Chips and bean dip was complimentary.

While I enjoy visiting any BB's , I attended this restaurant twice recently. Located just off of Hwy 249, it's easy to get to and has plenty of parking spaces. They have a large outdoor and covered dining area along with the interior dining area that also has a full bar. I ordered Bedtime in the Bayou which is their fried shrimp po boy that comes with fries for $15. The waitress brought us a complimentary appetizer of chips and bean dip that was very good tasting and something not on the menu. My po boy was also delicious on tasty bread with fried shrimp and was dressed with lettuce, tomato, pickles and mayo. The fries were good too and I would order this meal again (4). Another trip was to try their Maw Maw's gumbo with chicken and sausage. A bowl of it is $15 and it comes with some bread and crackers. This too was a very good tasting meal. The roux was rich in flavor and there was plenty of chicken, sausage and rice in the bowl. Again another enjoyable meal (4). In both visits the table service was prompt and friendly. Good Cajun food and a nice atmosphere are some of the reasons why I will be returning to this BB's!

My absolute complements to the chef....the seasonings were perfect-no "dead" recooked crawfish! I wanted to call the chef out and give him a standing ovation-but I ate too much! Our waitress was wonderful- I think her name was Kat, such a sweetie! Want to give her a shout out! She even took care of our pooch with a bowl of water! We will be back' Lately places have forgotten haw to cook crawfish with seasonings and flavor! Impeccable!

Went to this place for the first time and I liked it. We went to water creature wednesdays and got he soft crab. Very impressive, kinda wanted more seasoning but it still hit. Had the oyster, and that was probably the only thing that was mid. The service was awesome and very friendly. Erin and Jerrica helped us with everything we needed and made the experience even better. I want to go back for more soft shell crab. Lol.... They have a dip and chips that is fiiiire. The bean dip, is crazy good. I shouldve got a bowl to go.

The shrimp and grits were outstanding. Loved the ingredients mixed in with the shrimp and grits which gave it amazing flavor. They have Crystal as well as Tabasco which really kicked the meal up a notch. We received our saladr and dinner almost at exactly the same time so it was a bit overwhelming and would have preferred to have had the items spread out a little more rather than everything at once and waiting for everything to arrive at one time. Our wait staff were very friendly and nice. super personable and could speak both Spanish and English. The atmosphere is a blend of Texas and New Orleans just like the name but it does lean on New Orleans Louisiana for atmosphere. There are regional drinks found in Louisiana that can also be found here. My spouse found that her Margarita was a little too sweet but not a real big problem. Prices were just a little high and portions were just a little small. See Photos.

We got seated a little before 5pm on Easter. We looked around and didn't see any of the complimentary chips until 20 to 40 minutes after sitting down. The table near us (arrived around the same time) received two and another table that got seated after we received the our food received one. Every time we asked for a status update, the staff said they didn't see any. After a while, someone came by to explain how they've run out of chips. They were running a $35 for 5 lbs. of crawfish promotion, and it came out at 5:30pm. I ordered the super greens salad with the sauce on the side, which had to be remade because the waitress saw the sauce had been added. We asked for the salad order to be canceled, and the waitress said it depends on if they've made it already. A waiter came by to drop the salad off at 5:51pm. It did taste good and didn't have any wilted pieces. The salt from the blue cheese, sweetness from the minced candied pecans, and tartness of the dressing and sliced grape tomatoes melded well with the curly greens. There seems to be a bit of disconnect between what the kitchen has ready and when staff should come by to pick food up. Th crawfish were mostly medium sized with a few larger ones. The Bayou flavor feels powdery on the hands and light on the tongue. The rice is 50 cents a cup and was kind of hard, which was kind of understandable as it's usually for soaking in gumbo. One of the metal parts of the outdoor patio chairs was kind of sticking out, so it snagged on my pants. Sitting in the patio was kind of chilly. It was busy but only 2-3 small groups were waiting at a time. We had to retrieve a roll of napkins for our table when food finally arrived. When we asked for a fork, it arrived quickly in its paper bag. Upon opening it, it had caked on stringy remnants. The staff were friendly when you had their attention yet were inattentive while away from the table and only seemed to pay attention to their tables.

Came her for a Saturday lunch with my husband. I had been to another location before and really loved their gumbo. We tried their boudin balls, a fried fish platter, and gumbo. Of course we also had to have a frozen beverage as well... Never pass up a frozen beverage... Anyway- the gumbo was not quite as good as I remembered, but everything else was super yummy and filling. I really loved their boudin balls- always a great starter. Our waitress was super friendly and helpful. Overall a great Saturday lunch!

