No one was sitting outside, we asked if it was alright since we had our dog with us, she didn't hesitate when saying "absolutely let me get everything setup for you!" Great food at a reasonable price! I tried their meat and two - which stretched out to three meals! Their Memphis BBQ is awesome and I combined that with the fried broccoli and a loaded baked potato. I now have a new favorite way to enjoy broccoli. Yes, I wrote, "enjoy broccoli." When done BB's way, it was crunchy, tasty and I got my greens in to go with that tasty loaded potato. While I had just some of the BBQ and potato, I finished the broccoli but left room for the best part - pie. Let me tell you, pie isn't just a transcendental number, BB's pecan pie is a transcendental experience! Service was great and while it may be something of a regular looking place, they have live music on Saturday nights. I had seen this restaurant in Gordonsville and thought about trying it, but the weird font of their signs made me wonder if it was really a restaurant. So, finally this week I was in the area and wanted some lunch, I had not found a restaurant in Gordonsville that I really liked. I was happily surprised with my visit to BB's Bistro. I treated a crew that had done some work for me and all of us enjoyed our meals, plus the service was great. The interior of the restaurant was comfortable; all of the tables had marble tops, chairs were comfortable. I had 12" cheese pizza (I think that's the best way to see if their crust, sauce and cheese are quality). Taste was very good. The other two guys both had meat and two; both had catfish and loved it. I tried a bite of the catfish and will have it on my next trip. The tartar sauce seemed to be homemade and was delicious. Had dinner here recently and wasn't disappointed. Not only were the club and catfish sandwich amazing but so were the staff. I had my 7 month old son with me and the staff were so welcoming, the owner or manager came over and actually offered to walk my son around while I finished eating. He loved it and enjoyed seeing the kitchen/being with new friends. Total kindness and southern hospitality! Found this place on a whim and now can't wait to return for the food and heart!! read more

Traveling back to VA from CA after a recent family tragedy, we stumbled on BBs. We have eaten at many places, at this point of our trip, BBs would be the only place so far I would leave a review. The place is small, be patient because you will be served one of the freshest and best meals. With a smile. We enjoyed the hospitality but we especially enjoyed our food. It's SO easy on a road trip to get hungry and eat fast food right off the freeway - and this is NOT how we roll. BB's is just south of the 40 east of Nashville... seriously 1/2 mile... trust me, drive the 1/2 mile beyond Wendy's. We took our delightful server's recommendation for the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich (yum!) and any of their burgers (I chose the blue cheese burger and WOW!). Both came with crazy good fries. We ordered a side of southern greens too (an extra pinch of salt and they were perfect!). Of course, a meal at BB's isn't over without pie... since we were starving, this is the only part of the meal with a picture - my husband had the butterfinger pie and couldn't stop raving about it. What a find!! We were out looking at homes and relocation in the area. We Yelped restaurants and this one came up and it was close. We went in and it was a very clean and cozy little space. The employees were all very courteous and accommodating. We had the Catfish. It was delicious. The sides were also very good. We were very pleased at our find and will be going back to visit them again. If you are close, or not so close, go and see them. Highly recommended. read more

Literally the best grilled chicken and catfish I've ever had. Just happened to see a billboard on the side of the road. Right down from the Pilot!! I highly highly recommend stopping here to eat. We stopped at BB 's Bistro for lunch. The pork chops, blackened catfish and BLT sandwich were very good. For dessert you have to try the lemon cold-box and buttermilk pies. We had BBQ pork, onion rings, fried cod, salads, and 3 kinds of pie (lemon ice box, pecan, and butterfinger) and everything was so... YUM!! With hearty serving sizes (each "plateful" was plenty big enough to split), reasonable prices, and a welcoming staff and friendly small town feel (exemplified and passed down from the owner Debbie who should probably win the town's hospitality award), the only disappointment was that we don't live close enough to be "regulars." 10/10 Highly Recommend!! read more

We were in the area and found this restaurant on YELP. It is south of I40 off Hwy 53. We were there for lunch and had the meat and three. Everything we had was delicious, especially the hash brown casserole and fried chicken. The corn casserole was to spicy for used. It is a very clean and friendly restaurant. So excited there is a good place to get a meat and three plate. We were there on a Sunday at lunch time. It was full and service was slow because they were short of help. The patty melt, burger, fried chicken, and cheesecake were delicious. The staff went above and beyond, double-checking for food allergens.
