Delicious khao soiiiiii! This is not a popular Thai spot but still tasty. I enjoy every I ordered from the menu

I love Rustic Spoon! We come here for a quick bite or lunch and frequently order takeout. They're pretty fast, and everyone is so nice and welcoming. There's a calming atmosphere, and I really enjoy their playlists. One time, I ordered in advance to make sure everything would be cooked since we were in a rush, and they even prepared a table for us. When we arrived, they simply uncovered the plates, and everything was freshly cooked and ready to eat. It was actually impressive. We usually order the veggie spring rolls or the ones with chicken and pair them with peanut sauce, since the chicken comes with a different curry style sauce. Their soups and curries are so good! Today was the first time we tried the eggplant basil, and wow it was delicious. I'm glad we added a new dish to our go-to favorites!

Parking is street only. There are tables in front (covered-shaded) if you choose or inside the restaurant. We went for lunch and it was quite busy but it's easy to get a table. Love the ladies in the restaurant they are fast and service was awesome. Lunch specials came with free drinks, the free drinks do not include their specialty drinks. My husband got the Beef Penang with Purple Rice and I got the Soft Crab noodles. I didn't get to try my husband's Penang cuz my crab noodles were so good that i ate the entire thing. I needed to try The Rose Mint Mojito-Mocktail- it was served in a hug class ended up taking the rest home- very Rosy flavor . Love the restaurant. I will definitely come back!

Roti Appetizer: 5/5 recommend! It was fried which made the outside flaky but the inside was pillowy & pulled apart so beautifully.

This place is fantastic! The atmosphere feels warm with individual table lighting and a small pot of picked roses. There is light non-lyrical music playing in the background (I say this because many places use Thai or American songs that can be sung along to), an old school chandelier, and at the time I came there were still some nice Christmas decorations in the patio area. The two ladies working, Noi and Nada, were so attentive and sweet. They made sure I had everything I needed and even offered to re-up my tea pot with hot water. I ordered: 1. 4/5 Oriental Beauty Bouquet Hot Tea (chrysanthemum & jasmine) which bloomed in the clear tea pot in front of me. I asked for a side of honey to make it just right for my taste. 2. 4/5 The fresh roll with grilled chicken which comes with a thin peanut sauce. Next time I will order it with extra mint for my liking. 3. 5/5 A small bowl of the Tofu Soup which was so much more flavorful than I expected. It is a clear broth, which can sometimes be lacking in flavor, but this was so delectable that I picked up my hotel to finish the broth! 4. 5/5 The roti appetizer was soooo good. I have had it at other places before but here is by far my favorite. If you are looking for simmering light and healthy, don't pick this. The roti was fried which made the outside incredibly crispy and flaky but yet the inside was pillowy and pulled apart so beautifully. The curry was also so delicious that I asked for extra. Another table saw that I ordered it so they ordered it too. Be careful though because it is HOT when it comes to the table. I recommend opening it up (it comes folded) to let out the heat.

Perfect place for dine-in or for takeout! Every experience I've had here has been amazing. They have crisp spa water, delicious appetizers, yuuuuuum drinks (I love the bloody lychee), and perfect pad thai & pad see ew! Would highly recommend and can't wait to come back!!!!!!

    Egg fried rice spicy!

Sooooooo good! We sat in a cozy booth inside and we were greeted by the sweetest staff. We loved everything we ate especially the salmon roll appetizers. And I appreciate the tall glass of ice tea. Go here, then visit the design place down the street for a zen experience and then cross the street to the coolest bookstore ever for a great day in NoHo!

    Hair in Pho

Will never eat here again! Found hair in my pho!!!! I called to let them know and have my order refunded and they refused to refund my order. They also gave me a fake managers name and hung up the phone on me. Rude and completely unprofessional. This is no way you treat someone who spent nearly $200 on an order with hair in it!!!

    Pad See Ew with beef
    Stephanie T.

