Ventured in here on a weekday for lunch to kill some time before an appointment. I don't think they are usually open for lunch on the day I went or were trying it out since the days are longer. I was the only one in the restaurant so I was treated to personalized service. I ordered the Catfish and Shrimp plate. Good flavor and definitely hot right out the kitchen. However, and I'm not sure if this was a one off or what, the fish batter was a bit too salty. Shrimp batter was fine, but something about the catfish batter.... Too much salt for sure. They should offer a half po boy with cio of soup or side offering. If you want New Orleans food and don't want to drive or fly to NO, simply come here. Shrimp po by: absolutely fresh and made to order. The shrimp they use are of great quality. Very flavorful. The bread is outstanding. I will definitely know where to go next time i crave a po boy. The red beans and rice with andouille sausage was so tasty. Had so much flavor. Literally made to perfection! Things to work on: they ran out of the sausage for the po boy. Food- I tried one of the catch of the days and had substituted it with 2lbs of boiled shrimp... they had just started boiling it so I just thought it was about to be great... WRONG. This is my second experience in two weeks. I went to New Orleans SEAFOOD & Daiquiris for boiled shrimp and potatoes. They were out of ALL seafood at a seafood restaurant (Friday). The next Friday I went for Turkey Necks and potatoes, they had NO potatoes, the only boil items they had were turkey necks and pig feet. i ordered turkey necks, the price says $3.45, my total is $6.48, the prices on the menu are incorrect, "Oh she needs to fix that". I receive my turkey necks and they are NOT cooked all the way. The gentleman must get complaints all the time, he threw them in the trash and refunded me my money. The owner is sitting at a table playing spades while all this is happening. Please don't waste your time going to the place. I really want this place to do well! Hubby and I visited on Fathers Day. Business was slow, I'm sure due to the "holiday" and it was raining. The people were so nice and helpful explaining the menu and drinks. We even had a chance to try their Boudin Balls, which were not in the menu yet. Hubby had the shrimp poboy, it was delicious. I had the gumbo, which was so steaming hot, the first spoon burned my mouth a bit. I was so cautious afterwards, I really didn't enjoy it like I wanted to. It taste really good though. Boudin Balls were good too. The drinks are strong, if you like em strong, this is your spot. Hubby had the drink with all flavor mixed, I forget the name, he loved it. I had a single flavor, it was good, but too strong for me. They mentioned they will start serving virgin daiquiris soon. I'm looking forward to it. And will return soon! Planned to host a party here in August so I paid a deposit of $49.80 April 26th. My receipt shows that I was charged for pina colada daiquiri just to poduce a receipt. There would also be a $50 charge for cleanup. I got a larger venue so I didn't need the spot after all. Informed owner May 5th via phone that I was no longer needing her spot. May 8th & May 10th she would not respond to texts. I was still wanting to pay her to provide appetizers even tho we were not going to use her spot.
