplings, Fried Egg Rolls, and Chicken Corn Soup. Yummers! When you're hankering for some grub and you're in the area, see Sarah or Carolyn. They'll hook you up! Real Talk!!

The Steam Egg Custard Bun is great. Give it a try as either an appetizer (listed as such on the menu)) or a dessert (recommended).

We started with the beef rice noodle rolls -- soft, silky wrappers stuffed with savory minced beef. Simple but so well executed. We also got the salty fish chicken fried rice, nicely wok-charred without being greasy. Great value for the amount of food you get. What really stood out to me was the dim sum menu -- it's a solid size selection, more than I expected for a spot that isn't strictly a dim sum house. I'll definitely be back to work my way through more of it. Bonus: parking is easy here, which honestly can make or break a visit in this part of Studio City. No circling the block for 15 minutes. The beef chow fun with soy sauce ($18) had good flavor. The beef was tender. This was a good version. Szechuan beef ($21) was a little spicy for me but the meat was tender. Everyone else liked it. Sauteed string beans ($17) was also flavorful and did not disappoint. Half Beijing duck ($38) was very good. Crispy skin, moist and flavorful meat. It comes with cucumbers and hoisin sauce that you can roll in their provided wrapper. It seemed like regular flour tortillas to me. It wasnt the typical Asian crepe. We've also had pork shumai ($10) for 6 pieces. Mini baked bbq buns ($7.98) for 3. They were both good. Other dim sum plates were decent but the shumai and baked buns are what I remember liking. A friend recommended Shanghai Rose to me. Her family dines there often. I've driven by that intersection many times over the years but have yet to pull in. I remember when it was the old Chi Dynasty space. It's a good place for Chinese food and dim sum in the area. Located at Laurel Canyon & Ventura Blvd.

The delivery driver (John) waited for over an hour for the order to be ready. John kept me informed during the entire ordeal as he requested an update many times and continued to be told 'we are working on it'. Soup, noodles and rice. It wasn't a complicated order. But to keep the driver, and my family waiting is very unprofessional and discourteous of the restaurant. If you are slammed and experiencing an hour delay on food, you should tell your customers the truth. They will respect you more and understand (and appreciate) the situation. Unfortunately, I now feel as though I need to find a new 'go to' Chinese take away for future orders. By the time the driver delivers the food it will have been two hours since placing the order on Uber Eats. Can't risk this happening again.

A line of happy sushi chefs greet customers coming and going in the front. its funny since from the outside, the restaurant looks so unassuming from the street level. The food was excellent and I give 5-stars for the hot entrees like chicken teriyaki (5 stars) and the miso black cod appetizer (4 stars). Wife felt the miso was a bit too heavily sauced but I liked the rich flavors. We replaced the default rice with sushi rice and the sticky texture and vinegary flavor was well worth it. The Brussels sprouts and mushroom appetizer was also full of umami (4 stars). I got their nigiri combo with spicy tuna roll. Very good with fresh fish toppings (4 stars). I did not see an omakase option on the menu, but maybe that's off menu when price is not an issue. It turns out there is this small stretch in Ventura Blvd that has lots of sushi places, one that supposedly offers $400/person omakase.