I've been coming to the BB's Tex-Orleans location on 249 for over a year, but unfortunately this visit completely changed my opinion. I ordered the Bayou Blessing boil, which includes crawfish, shrimp, snow crab, corn, and potatoes. While eating, I discovered a snail sitting in the boil that clearly did not belong in the dish. Seeing that immediately killed my appetite. I brought it to the manager's attention hoping the situation would be taken seriously. Instead, he asked what I wanted him to do about it, and even made a joke saying that "everything here is edible and delicious." Finding something like that in your food is not funny and should have been handled more professionally. To make matters worse, the only thing taken off my bill was one $5 drink, even though I stopped eating the meal entirely after that. The response felt dismissive and did not reflect good customer service. After supporting this location for over a year, this experience was extremely disappointing. Between the food quality issue and poor service, I will not be returning.

That's free, I'm not sure at all locations. It's salsa/bean/cheese dip idk.

My experience started online , I made an order for pickup and when I sat to eat it, there were a few mistakes made that I could not just ignore. I hate being the guy who needs a correction or a refund etc. I'm real go with the flow and trust me I know EVERYONE makes mistakes so I never get angry or frustrated at all, but I spent my money there and thought I'd at-least call them to see if anything can be done. Well I spoke with management and they not only apologized sincerely but guaranteed they would fix the issue by remaking my order completely whenever I chose ! All I had to do was go in and say my name. Today I took them up on that offer and they made me one of the best bowls I've ever had from Cava in my life and didn't charge me a dime! They were friendly , nice , and most importantly professional about the entire situation. I am big on customer service , I own a few businesses and when I see people doing the right thing I think it deserves a shout out! So to all of the Cava staff this is my shoutout to you! Whether it's trendy or not, I'm happy to say that after 2 years away, I can now revisit Cava with fresh eyes and a fresh perspective. Most elements of this shop have remained the same over the years. Fast casual customizable product. Simple straightforward options with a Mediterranean twist. Fountain drinks with a few worth while additions. They are however mixing things up with glazed salmon, seasoned pita chips and something strawberry sesame for the summer. I won't detail the ordering process because if you've been to any restaurant of this type, you've been to them all, but I will say that even though there were a few hiccups in my order (the crew was replacing meats, but did not replace the salmon leaving me with older salmon, and my greens ended up on top leaving a pool of sauce at the bottom of my bowl after confusion around limited power greens), they're still worth the revisit. They were slammed after all and even with the hiccups I enjoyed my bowl and appreciate the ingredient transparency. Happy healthy eating out!

The self-service fountain drink area smelled strongly of mildew or old sponges, and the counter was very sticky and wet. I understand a mess during a lunch rush, but the lingering odor was a big turn off. I ordered a White Chicken Parm, and the chicken was unpleasantly rubbery in some areas- I regretfully had to spit out a piece, which I genuinely try not to do out of respect. Pasta was also too salty for my taste. The menu description also lists broccolini, but the reality was more of regular broccoli that was also soft to the point of being slightly mushy. The K'Pop Chicken (cute pun) is a popcorn chicken version of Korean fried chicken with a sticky glaze that has a bit of a kick to it, while the Soy Glazed Chicken is (what I think is) their grilled option, which tastes exactly as it sounds. I definitely recommend the K'Pop chicken, but both were tasty. Ingredient options are fun but REALLY fusion-y... obviously, don't come here expecting any type of authentic experience. I sent a friend to pick them up and specifically told her there would be two separate orders. She arrived right when the restaurant opened, was greeted at the door by an employee. She told the employee that she was there to pick up an order and the employee told her my name (so they were expecting the order to be picked up) my friend told the employee there were two orders. The employee handed her what she said were both orders, so my friend had no reason to believe anything was missing. After she returned to my house, we began preparing for a lunch party with about 20 guests. When it was time to serve, we realized one of the orders was missing. I called the restaurant and was told, "Yes, your order is still here." I asked if they could deliver it since the mistake happened during pickup, but they refused. When I asked how they planned to make the situation right and requested some type of compensation for the inconvenience, the manager became rude, raised her voice, and yelled at me. Keep in mind, this was a $136.00 order. What was especially frustrating was that the manager repeatedly insisted the problem was my friend's fault because she didn't specify that one of the orders was a "catering order". My question is: How is a customer supposed to know they need to say that? Nowhere during the ordering process was I told that catering orders are handled separately or that I needed to instruct my pickup person to ask for a catering order specifically. We did exactly what any reasonable customer would do--we gave my name, stated there were two orders, and trusted the employee when she handed over what she said were both orders. I called back hoping for a calmer conversation, but the manager was just as rude the second time. In the end, my son had to make a 40-minute round trip to pick up the missing order while I stayed behind trying to host my guests. Mistakes happen, and I understand that. What I cannot understand is the complete lack of accountability and customer service. A sincere apology, an offer to help, or even acknowledging that the employee should have verified both orders were picked up would have gone a long way. Instead, I was blamed for something I had no way of knowing and treated disrespectfully. The missing order was frustrating, but the manager's attitude and unwillingness to take responsibility are the reasons I won't be returning to this location.

