We visited here about a few weeks ago i forgot to post. We visited your establishment for the first time while shopping nearby, and it really caught our attention. Since it was our first visit, everything was new to us, but our server was incredibly nice, friendly, and accommodating with the kids. Located right at the corner plaza with plenty of underground parking, which is a huge plus. Came through on a packed Friday night but somehow got seated right away. The vibe is cool but a little too dark, and the tables are super cramped side-by-side. Got the crispy chicken to start...super crunchy and actually really good. For mains, we got the Tonkotsu Black and Tonkotsu Red ramen. The ramen isn't like mind-blowing, but it totally hits the spot. The noodles are on the thinner side, which I like. My first time at Jinya! Got there late so no wait. We ordered the crispy rice with spicy tuna appetizer, one of the bao buns and 3 bowl of ramen. The tuna crispy rice was better than expected. The bun was just mid. I had the classic Jinya chicken ramen with no added toppings. It was good. I liked the additional hot sauce/"seasoning" that they have on the table. Food was all good. Service was ok. We parked on Ventura Blvd. Nice that they had a lot of choices of types of ramen with lots of toppings to choose (although they charge for each one so gotta keep an eye on that). read more

A pretty good place for ramen. I hear the broth is pretty good. I had the pork bowl with rice. The rice bowl was a little dry but had good flavor. The server was very nice and told me about their rewards program which I signed up for but didn't know I had to do something before I left the restaurant. So bummer, no rewards for me. Nice stop after a day at Universal. I wanted to have a better quality restaurant after being at the park all day. This popped up and is conveniently close to the park. There is a small lot right outside of the restaurant, but more parking in a garage underneath. We probably got there around 9 and it was a little busy. We opted for outside, because it was the first available. Good thing there are heaters outside, as it was cold that evening. Service started off pretty well, our first server was really nice and enthusiastic. She helped my sister with some recommendations. We were served pretty quickly. I went with the Tonkotsu Black. Its as good as competitors in the greater LA area, so this might be the pick if you're looking for something in the area. The pricing is also comparable to other spots. We were there when it was time for our server to clock out, so the timing of things afterward were a little inconvenient with the switchover to a new one. The seating arrangement was also a little odd. The seats closest to the wall were buried into this wall bush decoration thing. Worth a try if youre in the area read more

Parking - There is plenty of space in the garage parking. The spaces are small and tight though. My friend drove their sedan there and it was still hard to get properly within the lines. Inside - They have outdoor and indoor seating. The indoor seating is a bit cramped. I'm not sure if it is a safety hazard to have the tables so close to one another but yeah. Other than that the vibe of the place is nice. Great music and good ambience to hang with friends for food. Seating - To grab a table you go up to the hostess and give them your number. When your table is ready they will notify you through text. I did not have to wait long to be seated. About 15 minutes. The staff were all very nice and the service was fast. Premium Tonkotsu Red - This ramen comes with pork broth, pork chase, green onions, seasoned egg, kikurage (ear wood), seaweed, chili oil, bean sprouts and ramen noodles. You get to choose from a spice level from 0-10. The waitress told us that 3 was considered mild so I got 4. I love eating spicy food so it wasn't that spicy to me. But if you cannot tolerate spicy I would stick between the 1-3 spice level range. The meat was very tender, the vegetables were done just right, and the noodles were firm. The only thing that I was not a fan of was their broth. It was very very salty and oily. I like salt, but it was a bit much for me. I prefer a lighter broth. The overall flavor profile was alright. I would give the ramen a 7 out of 10. Takoyaki - They were very generous with how much sauce they added on the balls. They also made the most perfectly crisp outside and big octopus pieces. This was a 8.5 out of 10 Overall - This was my first time here, but I don't think I will be rushing back. The experience was nice, but I just wasn't a big fan of the ramen. read more

Oh my goodnessss the best ramen iv'e had for awhileee!!!! Ive seen reviews talking about challenging parking but there is a huge free underground parking lot that is always usually empty! Upon entering the place is beautifully decorated but the stars of the show is the service and food that makes me come back to this place. I would definitely say the wait time is fairly long so I recommend getting there a bit earlier from lunch rush but the workers here are always so nice and energetic, I always order the tonkotsu red (spicy) with thin noodles and its honestly the best ramen I've had in awhile. We ordered ramen and gyoza at JINYA. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The gyoza were not tasty, and the ramen did not taste like authentic Japanese ramen at all. On top of that, we found a hair in the ramen, which completely ruined the meal. What disappointed us even more was the way the situation was handled. At first, we were still brought the full bill. I have come to the restaurant before and always found their service to be very slow. Yesterday, I did a pick up order. I was confused on whether there was a separate line for pick ups vs folks dining in. I had to wait almost 10 minutes just to talk with someone to relay that I'm here to pick up my order - it was sitting there the entire time. It was challenging to catch anyone's attention. Other people that were picking up were frustrated with the wait as well. I went on a Wednesday at around 2pm with both my parents. Erickson was the host and he quickly found us a table. Then we were assigned a server that started off ok, but she quickly developed an attitude. She heard that neither of my parents wanted anything to drink, and that I had asked for just water and 5 more minutes before we were gonna place our orders, and then she immediately lost all interest in providing any kind of service to us. She simply got lost and was just chilling and talking to coworkers (important that it was on a workweek day at around 2pm, so the store was slow). I was able to get Erickson's attention and he quickly took our orders, (Pro Tip: I worked in the food industry many years ago: if I skip on getting drinks with my meal, it probably means that I want to pass on those savings to the servers in the form of a proper tip) and provided us with excellent service. He single-handedly bumped this review from a 1-star rating to a 4-star rating. When the check came, I noticed Erickson showed up as our server so I tipped him properly and didn't even bother to get the girl's name because of how furious I was due to the crappy service. Crappy treatment from that woman aside, the food itself was fantastic. I was able to get the Chef's Special, so did my dad, and my mom got the Lunch Special. The Demon Slayer spoons were mega cool (main reason why I came, tbh), and the ramen itself was delicious and was a generous portion! read more

Our drinks arrived shortly - the J girl mocktail was heavy handed with the mint and lacked blood orange flavor; the house hot sake was good. The eggplant was perfectly cooked. Had a delicious flavor if not slightly over sauced, The black sesame ramen was delicious and devoured.