Rustic spoon is okay. The papaya salad portions are very generous and it was delish. I didn't like the pad see ew too much because they seasoned it with a lot of black pepper on top. I had to get chili oil to redeem the dish. They didn't have traditional Chinese broccoli as well. My husband got the pad thai and it was too sweet. Service was good but that's all. The restaurant was busy so perhaps there are other good dishes.

    Drunken Noodles and Coke, delicious

First time ordering here, delivery. I ordered Drunken Noodles and a soda. They didn't have my initial drink but called me and were so kind and I easily picked a new one. My food came hot and soda ice cold. Looking forward to trying more items from the menu.

Pad Thai was a solid option.

Like the location and the setting. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Dumplings, salad roll's, and other options were great. Would definitely visit again.

This place is quickly becoming my go-to casual mid week dinner spot. Even though its kind of a hole in the wall type joint - nothing special ambience-wise basically a small and easily overlooked restaurant, I am loving the food and quick service. Haven't gone wrong yet ordering various dishes off the menu over the past few weeks. I will definitely be back for more! Highly recommend to check it out for a quick date or bite if you feel Asian fusion food!

According to other reviews that I have read earlier today, the restaurant is under new management/ownership. Walked in today around 4:45pm and got a very nice, warm welcome from Alex - the owner himself. He told me to have a seat anywhere that I wanted, so I did. Alex himself took my order and the food came out pretty quickly and fast. I was very hungry so I got 2 main entrées and their regular small salad with peanut dressing. Ordered their Pad See Ew with beef & shrimp that also came with well cooked broccoli. I also got their crab fried rice and stayed with my water. Both entrees were cooked really well and were hot & tasty. My only complaint was that the beef was a bit overcooked and hard to chew. A lot of to-go orders and delivery/pick up by 3rd parties. Place was SPOTLESS CLEAN, including their gender neutral restroom. They also had nice decor all around. I really enjoyed my lunch and the portions being HUGE, took the rest home for my son to eat. Parking shared with 100 businesses:-) Thank you Alex & Noodle Monster!

Seated in a rather interesting part of North Hollywood, the summer heat did not deter us from eating here, as the smell immediately brought my worries elsewhere. A vast majority of the food here was fantastic, and the only reason I was going to opt for 4 stars was the takoyaki had quite a tiny portion in the actual dough ball- despite the actual breading so soft and fluffy, it was like the most delightfully extravagant packaging for something that was a bit of a let down. Though, much to the credit of our waiter she understood and offered to swap it out for another appetizer, which probably deserves the vast majority of the praise here. The vegetarian dumplings we ordered were legitmately some of the best dumplings I've had period. From the vegan mayo to the best gentle heat I've ever had the experience I've eating. Just hot enough for a brief moment with delightful heat throughout. The chicken skewers we had and the calamari were solid and with a perfectly paired Thai Iced Tea, I only hope to visit again and drown in dumplings. Cheers!

Crunch roll was on the bigger side, exactly what you expect of shrimp tempura and imitation crab . Lastly the soup , very very spicy . I even verified with the girl on the phone when placing the order i wanted jalapenos. The banh mi has no jalapenos, half the sandwich is daikon and carrots with a cucumber and the thinnest layer of overcooked beef on top. I ordered last month 2 banh mi and egg rolls. Banh mi had no jalapenos either, the egg rolls were missing lettuce wraps and the sauce was half the to go container. I've eaten here in person and received lettuce when eating in the restaurant, their yelp photos show lettuce wraps with the egg rolls. But every time i ordered egg rolls for takeout it is missing lettuce wraps. The one time i ordered and got the lettuce wraps with egg rolls, i had to explicitly tell them to add it that time. I thought this placed served the food as it should be in their culture? I've held back leaving a bad review of this place because i thought they would somehow improve or it was a one off mistake but this was the final straw. Consistently screwing up or intentionally holding back ingredients on takeout orders crazy. How much are you actually saving by with holding lettuce, sauce, and jalapenos??? This place used to be good, now it's just another above average spot. If you want banh mi, go somewhere else and be less disappointed.