My friend and I were having the best time in catching up. Food was lean. Smoothies tasted so good. My friend loves their coffee there. I wish I had the energy to visit the surroundings of the restaurant. But given how hot it was, I had to leave this for another day. Parking isn't the easiest but keep in mind this is a popular spot! I really appreciate this unique concept to remind us where the food comes from. Highly recommend, as long as you have a lot of patience !

My husband and I ate here many years ago that it doesn't even count since we couldn't remember our…read moreexperience. We ordered in the drive-thru during that time. Thus, we were literally in shock when we entered into the venue and realized that it is a SIT-DOWN RESTAURANT! I didn't think it would be fast food style like Popeye's or KFC. However, I imagined it would be along the line of Cane's, but a little more upscale. My first reaction was, "Aww man, I'm going to have to pay more for something that is already sort of pricey." I'm thinking in terms of tipping. HOWEVER, I actually had a really great time here. The menu is simple, yet unique simultaneously with monthly special burgers and Korean inspired flavors. I LOVE the fact that you can substitute the crispy chicken for GRILLED. I'm all about eating out, enjoying food, but also trying to select better options. Healthy eating doesn't mean boring! This place seems like an American/Korean fusion restaurant, or an Americanized version of Bon Chon. The vibe is really cozy, intimate, and chill. It's a great spot to casually hang out with friends or family. The wait for the chicken was long, BUT it was worth the wait. The food was hot and fresh. The Korean BBQ OG Grilled Chicken Sandwich - It was huge! Even though I am a petite 95 lb lady, I devoured that sandwich. The flavor wasn't an authentic Korean flavor, but it wasn't bad! It was more sour and salty for my taste. I think it would balance out more if there were no pickles, and a mixture of the kimchi carrot slaw + regular mayo based coleslaw. Szechuan Fries - The Szechuan mustard sauce is powerful and incredibly overwhelming. I do NOT recommend that sauce at all. I think if you order these fries, just OMIT that mustard sauce. I felt like all my sinuses cleared up and my eye balls were about to pop out. Dirty Fries - You can't go wrong with cheese fries. I am not a sour person, so I didn't enjoy the pickles on the fries. Our server, Brenna, was INCREDIBLE! She is the main reason why this review is getting a 5 star. She didn't know that it was basically our first time and she still gave us exceptional service. She was friendly, patient, and sweet. We ordered the Szechuan Fries because it was a free offer upon signing up for their rewards program. I told her I didn't like the mustard sauce and she offered to get us the Dirty Fries! I was like, "What?!" The fries were already free, so I didn't expect her to even offer a substitution. ALSO, for the Kid's Meal, she let us know that the side could be substituted for something else at no extra charge. If she didn't make that known to us, we would have had no idea. I'm glad she mentioned it because the boys LOVE mac & cheese, so that was perfect. Also, we were already getting fries, so it helped us to get more variety. All in all, the place is a little expensive, but I had a great time. The service was superb, the food was great, and I noticed that they are involved in the community. I love supporting businesses that give back. Thus, I would recommend trying this place out, even if it's just once!

Accustomed to Houston hot chicken, Red Chickz and the like, I causally walked into Tumble 22 fully…read moreexpecting a fast casual, order at the counter experience. Boy was I surprised to be seated by a hostess only to glance around to find a bar, enclosed patio and semi open kitchen. Did the meal itself differ from its fast casual counterparts? Not by much, but the offerings were more robust. I love to see pie on the menu alongside shakes, and while Mac and cheese and fries are welcome, orange chicken, Korean spices, broccoli salad, collards and heavenly eggs are a welcome change of pace. Our first trip (dine in) was about a 4-5 star experience. I waiter was not the most attentive and the food took quite awhile but the experience was positive enough for me to return. The second trip was a drive thru experience and it was...not as pleasant. Our service wasn't the best, our attendant less than enthused to be doing their job. A matter of fact, I felt like I was bothering her by ordering. While my food was fine, my sandwich came without napkins and again the food (one sandwich) took quite awhile. I'm unsure if I'll return with so many options in the area, but I'm glad I experienced them twice!
